They say everything is possible with God, but when they say is it possible to stop sinning they say “impossible”.

Are you serious? Yes God will help us humans through our struggles but he’s not gonna fill us up with pride. Jesus was the only one to be sinless perfection, why would God give us regular degular human beings the ability to be sinless perfection like him? If we could be, then why would we need a savior if we ourselves could be justified by the law?
Also your logic is very whacky, you saying God can make us be able to stop sinning and be sinless beings, is like saying God will give us superpowers and give us the ability to fly and shoot lazors out of our eyes if we ask for it

Your problem is you are a mocker walking in your own lusts. You don’t BELIEVE the Scriptures, you mock them -
“how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you 👉faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,”
      ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬-‭20‬, ‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will 👉never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
      ‭‭II Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
It’s not prideful to not sin, it’s prideful to rebel against God according to the Bible.

@endtimesareuponus8930 well, we will grow in things like knowledge and in love and fruits of the Spirit, but as far as known sins yes the Bible says He is able to keep us from stumbling -
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,”
      ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”
      ‭‭I John‬ ‭3‬:‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
If you’re abiding in Jesus you won’t sin is what the Bible says.

@endtimesareuponus8930 I would argue even unknown sins if you are being led by the Holy Spirit He will lead you away from even sins you don’t know though.

@endtimesareuponus8930 repenting means you stop something totally and never do it again. Can you do it again? Well yes we all have free will and can go back to our sin like a dog returns to its own vomit. But true repentance comes a complete freedom from sin. If you haven’t been made free then you are still a slave to sin and need deliverance. As Jesus said in John 8 - these believers will not abide in the house forever.

That's right brother. People that say that are basing their doctrine on human experience and not on what the word of God says or what God promises He will do.

    Great work as always!!!
Here is my understanding and the realization that I have come to regarding sin. When you pray for the lords holy spirit, regarding a sin that you are trying to turn from and genuinely sorry for, he gives you the ability to control yourself. Say you are having lascivious thoughts and are honestly seeking repentance and you ask the lord for help, once he gives you his spirit, you are actually able to control your desire. This makes it SO much easier to repent and to take responsibility for turning away from sin.

I have seen this happen to so many people with the faith but not following through, get their lives shortened because they were living according to the flesh. Brother, this video was spot on….PERFECT!
We must walk with a clear conscience before God, obeying Him, according to the knowledge that we have. We also must be open to correction, as long as it aligns with the totality of scripture. This is the precedent that you see in the scriptures. The Lord called other men perfect, blameless, upright, etc. Here are two examples below:
“There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:5-6‬
Now how can Zacharias and Elizabeth walk blameless before the Lord, obeying Him in all the commandments, but professing Christians cannot obey God (according to the knowledge that they have) with the power of the Holy Spirit living in them?
Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations, Noah walked with God.
    Genesis 6:9
Why did God call Noah perfect, if you cannot be perfect? God called Noah perfect because at that current time he was obeying God in all things, according to the knowledge of God that he had.
That is just two examples and there are many others in scripture.
When we are out on the streets preaching the gospel, we are constantly hearing this unbiblical nonsense from professing Christians:
”No one is perfect!”, “You can’t be perfect!”, “Everyone sins!”, “Everyone sins every day!”, “You still sin!”, etc.
Even when I explain it to others, biblically reasoning with them from the scriptures, it still seems the majority will reject it and hang on to what they’ve been taught by their unbiblical churches, their unbiblical pastors or some unbiblical teacher.
May God open their eyes to the truth! This may be one of the messages that the Lord leads me to put together in my series: “Schemes of the Enemy.”
“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man PERFECT in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.”
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:27-29‬

Their car is perfect, their hair is perfect, their food is perfect, their "life" is perfect, but they can't believe a person can be perfect IN Christ. If someone says they don't live in sin, the sinners go straight to "oh you're Jesus then"?
They have no logic, because sin isn't logical...
Great video, as always brother. Perfect analogy about playing on a team. So many think "my time is my time, I give God a little time when I can."
So many spend the majority of their time with God, begging for forgiveness and saying "I'm sorry", instead of praising, worshipping and giving thanks as obedient children.
Why would you want to be in a criminal/Judge relationship with God, when you could have a Father/child relationship??
    It's just illogical.

