TTArtisans has been getting better all the time. But when I wanted a 56mm, aNd couldn’t justify the price of the Fujifilm lens, I bought the Sigma. I am very happy with it. Unfortunately, it too has no aperture ring. But when I mount it on my Xpro3 or my xt5, the rear command dial on my cameras becomes the aperture selector.
Hey Booray, if it us for $160 i think it's worth it. Apart from the Purple Frindging the image quality Was good, and i really liked the Black and White picture of the House shot at F/11, it was very clear. Thanks for showing us this new lens, much appreciated. 😊📸
Amazon has it listed for $168. And out of stock. I have a couple TTArtisan lens, the 27mm F2.8 and 35mm F1.8, both auto-focus. I am just a hobbyist and they work fine for me.
I didn't test it. I honestly don't pay much attention to corner sharpness wide open because if I'm wide open it's a good bet that the corners aren't on the same focal plane anyway.
Good question. I don't have a filter I can use to test it but I would certainly hope so. It would seem silly to not be able to but then I have X100V lens hoods that don't work if there is a filter....
I purchased this lens a few days ago. Very good quality for the price.
Bought this lens a few weeks back, and wow, the sharpness is spot-on! It’s been my go-to for portrait shots.

I wish ttartisan make that square hood 49mm for X100 with affordable price, it will sell like hot cakes 😂
Hi Booray, it would be interesting tosee this lens versus the Viltrox 56mm f1.7, I believe they will be at similar price point.
Hi Booray, the TTArtisan 27mm F2.8 AF lens has an aperture ring and I think is a lovely little lens on my X-E1/

35mm 1.8 is good sir?
What is your front dial usually set to?
In manual mode it is set to shutter speed
What's the corner sharpness like wide open?

Can You use a screw on filter with that cap?
