I can't understand why riders get paid more to ride SX than MX? I like watching MX way more than SX. The speeds are higher, the tracks makes for better racing and the fans are better. GO BLUE GRU!
Totally agree, but SX brings in more money because lazy ass people don’t have to walk or stand, they can sit and chow down. Motocross is way better to watch.
More media (TV,...) exposure brings more sponsorship and as a result, more money for the riders involved and it is easier to have that in a stadium that is flooded with billboards and publicity. And like Don Davis mentioned the "lazy ass" demographic 😆 is there and companies want to reach this target who will never attend a true Motocross race...and I totally agree with the points you mentioned regarding Motocross vs supercross.

Max Anstie has it backwards. He said you can gap people on the USA tracks. But I was watching the lap times and the top 12 were on the same second for lap times. They are all pretty much the same speed, because they all have the tracks wired. You are now more lucky to win a race than you are doing it by really being faster, (won't do it for 4 moto's in a row). The lap times are as close as flat track.