in response to "So many spend the majority of their time with God, begging for forgiveness and saying "I'm sorry", instead of praising, worshipping and giving thanks as obedient children. " It's true that we should all be striving for obedience and God says to obey is BETTER than sacrifice. But I don't think it's wrong to beg God for forgiveness because those who are forgiven much love much. The sin is not caring and not repenting I think.
My children say sorry to me daily and I forgive them.
I think this video shares important points about how people shouldn't excuse living in sin, not care and continuing to sin, without making effort to change and really coming to God in repentance. But in that process of clarifying that truth, we who are trying to be obedient must be careful not to fall into this other trap as well, which is a sin that Jesus clarified below.
      Luke 18;9-14
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

@@everlybnb2409 not looking down on anyone. Only bringing light to the situation at hand. We are not talking about people who are truly sorrowful, in their repentance. My comment was about the people who claim it's okay to live in the same sins everyday. The verses you used are great and I agree with them all. I am not self righteous, I depend on Jesus everyday. He lifts me up and keeps me from falling.
People who live in sin and claim "to repent everyday " are actually just asking for forgiveness, without turning the other way. They are on the wide path, refusing to get on the narrow path, so we must shine The Light of Christ even brighter, if we are going to help them see The Good Path.
I hope this helps you understand my intentions.
I myself once lived in sin everyday, all while claiming to be a Christian. God called me out of that life and He delivered me from many sins. I live Holy now and long to help others find that Peace IN Christ as well.

@@stephanosjacobus7717 Gotchs! I understand what you meant. It’s hard to tell because I usually assume people are genuinely sorry and repenting but yes you can find hypocrisy and misusing it as license for sin and that totally is not ok. Sorry I misunderstood you. Thanks for clarifying. An improper teaching makes people feel safe with that. Even I used to have some misunderstanding as one time I ran a red light intentionally saying God you will forgive me sorry just because I wanted to run the red light. Not a habit and didn’t have that attitude towards other sins but the teaching warped my sense of how to behave in that moment. That teaching makes people not really see the danger of sinning and therefore do it more without fear. I imagine it could trip others up worse than it did to me then.

This is true. God reserves the right to determine and declare when someone has hardened their heart against Him. I sinned knowingly after coming to faith. But He chastened me and I trembled before Him and repented. I know I was in danger of being given over. Therefore:
"If you hear His voice today, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion. Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of egypt? And with whom was He angry for 40 years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? And to whom did God swear that they would never enter His rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief." ( Hebrews 3:14-19.) But "We have come to share in christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end." (Hebrews 3:13.) Justification is faith from end to end. If you truly believe what your say you do, it will necessarily result in a changed life. And if you are grafted into the vine that is Jesus Christ, you will necessarily bear the fruits of His Spirit (John 15.) We must crucify the flesh and its corrupt passions that war against the Spirit. This is the strongest language possible. Don't compromise with your sin; don't make half hearted attempts to do better. Kill it.

    Amen brother!
As usual a very clear truthful representation of God's word in the N.T.
I believe that the lukewarmness of most professing Christians comes from the pulpit.
The blind are leading the blind.
I've thought about that too, about the word "perfect" because that is what is usually said....."no one is perfect". They should do a study on that word according to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the new covenant to find out the truth of what the Lord means.
It reminds me of Paul getting upset with those ones who were still as babes on the milk when they should have been grown and on the meat, they were still carnal. (1 Corinthians 3)
What does it mean (to the Lord) to be perfect? Not what man thinks it means.
The Lord Jesus says what he means and he means what he says!
Being perfect according to God's ways can only be done by walking in the Spirit.
And that is to be done DAILY.
There is so much scripture in the N.T. about being PERFECT, about being spiritual and not carnal, about growing.
We are to GROW in grace and knowledge. (2 Peter 3:17-18)
    1 John 3:8
    King James Version
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
    ..................
    Matthew 5:44-48
    King James Version
    44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
    .................
    Luke 6:39-46
    King James Version
39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
(Good treasure of a good man comes from his HEART.)
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
    ...............
    Colossians 3:14
    King James Version
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

