I follow your content on yt and you are absolutely the best AMV maker... Transitions are perfect, not too much effects where I can't see anything, smoothness is so satisfying, scene choices,
synchronization with music and all other aspects are just perfect. One thing does't make sense though, you only have 9,370 subs and the most viewed video is around 2 000 000 views at the time of writing this comment which is very low for such a quality. I've seen a lot of AMVs that have more than 10,20 or even 50m views but quality is not even close to yours. This is just my theory, but maybe the reason is song choice... All those high views AMVs use popular songs. Your most viewed videos are the ones with most popular songs, like Cake By The Ocean, Let's Get It Started and Runaway Baby. Maybe if you create AMVs using popular songs, they will get more views. I'm not saying your music choice is bad, song are good, but not so famous and people will not event click on video if they don't recognize or don't like the song. With your talent and right song choice, I thinks you can become absolutely the best AMV creator on YT, so good that your channel will be like a brand name for high quality AMVs. All the best!

As for the subject of views, subs, etc:
For me, I did realize pretty early on that the popular pop songs that brought some sort of nostalgia definitely raked in more views. The reason why I don't pump out only those types of songs all the time is because the views weren't something I particularly focused on. If I just so happen to really want to make an AMV with that type of song I would for sure, but it just depends on what I think I can do at that given time. I'd be lying if I said I didn't care about views, but for me, making these cool videos for those that enjoy them and becoming a better editor overall has always been my number one goal. So with that being said, my decisions of what videos I make and songs I use ultimately come to what I want to personally do and think will help me become a better creator. The algorithm is such a black box, so instead I choose to do what I love instead of trying to cater catching as many views as I can. I feel that is why I put so much passion into the videos, because I genuinely enjoy everything I do and love seeing what I can do next, and I personally don't want to lose that.
I'm really really glad for your advice, and I do want to see this channel become bigger as well, but ultimately things that I put on my channel are things that I want to do, and that won't change. I'm just glad people enjoy me for just being me, and always so happy and grateful for that!

Bro, Wtf kinda super sayain transition was 1:30. Litterally the cleanest transition I have litterally ever seen. (I have seen way over 2k amv, that transition is top tier). That one edit alone is what my sub is going for. Your insane. keep up the work!

Actually before I even started this song I set up that particular transition (just the one punch man part) because I knew I wanted to slow down the pace, then once I got to that part I got the idea to end it with that! I'm so glad you liked that transition because it was one I really wanted to highlight as well!
@@monomogu not really even criticism since i literally had to go frame by frame to see this. but why didn't you mirror the one punch man clip (or the naruto one, just not both)? if you did then the directions that the two characters are running in would then line up. Like it is still one of the most satisfying edits I have seen. just curious
@@infinite-seeker3016 its a good question no worries. I actually looked at all combinations of mirroring each clip for that transition. So first off the one punch man clip i decided not to mirror because of the positioning of the fate clip before it. If I flipped the opm clip, positioning would be a tad off from fate -> opm. For the naruto/sasuke clip, I definitely could have done flipped that one, and it might've been better. I remember it looked odd flipped but that could just be because I've seen the clip a lot. I really appreciate you looking into the attention of detail, because I really do look at a lot of the little things for these edits.
@@monomoguhuh, your right. The fate clip to the opm clip was so smooth that even in my analysis, it was so smooth I didn’t even register it as a possible reason. If you wanted to make them all align like that you might’ve had to mirror the Mushoku clip (this one would be for flow sake), fate, and opm clip if the Naruto one looked weird mirrored. Even then one of those could totally be thrown off by the mirror

I’ve always wanted to know, how do you and other AMV editors find clips that fit the songs and beats so well?
It just comes to scene selection. For me, I use the lyrics to guide me to what clips would be best, others do other things. Also not being afraid to put one scene down but if I get a better idea later down the line for some parts I go back and change it.
As for knowing where those scenes are, well, that comes down to watching a lot and quick notes I take lol

Good question! Sota has been one of my inspirations making these, considering we both like to have wordplay in our videos, some clips do line up now that I checked. I try my best to really put in my own style, so hopefully that showed through !

It's great editing, BUT it can cause epilepsy! Try to do a sequence a little longer!
I've actually had some worries about this, is there some resources where I could learn more to prevent this? I try my best to make sequences long enough but sometimes I can't, would dimming the brightness or ghosting techniques work like how anime does it in their own shows?
@@monomogu I can advice a channel Tumpy GFX. He is editor of amv too. His editing isn't as complicated as yours, but his mashups are nice.
