- Incidents of mob lynching that rocked Kisii County in recent days have forced authorities to confront the question of superstitious practices in the region and particularly the contentious issue of witchcraft. In recent shocking cases, elderly women were targeted and killed by mobs on suspicion of practicing witchcraft. Government responded to the ghastly lynching by forming a taskforce to interrogate the disturbing events in Kisii. Citizen TV’s Gatete Njoroge spent time in villages across kisii County seeking to explain the trends of brutal death, destruction & distrust associated with witchcraft. Here is inside the witch hunt.

Him saying so doesn't make it true and it certainly doesn't justify her murder. Be careful, someone who wants to get rid of you can just accuse you of witchcraft and have you murdered to take your property or to just get rid of you.
This is why I believe to develop in some other areas is just hard for most people, if it's not backwards culture, it's backwards religious practices,culture and family that drags people down. Good example is such stories. Countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, syria etc...
