      Yes thank you so much I appreciate this as well my wife and I really needed some guidance on this 5-speed swap, and like you I assumed it would be a pretty straightforward swap but it's definitely intensive but I feel like it's doable long as we follow along with you

    I swapped mine back in June of 2013. The hardest part for me was the trans mount, had to weld in x3 1/4 in steel plates then drilled the mounting holes, been driving it ever since.

    I was wondering about this too, my 93 accord has been a little jerky with its auto transmission. I've heard they can last a long time even like that but if it ever goes out I think I'll follow in your steps here

    One very important point to add to this excellent tutorial. I just did the manual swap in my cb7. Stayed with f22a1 engine. Motor mount on transmission side won't work. Lines up closer to radiator. You'll have to buy innovative motor conversion mount(120$) or relocated bracket.

I have a 1991 Cb7 Lx Automatic and I also have a manual that I'm using for parts, I seen you do a weird connection when you grab a spare connector from an Auto cb7 and looped it and solder it together and plugged it into your car. I was wondering if you was willing to do the connection and I'm willing to pay you for the part your time and shipping. out here in New England we don't have any cb7 at the scrap yard.. if you can't I understand.

    I'm about to start doing the swap for my new wagon. It's a 94 (CE1) tho but I'm pretty sure the process is similar to the CB9.
    I'm only worried about mounting the clutch pedal as there's not a bracket up top 😅😅

    • @randomrebuilds
      @randomrebuilds ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should be mounting studs up there. Make sure you grab all the bolts and the pedal while at the yard.

    • @blacksongoku312
      @blacksongoku312 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@randomrebuilds Thanks for the tip! For the case of the 94-97s, they sadly only have a cutout in the floor vinyl where it would be on a manual example. The master cylinder however has perforations to drill out with a hole maker.
      I might simulate the upper mounting bracket by putting a large bolt & spacers (there's an area under the wiper motor). I have everything for the swap otherwise

    • @randomrebuilds
      @randomrebuilds ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@blacksongoku312 Oh wow that stinks. I guess the BB6 prelude is the same way from the conversion videos I've seen where holes have to be drilled on that car - that really stinks. I guess Honda used (2) different firewalls which cost them more $ for development rather than leaving (3) threaded studs into place.

    • @randomrebuilds

    • @jordanbuck4206
      @jordanbuck4206 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The rear vacuum line to the mount can be capped/looped and the solenoid for it can be disconnected and won’t cause any dash lights to pop up. I swapped my cb9 almost a year ago and it’s still running strong. No issues
