Mel is hardly a "pacifist." She's the one who argues that Piltover needs to develop weapons, much to the consternation of Viktor and (initially, at least) Jayce. She just believes that war should be the final recourse after other solutions are exhausted. She's cautious and pragmatic.
He just wanna do the right thing but he dont know how to do it, so he is trying, he do diferents things like his experiments, but sociopolitic media dont work in that way. And all his mistakes will build the destruction of his dream, his City, his people, again he just wanna to help.
I think Jayce is one of the best characters in Arcane, and one of the most relatable ones at that. He's one of the best intentioned and altruistic characters by far, but he's also a man who is now put into a setting he has barely any experience in, now being thrust with dozens of different massive responsibilities and different viewpoints clashing. His scope of the world is still limited and even though he's trying his best it feels like every choice he makes ends up hurting people. Which fuels his indecisiveness. I kind of get why people dislike him for that, since he struggles to commit to his choices, but I really do think almost anyone else would struggle just as much or more to make the right choices in his position. I think Jayce in The Monster You Created is his most fully realized self. He is still a good and well intentioned person. He is wise enough to now understand the humanity and complexity of Zaun, and is willing to give them independence. He is now more politically savvy/competent while never becoming any more corrupt than he needed to survive in the game. Before Jinx's attack he was so close to solving all of the large scale problems. Sadly I think like most of the S1 finale, Jayce here will reflect a sort of "what could have been", as the attack will likely bring him to commit to war and eventually have a falling out with Viktor. I think he'll be like Canute from Vinland Saga, not evil and still mostly well intentioned, but far more corrupt and jaded, willing to do awful things for his sense of justice.
Jayce is a hammer. He comes down hard and then withdraws before coming down again.
the thumbnail looks so goood!!
In season 2 he´s gonna be Ambessa´s puppet...I can see it
You will see how you are wrong)
@ Hope so!