I'll never understand those who obey Hebrews 10:25 but have no truthful idea as to WHY.
I know they are being brainwashed by the pastors and the people constantly repeating it but why in the world don't they read further????
I was talking to a wife of a so called pastor (branch of Lutheranism) I asked her about Hebrews 10:25, she just thought it meant to encourage one another in life's hard times.
I asked her to keep reading the warnings that are given.
Sadly as usual I was met with a blank stare and that was the end of that conversation.
In her defence, maybe I didn't explain it properly but we had our Bibles so it would have only taken a minute or two to read the context.
    Hebrews 10:25-31
    King James Version
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Well that is different then willful sin.
“For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.”
      ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
If we don’t know then we don’t know. But I will say most sins people call accidents are not accidents. For example you don’t “accidentally” go on your computer and look up porn or something like that. But if for example you told a lie and didn’t realize it but later you realized it wasn’t accurate then just confess it to God and move on or if necessary make it right if you hurt or offended anyone. But that’s why we should be very careful with our words as we will we be judged by them. Hope this helps.

Is it fair to say that when you are accused of wrong (given knowledge from the perspective of another person), the right response is either to repent or work to bring out the truth?
Is it ever wrong to pursue bringing the truth to light, especially when you know the accusations are false?
    My questions come from experience:
I was accused of being manipulative, abusive, and greedy (and more).
I had only done what doctors told me (and I was sure was right) that had to be done for my parents. I was also told that I was evil for reading The Passion Translation, but it’s worded differently and has helped me understand better, as I compare versions.
I considered the source, and I’m not angry, but I want the truth known. I helped my parents, figuring all would eventually be settled fairly according to their documents and if I set an example, others in the family would help also. The “source” has caused division in the family, unless it’s me because I didn’t defer to the one’s expectations and desires.
Doing what I believed to be right has been costly in several ways.
I’m interested in hearing other opinions.
Anyway, I think verse 10 goes with verses 20-21, but what is meant by weakness?
“So I’m not defeated by my weakness, but delighted! For when I feel my weakness and endure mistreatment-when I’m surrounded with troubles on every side and face persecution because of my love for Christ-I am made yet stronger. For my weakness becomes a portal to God’s power.
Now I’m afraid that when I come to you I may find you different than I desire you to be, and you may find me different than you would like me to be. I don’t want to find you in disunity, with jealousy and angry outbursts, with selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance, and turmoil.
(Discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder in NIV; quarreling and rivalry specifically stated in BSB)
I’m actually afraid that on my next visit my God will humble me in front of you as I shed tears over those who keep sinning without repenting of their impurity, sexual immorality, and perversion.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭10‬, ‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭TPT‬‬
    bible.com/bible/1849/2co.12.10-21.TPT
“Surely you must know that people who practice evil cannot possess God’s kingdom realm. Stop being deceived!
People who continue to engage in
sexual immorality, idolatry, adultery, sexual perversion, homosexuality, fraud, greed, drunkenness, verbal abuse, or extortion-
these will not inherit God’s kingdom realm.”
    ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬
    bible.com/bible/1849/1co.6.9-10.TPT
If a person has quit doing the lists given, to the best of their knowledge, does that mean they have quit sinning?
In John 14:21, TPT has a footnote stating, “the verb translated as ‘reveal’ is used in John’s gospel only here and in the following verse. As in the Septuagint of Exodus
33:13, it is used of a special divine manifestation…. it means ‘I will personally come to him’”.
Does that mean that all true believers will see Jesus, physically in person, while still living here on earth, and if a person never sees Jesus while still living, they aren’t a true believer?
Jesus did tell Thomas that those who haven’t seen him, yet still believe are blessed, John 20:29.
    Enough questions for now…

“But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.””

