Its true! my mother has been dead for almost 30 years and the grief is still there like she just died yesterday. There is nothing you can say or do to relieve the heartache one goes through when you lose the one you love so much in your life. Life goes one, but there is an emptiness that can't be ever filled again. No words can heal the pain.

The heart wants what the heart wants and Lisa wanted to be with her son. Lisa made that statement known. She told the press that she spoke with Ben's spirit after he passed, and told Ben she had to take care of his little sisters, which was what he had wanted. I know she loved her girls and family, but her heart wanted to be with Ben. God bless them both, and rest in peace.

    • @ellenw391
      @ellenw391 ปีที่แล้ว +1

While this is true, what broke my heart is that Lisa seemed on the cusp of moving fowards and might have finally found her true purpose in life. Did you hear what the grief counselor she took to Graceland for Elvis' birthday celeb said? Kessler is his name if you want to look it up. First he helped her when Ben died, and then Lisa studied to be a grief counselor. She was working with bereaved parents (she said many had no clue who she was, just a Mom who lost her son). She opened her home to group meetings. Even on the Graceland trip, one of her must do's was to sit with and have a long talk with a Mom who just lost a child! And he said they planned to do a Podcast together on the topic to reach more people. Here's the most heartbreaking part....
After everyone left, they went out by the graves. Lisa pointed out to him where Ben was buried, and where she would be when she died. He said something like "not for a long time." And she said "Nope, I have a lot of work left to do." This was the week she died!!! So SO sad. Ben would ALWAYS have been with her and she would always have mourned him. But it sounds like she got herself to a spot where she not only could help others, but for a woman who spent her life looking for her purpose, beyond the name she was born to, she seemed to be on the cusp of that 😭😭😭😭

Wynonna is so right on what she said, I've experienced several losses in the past years that have broken my heart so bad that my heart needs a dust pan. I lost my half brother in November 2008 on Thanksgiving day! I lost my sister in February 2015, I lost my step dad in January 2016, I lost my dad in March 2016, and then I lost my beautiful mama in March 2018. I heard Lisa Marie Presley say that she and her family have had their fair share of grief, I totally agree that they really have. I know that even though I haven't lost a child, I have lost my entire family, I have a broken heart, and I'm in bad health right now. I could if I wanted to, take my own life so that I could be with my family again, but my husband reminded me the other day that it takes an awfully strong person with a strong will to live, to go through what I've been through and still battle with my own health problems. May God bless Lisa Marie's family to find the peace and strength that they need right now.

The reality is that we all pay a price for opening up our heart and loving the people in our lives…..That price is called grief and we feel that grief immensely when we lose those we love. It’s something I have thought a lot about as of late because I have lost so many people I love and adore over the past year and at times I feel as if the grief is suffocating.
Just since March 2022 I lost an Aunt, A Uncle, My childhood best friend and a very special lady who was like a second Mother to me my entire 45 years on this Earth. I have to remind myself that while the pain of losing a loved one weighs heavy on my heart, It is a gift and a blessing to have had the privilege of loving them and being loved by them in return.
It’s important to remember that none of us are promised a tomorrow….Ourselves or those we love can be gone in a blink of an eye. Don’t let the daily grind of life distract you from showing kindness to others….Don’t be distracted from telling the people you love just how much you love them. Don’t leave the important things unsaid because you don’t want to have to worry if someone in your life knew how much you loved them after they are gone.
My heart aches for the many people who love Lisa Marie….Especially her dear Mother and her three precious daughters. 🙏🏼 ❤️

We could ALL see that Lisa Marie was having issues that required medical attention while she was attending the Golden Globe Awards.
    Etc...
    Fact.
Not one person could lift a finger to dial 911.
    Not one person.
    Why ???
Because the party was too important ???
They had 48 hours from that night to get Lisa Marie the medical help she needed.
Her stomach was hurting earlier that day and she was off balance, slurring her words, and could not go up stairs...
She could have had COVID19 and not ONE person could dial 911 for that poor lady.
    I'm so upset.
If someone could have been kind and humble enough to dial 911 and get Lisa Marie the help she so desperately needed she'd probably still be here.
Everyone failed Lisa Marie and I'm not afraid to state my opinion.
I'm not, because it's the TRUTH.
    Things need to change.
People need to start having compassion.
And who gives a dayamm about some televised party...
    I don't.
Im more concerned about people's lives🙏❤

She right. When a childhood friend of mine died in a car accident back in 1999, I was grieving myself and it took time to be able to move foreword with it. But I also couldn’t get myself to call his family members, his mother and sister especially. So I avoided doing that for several years. And it was largely due to feeling uncomfortable and the fear of unintentionally saying something wrong. It is best to allow all parties involved, the time needed to grieve, especially for Pricilla and Lisa Marie’s children. That family has a close circle of those around them who will offer to do things for them like take care of their homes while they grieve.

