I used to play a lot of Genshin, then I started playing HSR... and my Genshin time just went down... :') I keep coming back and leaving Genshin, haha. How active and enthusiastic I am fluctuates all the time. I loved Fontaine and played a lot during those times, I really dislike Natlan and rarely play now, but I'm looking forward to Snezhnaya (as a cryo main) and I'll likely play more then. It just really depends on the content imo. Something else I'd like to add: I think Natlan is making comebacks a little difficult because of how much they're pushing the new characters. Like even the map was made to push the new characters with how annoying traversal is otherwise. Yes the dinos exist, but constantly looking for dinos just to get from A to B gets old fast. And imo exploration is a very big part of the game's appeal, so anything affecting that is significant. If you're not a regular player accumulating pulls by playing every day or you're someone who just isn't interested in Natlan characters, then it can feel quite unpleasant. No other region had this before imo. Fontaine had the ousia/pneuma mechanics, but it wasn't so bad; it mostly came out during certain puzzles, but what you needed was usually nearby and the puzzle itself didn't take up much of your time. I had very few Fontaine characters while 100%-ing the region, but it felt fine even with my old characters. But Natlan? It's literally built in a way that forces you to constantly use the new mechanics for the majority of your gameplay in the region just to traverse, so you'll always be looking for saurians if you're not buying the new characters. It kind of feels like a sellout. Like you have to get the new characters to make exploration a little more pleasant. As someone who isn't interested in most of the Natlan cast, I'm so tired of exploration already and I'm not even 20% done with the map. I don't want to look for dinos anymore just to get past a gap or cross a large body of water. Especially when many of the dinos aren't even stationary like waverides and grappling hooks were, and might just run, fly or swim away forcing you to slowly climb/swim/ice-bridge or wait for them to come back. And that personally bothers me. Feels like they're punishing players for not pulling the new characters by making something important more annoying and even more time-consuming than it needs to be.
that's because you can still unga bunga, if you get the right unit or avoid hard content. And the gameplay and the game as a whole, feel much smoother - so it makes sense you like it better
So quit and go to wuwa, lol or hang out with the boys or something. A rage video with 600ish views is not the answer to a good life. I for my part still love Genshin. I've gotten burnt out and quit for a while now and then, but I have a good job and a social life so I can just pay hoyo for the luxuries so I don't know what a drain on hoyos resources....oooops, I mean f2p player, goes through

you are so right in this whole video. thanks to wuwa my toxic relationship with genshin has ended.
The story is about the friends we make along the way. 96,69% of gebshin gameplay is talking to our friends afterall
just started wuthering waves not long ago. for someone with a unga bunga brain like I did enjoy wuthering a bit more.