Love it. Keep reading your bible 'abide in the word' and preaching it. I don't know if your more like Bonhoeffer preaching against Cheap Grace or Stendahl preaching against the Western Introspective Conscience. Hi, thanks for this video. Question, and forgive me if I understood incorrectly. but it seemed to me you mentioned forgiveness for trying to follow God but not having full knowledge (knowledge that it is a sin or knowledge of how to be skilled at avoiding sin?) as an option versus saying you follow God and doing sins without caring. But what about messing up involuntarily but not wanting to and yet having full knowledge it is a sin? In Romans it sounds like it might be saying (but not sure) in these instances if our heart doesn't agree with it, it's a little different, but not sure about that fully. It also says if your brother sins and repents to forgive him and that if we confess our sins to one another we will be healed and He is faithful and just to forgive us from all sins and cleanse us from unrighteousness. Or what about sinning with knowledge and repenting like king David? I believe as long as we repent (not just say sorry but repent) and confess, there is forgiveness. Jesus mentioned that at times a brother may repent, and then repeat the sin, repent and repeat and to forgive them so if we're commanded to do so I imagine He does so for me. Luke 17:4 I did a repeat today, shocking myself that I did this. There's a person who has been crossing boundaries and causing betrayals of trust and after much much discussion to clarify boundaries still continues to do so knowingly and then when confronted act like it's not happening and it's ok and I am wrong to think it's wrong. This person is my husband and this makes it hurt so much worse. This really has pushed me over the limit, and caused me to at times in my life say a curse word whereas I never cursed before knowing him. I have been a lifelong Christian and was quite the goody two shoes growing up and never used curse words. But this person's behavior has pushed me to depths I've never fell to before. So anyway, twice this month, I said a real bad word in reaction to something hurtful. (I haven't done this in a long while.) Both times immediately I was horrified and said sorry, within seconds. But that's something I did with knowledge that it is wrong, although not fully aware I was doing it as it happened, I was aware enough even though only partially, and anyway I'm just curious your take on it. Because if doing that means there's no sacrifice for sins for me anymore, that's really depressing. But Jesus said in the LORD's prayer to ask for our daily bread and to ask for forgiveness of sins, as we forgive those who sin against us (which I am doing, hard as it is). I believe the Bible says I can repent and be forgiven. I hate when that happens and try to avoid interactions that can stumble me like that, but it's hard when it's your spouse. How would you categorize this and did you include this type of thing in your video?

    • @stephanosjacobus7717
      @stephanosjacobus7717 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

I'd offer this to you. You are saying you are sorry and you are saying you are going to turn back to not using that language. You say you avoid those situations also. Stay in prayer, asking God for strength and for Him to guid you and you are forgiven, by God, for sure.
The "everyday sinning" that is being preached against, is people who do the same sins everyday and they are not even trying to stop, or stopping that sin. In fact, they plan to continue it everyday, just saying "I'm sorry God, forgive me as usual"
I hope you see this difference and understand why God would forgive a sincere repentant person and not forgive the ones asking for a licence to sin.
I'll pray that God looks over your situation too.
I know how angry people we Love, or live with can make us, but we are called to be Holy.
I hope this helps you to continue to live Holy.
Not sure if a "goody two shoes" is a bad, or good thing, but if people are calling you names, for Obeying and Believing in God, then you are doing something right, for sure!!!
Keep it up, sister. God will give you strength and patience and help your husband's eyes open, to how he's being towards you .

You have to understand that Jesus said whatever proceeds from the mouth actually came from your HEART. So if there is any obscenities coming out of your mouth, you have to understand it’s because your heart wasn’t right with God. That’s what Jesus says, not me -
“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15:18-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Jesus says these thing DEFILE you, again, not me. So when we cuss, it’s because something wasn’t right on the inside before it actually came out of your mouth. The words coming out of the mouth are simply a sign that something isn’t right.
Paul says if we walk by the Spirit we will NOT gratify the desires of the flesh. I believe that. Paul also says to give NO place for the flesh - not even once.
“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”

@@abideintheWord thanks. I agree with you 100 percent. I think it’s at the point where turning the other cheek gives some power over the disappointment or just basically accepting that I will be wronged and suffer loss and letting that loss of limb in my heart exist (the limb being others kindness to me and refusal to not do destructive things). Like the why not rather be wronged verse. And shake the dust off my feet. Expect betrayal opposition and cruelty. When it happens let that limb be severed from me. Suffer that loss. Still confront a sinning brother but also If wanting to be loved and treated fairly caused me to act poorly when wronged then cut off that hand and accept being unfairly treated and robbed of my rights. If someone steals a valuable relationship from me or my efforts or sleep or whatever, let them steal some more. The shirt coat example. Why lose heaven over it. Turn on Bible verses and clean. There is a death and I cannot revive a dead heart towards me so being angry does nothing but damage me and my eternity. Move on w heart set on heaven and try to do what I can to make peace and be productive.
Can you answer the other question? I believe God forgives our sin if we repent and that my doing what I did doesn’t mean crucifying Jesus over again. What category is uh oh oops sins and yes of course they come from the heart. I believe Jesus forgives us if we repent and confess as the Bible says. Because I am sure my best intentions to never feel angry when harmed will not go 100 percent as I see would be the ideal above. I believe in fact I know Jesus forgives and cleanses me even if I slip again, but will I make room for it or not try to work against it because of that? No.