I'm sick of those pat answers like Wynonna talked about. My husband just abandoned me after 42 years of marriage. I am almost 70 years old and disabled. I hear "you're better off" "time heals all wounds" etc etc. I could go on and on. Sometimes just sitting quietly beside a friend who has lost everything and does not know why is most comforting. Just being there. Fix a meal. My loss is no way in comparison to losing a child through death. My best friend lost her son and there is no recovery for that. God bless this precious lady. She spoke truth.

I read that naomi judd was once a nurse to elvis presley in memphis when he was at the hospital. I dont know if that was true or not. I know shw was a registered nurse in the area and did marry elvis backup singer larry strickland.

Wy was already born when Naomi became a nurse. I think Ashley was too bc Wy looked after her when Naomi went to work. I don't know where you people get your information. Meeting Larry had nothing to do with Elvis..

People mean well when they say these things as Winona mentioned, In better place, they are with God, they are at peace now… WORST things to say but HEAR!! PLEASE, any of you that read this, the phrases that should be said are:
    Deep Condolences
    My heart hurts for you
I’m so sorry to hear this
I’m so sorry that this happened
I’m here when you need an ear/shoulder/hug
When your up to it, lunch/dinner is on me
Those are the helpful phrases the grieving need💔

Death of a loved one is heartbreaking. I always want to believe when people say they are now with their loved ones. But the sad thing is we don’t know. Chances are there’s nothing after we die which makes it even harder

I'm so sorry Wynonna losing your mom, ALL the many years making singing wondering music🎶 together then all this to be taken away is devistated. Your heart is so broken 💔 our moms hold our family tree, our moms hold our family like glue then to be taken away. Im sure your mom felt so much pain in her health she wasn't going to feel better. Just the sad🥺 the train of thought 🤔 what she would do to her family leave them behind hurting 😩 so heart broken 💔
This grieving process sucks for all to heal on your time. God will give you the strength 💪 to keep on going keep on singing w your beautiful natural voice. Love 💕

I guess it’s important to let them know how much they mean to you when they are alive… you really don’t want to wait till they’re gone… we end up carrying them within us, what can be hard is somedays I don’t remember them and others can’t get them out of my mind…

Expressing that one is in a better place reminds us of what E.V. Hill said, "this ain't it".
So true. Heaven is "it" and it is a better place to be than here on earth.

every situation is different . in my case my mother was old and lived a wonderful life . she did not linger sick or in a nursing home , she was ready to meet GOD and told me that many times . she had everything in place perfectly including her final arrangements totally paid for . she always said not to spend the money she was leaving us on a coffin but wanted my sister and I to go on a nice vacation and think of her ... we did !
Dad left when I was 14 so I only saw him on an average of once a year for the next 40 years although we talked on the phone every Sunday . He did not linger either and played golf up until a week before his death which ironically was a few weeks after my mom's passing . although they still loved each other till the end they couldn't be in the same room together and had divorced in 1969 . They died in 2010 and I felt very fortunate to have had them into my late 50's ! incidentally , I berried their ashes together ;-) I had amazing generous parents who loved both my sister and I up until their last breath and gave us everything . My wonderful sister and I split it perfectly evenly right down the middle 50/50 , took 1 hour and that was it . her and I often talk about how luck we were/are to have had parents like ours . my wife and I are trying to repeat this for our two sons ..... THE END

Great answer from a Legen her self that is why I love Wynonna she is so down to earth. She said it best know one can understand the pain a mother has of loosing her child, nor does anyone know the pain you are going through loosing your loved one. I am with her I cant stand when people say they are in a better place, or my prayers are with you really are you really praying for me every day truth is you may not have prayed for me at all you just dont know what to say. For me I just say if you need anything at all just even a shoulder to cry on Iam here and that I truly mean. When I lost my parents in a horrific car accident I would have people say Iam so sorry I know how you feel, really how is that you still have your parents how do you know what Iam going through. Or it will get better in time, or the best they are in a better place a better place that better place would have been right here with me. Or even better Iam sure they didnt suffer again how do you know that you dont know the terrior they knew they was getting ready to face. I will say this if it wasnt for my faith I can promise you I would not have gotten through it however, I can say there was some real tough days and I miss them like crazy.
