Guys I was playing halo 3 at 9:00 and there were 2 grunts this is what they said grunt 1: "do you have any grenades"? Grunt 2: "how many do you need"? Grunt 1: "just5". Grunt 2: "6" grunt 1: "7" grunt2: "but you just said 5" grunt 1: "I was following your plan"! Grunt2:"what plan we were saying numbers"! Grunt1:"I said how much grenades"! Me: "shut the fuck up". Then i shot the first and the second one said "you giant bullying monster"! Me: LOL.
Well i got all my clips for each one of these videos on heroic or under. Made it easier to catch lines when you didn't really have to worry about dying. and as far as i know the lines arent any more common on legendary than they are on easy, but ya never know there might be specific ones that can only be heard on legendary.
@mariusvanrhijn Well thats not something that you could be sure of. It may be a glitch but it may be a line that was meant to sound like a scared grunt who is having trouble putting words together. I see it as more likely that he said what I put than that there was a glitch where he said a line meant for when grunts sleep.

@janewillow1 I say lazy. Halo C.E. took place immediately after Reach ended, but the Grunts spoke English there, so why not a couple weeks earlier during the attack on Reach?
2:32-2:34- "He flees. Let him go." 3:25-3:26- "Told ya. Chickens." I heard those lines while playing Halo 3 ODST. I laughed so hard. I couldn't believe I actually heard those lines, and it was on the Easy difficulty.
@SavageRush012 depends. Perhaps the Arbiter's fleet had more english speakers than the others. I would assume Grunts with language knowledge would be above those without, and not be thrown on the front line. just guessing. that, or the only reason we heard the Grunts speaking english is because Cortana was translatting it

He says, "On birthday...I....sit on rukt....remember to do," or maybe even, "sh*t on rukt." It wouldn't make sense for him to say fist of rukt in that spot.

I knew they were bonded in pairs, which explains why one goes berserk and tries to smash everyone when you kill one of them, even if only a little.