Jesus said "sin no more" okay, but it does not necessarily mean that this woman had not sinned at all. This is an order, of course, we should live holy, but a total perfection has only God, doesn't He? We cannot take some verses literally without understanding the whole message from the Bible concerning holiness. Therefore I think this is rather your interpretation, but it's worth to check if this is right. For example, Catholics think they should eat eucharist, because Jesus said "this is my body". They understand literally, but this is of course ridiculous, because it should be considered as a spiritual food. Anyway, remember that we have also many passages that suggest something different. Please watch this: Matt 7:11, Luke 18:19, Prov 20:9, Eccl 7:20, but there is much more.

Of course it’s to justify their sin. They try to say that homosexuality was just talking about men doing things with little boys, but in the context and even the larger context of the Bible, no it’s obviously a sin.
“For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”

I understand that Romans 6 says the body of sin is dead in Christ. Romans 7, on the other hand, describes an experience that everyone has experienced at some time in life, and probably everyone has experienced it at some point after faith in Christ. It seems to me that Paul is describing a real deliverance from Romans 7 by 1) putting to death the deeds of the flesh by the Spirit, 2) being minded according to the Spirit and walking according to the Spirit, 3) being dead to, and freed from, the law, which says "do this and don't do this...", and other elements elsewhere in scripture would come into play too, but these are the main ones in Romans.
    Did I miss any?
How would you describe these things or teach someone to live out the truth of them?
If deliverance from sin comes from the grace of God, how does one receive that or go on receiving that?
Isn't part of the message of Romans 7, that willing is not enough for deliverance, because one needs something from the Spirit, as well as some kind of freedom from the law which tends to "arouse sinful passions"?
If God works in us to will, then I see that we would feel the will within us to do what is right, but there would be some distinction between that type of willing and the type of willing in Romans 7, right?
If willing and thinking(delighting in the law of God) does not bring about the deliverance spoken of in Romans 8, then what exactly fuels deliverance in a person's life?
Have you heard of Keswick theology? They believed in a victorious life, not through willing it into existence, but through faith and reliance on the Spirit. They believed in sanctification through faith, and i don't think they believed in progressive sanctification. I'm curious about your thoughts on it.

You are misunderstanding the 1 John verse. Try reading the entire book of 1 John and you will see that whoever sins is of the devil. So if you sin then you need to admit you are of the devil and humble yourself. Of course we CAN sin - we still have free will. What I’m saying is that we can be freed from sin as the Bible says.

I have a concern about this, in Matthew Chapter 5 Jesus introduces the concept of evil emotions and urges that are not voluntary yet are sins to have.
    21 'Ye heard that it was said to the ancients: Thou shalt not kill, and whoever may kill shall be in danger of the judgment;
22 but I say to you, that every one who is angry at his brother without cause, shall be in danger of the judgment, and whoever may say to his brother, Empty fellow! shall be in danger of the sanhedrim, and whoever may say, Rebel! shall be in danger of the gehenna of the fire.
    27 'Ye heard that it was said to the ancients: Thou shalt not commit adultery;
28 but I say to you, that every one who is looking on a woman to desire her, did already commit adultery with her in his heart. (Young Literal Translation)
Sinful emotions and urges are imposed on the individual by biology/nature and literal demons. Humans are forced to sin against their will daily. I will include a presonal note so my intentions are not misunderstood, I am desperate to overcome sinful emotions and urges, I ceased all pornography and masturbation yet I still lust, anxiety is driving me nuts since courage is required for good works and a strong faith, I chose to forgive my enemies yet I feel bitterness still. I can reject sinful toughts (ocasionally sinful toughts are relentless), but sinful urges and emotions remain, it is out of my hands.
Is there a permanent solution to this dilemma?
Can a more experienced christian tell me if the Holy Spirit has truly santified them in such a way that said wicked emotions and urges never resurface?

