I ended up on a "Do Not Foster" list because of it.
The doctor made a medical error that made me hemhorrage, code, die and be revived., which made me not able to have more kids.
So referred to DCF illegally, made barren, can't foster, and they sent me a bill for $26,000.

Did you not have it listed on your medications list with your obgyn?
Every time I went to see mine, they went over what medications I was taking, including supplements. They wanted to make sure they knew if another doctor prescribed me anything else or if i started taking any new supplements. And I could go online to my records and request they add or remove something from that list between visits. When I got to the hospital they had me tell them everything I was taking and what it was for and the schedule I follow for taking them...then they had their pharmacy give me those exact medications at the right time, so I didn't have to take my own supply. I was even prescribed oxycodon acetaminophen for a kidney stone a few weeks before I went into labor and my obgyn put that in my list even though I was finished taking it by the time I went to my next appointment after being prescribed it in the ER.

This level of willful incompetence is beyond unacceptable. The hospital administered the medication, and instead of taking responsibility or even clarifying the situation, the patient was reported and punished. This is systemic negligence, plain and simple.
Hospitals and authorities have a duty to investigate thoroughly before taking action against a patient. The fact that this was not done shows a complete disregard for patient rights and dignity. It is outrageous that patients are being blamed for substances the hospital itself administered without any effort to verify the facts.
This is a clear violation of patient trust and likely breaches laws like HIPAA and informed consent. It reeks of coercion, abuse of power, and medical negligence, and it is causing unnecessary trauma for families who are already vulnerable.
We need systemic change now. Hospitals must be held accountable for their actions, and authorities must be required to investigate these situations fully before targeting patients. This is not just incompetence. It is cruelty. Enough is enough.

A Similar thing happened to me, fortunately my baby was born healthy. When I nursed him I told the nurses that I was in pain and they had given me something for the pain. The next day they took a blood and urine from my son and threatened to take him from me and put him in the system because of the drugs (that they gave me) found in his system. I told them, I DON'T DO DRUGS and it took my Pastor/Grandmother to convince them that I never took a drug that wasn't prescribed to me. BTW this happened at a hospital in Crown Point, IN. In retrospect, I should've sued the ish out of them!!!!!

Thankfully one of the nurses asked if I was still on magnesium and pain meds when my husband delivered the milk to the NICU. He told them yes. I then had to write on the milk that I was taking IV meds and have L&D send a list of medications to the NICU because it looked like I was on “fentanyl” and other pain medications. I’m getting my tubes tied in a few months. 🙄

I remember a woman placed in temporary residence (Whyte woman) because she had just given birth. The woman snored loudly and made that known. How bout the woman who bought her home ended up calling CPS because mom rolled over on the baby sleeping beside her. The baby was fine as they were sleeping on the sofa.

What scares me is that they Even prescribe this stuff to pregnant people, knowing that this isn’t good for them anyways

I was once hospitalized for an unknown condition. Told the doctor my regular physician gave me a prescription for Valium but that I had not been taking it. He wrote in my chart, "patient is asking vor valium." THAT'S NOT WHAT I SAID!! As a medical professional I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT TRUST HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. Question everything they do and verify everything you can.

I think in America there is some invisible rule written where it's okay to do that if the patient isn't white, just like how in America there is a invisible written rule that it's okay to kick your underage kid out of the house if he or she is gay.

I was attacked by the hospital social worker because i didnt want to breast feed my twins. (not in front of their creepy old lady breast team they send to the rooms) She busted into the bathroom while i was in there and was screaming at me and said i was the worst mother she had ever seen at the hospital. Im still traumatized by it 23 years later. Just cuz i dodnt want to breast feed AT the hospital.

Im Canadian and never heard of pregnant women being given opioids in the hospital as its dangerous for the baby. We dont even get opioids after surgery without begging and having a surgeon who will okay it.