    • @abideintheWord

Ah the old “blame the devil and your flesh” trick. Sorry, but when you stand before Jesus you will not be able to tell Him “the devil made me do it”. Sorry. You are in for a very sore surprise.
The solution is simple - you need to be made free from your sin as Jesus said -
“Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭8:34-36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
How do we do this? Well we repent, and we abide in His word -
“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.””
      ‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

19 For I do not the good thing, which I would,
but the evil, which I would not, that do I.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but the sin that dwelleth in me.
Paul admits that he was a sinner and that his sinful nature overwhlemed him. Paul blames sin, not himself. Is there evidence that any of the apostles, or any christian reached the ideal of santification that sinless perfectionism demands and becoming sinless?
A permanent santification and transformation of the flesh is required so that temptation is ineffective and no triggering said sinful emotions and desires occur. I merely asked how to achieve said state and if it has been done before so I can do it myself.

Jesus taught that obedience is required to enter his kingdom:
    Matthew 5:30
"And if your right hand causes you to stumble, (sin) cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Hypocrites and lukewarm Christians claim a belief in Jesus, but they don't follow him.
Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." The majority of his followers contradict him.
Some even mock at the command that he gave us to live by.
Jesus did not make mistakes in the language he used, yet countless Christians feel that it is their duty to speak for him and to correct him. Many even say that he didn't mean that, or he meant to say something else. They will even use his own bible scriptures against him to try and prove him wrong.
It takes a lot of arrogance to challenge his authority, and those who do will be counted among his enemies. Those who reject his word reject him.
When Jesus said "Go and sin no more" it was a command, not a suggestion. False Christians contradict Jesus. They say that sinning, even daily, is a normal part of Christian life, and it is even expected of us all. They know nothing about the work of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness, and if they are told, they deny it.
    2 Timothy 4;3-4 warns us:
"For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."
The Book Of Hebrews agrees with the teachings of Jesus that obedience is required and sin leads to Hell.
"Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"

Exactly! Aren’t we supposed to be a NEW CREATION?!
I have heard prominent and popular Bible teachers and pastors say that Jesus said things like that to simply make people realize that they CAN’T obey God and therefore they need Him - as in they can’t obey God so they need the imputed righteousness of Jesus to simply cover over all their wickedness and then God doesn’t see their sin anymore. All you have to do is look at Revelation chapters 2 and 3 when Jesus spoke to the churches and you see very clearly that Jesus most certainly saw their sin, He said I see your WORKS over and over again. He told them to REPENT or He would come at them with a sword! He threatened to VOMIT them out of His mouth! He threatened to take their lamp stand! The message was the same as His earthly ministry - repent or perish! This certainly isn’t the message being preached today. God bless you!

    • @abideintheWord

He even said to one of the churches that He did not find their WORKS complete (or perfect) in His sight! Jesus sure places a strong emphasis on works - as opposed to the false today that says they do nothing for our salvation whatsoever and are completely unnecessary but will “follow” faith.

But weren't the Corinthians sinning wilfully? Surely they were aware that at least some of what they were doing was wholly wrong. If not they must have had some pretty poor teaching. Now I'm not saying that had they continued to sin wilfully after Paul had confronted them it would have been ok, but that they were given time to grow in learning and obedience. They weren't expected to be perfect immediately on conversion. This growth can vary in time from person to person depending on their background. I have seen people from hard alcohol and abuse fuelled lives turn from this and become Christ filled worshippers, but it has taken time, change wasn't immediate. I have also seem some reprimanded for using their past lives as an excuse, and they have repented of this too. I
I agree that for a mature believer wilful sin is worse, much worse and if continued will result in judgement. But I also believe even these can be forgiven if they sin but repent on their faces as David did.
To those who think repentance is just apologising to God, NO! Repentance is much much more. It is doing a complete about turn. Turning your back on the sun and walking in the opposite direction.

I will watch. I am not wholly disagreeing with you, in fact I mostly agree. I do NOT accept OSAS! This teaching is so easily a licence to sin. I just think at times you are a little harsh. And seem to give no possibility for forgiveness for an error done in knowledge but which is wholly regretted and repented of. Again, like David. Murder and adultery weren't his only sins done in full knowledge they were wrong. But he was forgiven because his heart was still, despite his errors, for God.

He was forgiven only because he REPENTED. And it’s interesting you think I’m being too harsh. Was Revelation being too harsh when it said this -

      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
      ‭‭John‬ ‭8:34-36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.”

Was Paul and Jesus being too harsh here?? Should they have been “softer” on sin? Why didn’t they say oh but don’t worry it’s ok if you aren’t doing it too much? I just preach what they they preach, but yet you say I’m being too harsh?
