That's Eleanor Bron at 2:16. Not so much a comedienne as an actress as far as I am aware but she has done some comedy (absolutely fabulous- patsy's mother)
janotosinnunumerous, I think there aren't many SNL people there because the focus is on those known to the British population and few British people had access to SNL when these were recorded. The sketch at 9.19 is Beryl Reid talking to Peter Brough, famous for a radio ventriloquism act with his puppet Archie.
i saw this i think on tv, but if i remember right it was on longer thn just one show so i missed some bits, i never knew wanda was in any of the clips, woo thankyou
@roushqueenie Yeahh... if you read Dawn's autobiography you can see how endearing she is when she talks about how much she loves jen. I think on stage and screen they play two people who hate each other... so its hard to tell hahaah
Also re: Eleanor Bron, I think she was also the one in mind when the Beatles wrote/sang 'Eleanor Rigby' (and of course she also appeared in the Beatles movie 'Help). [Just some side info].
As for the clip at the end of this installment, I've figured out that the old gentleman is Peter Brough and his dummy Archie Andrews; from the show Educating Archie - but who is the lady playing Monica the schoolgirl?
@dootza ma i ja sam mahinalno posle 1-1 kliknula na 2-3, nisam ni gledala, i tek kad sam odgledala i da prebacim na sledeci video, ja skontam kakav sam debil. :S u svakom slucaju, hvala na upload-u :)
@XXgav123xx Mariah Carey is black by some people's standards. Both her parents have Afro-hispanic ethnicity as well as Irish, I think. They are I think Venezualen
@todd2007 I think you're right in everything except that "most of these women are considered internationally funny, where as a lot of the SNL cast aren't really considered funny outside the US". I'm from South America, and i think most of them are VERY funny, and a lot of people around here watches SNL,...but then again maybe because we know a lot more about American TV comedy shows than British shows.
I love it when Dawn laughs to their stories! It's so sincere and infectious :)
''I don't think I was funny until I met you..''
I love the interview Dawn does with Jennifer. Very nice, thanks.
Miriam Margolyes: I came out the the womb with hair and I think that is a sign!

Helen is absolutley friggin hilarious!!!! her facial expressions just make me laugh more :)
I love all of this stuff, but I could just watch Dawn and Jennifer talk to each other all day. :) Thanks

Jennifer Saunders is a vision.
Helen Lederer's anti-golfing song. I am honestly howling. 😂😂😂
miriam margoyles is criminally underappreciated. she should be national treasure status by now.

Auntie Embalum! 🤣
Thank you so much for the info!
Reeeeeeeally wish this had been made a few years later, then Miranda Hart would have been interviewed....
I went to school with Laura Solon and she *was* the class clown - she was definitely the funny one.

pathetic if it's a negative comment at least, not if it's positive... cause jen saunders is just beautiful!
If you do a Wikipedia search for "girls who do comedy", there's a list of everyone who French talks to.
As for the clip at the end of this installment, I've figured out that the old gentleman is Peter Brough and his dummy Archie Andrews; from the show Educating Archie - but who is the lady playing Monica the schoolgirl?
Who's that with the sketch that starts at 9:19? Sheila Hancock?

@Rocky183 she's not.
@saturatedfact So how come most of these women are selling to packed audiences every night when they go on tour?
@ellie27ish So women don't judge other women on looks and dress then??
@coreo881 Okay, I'll let you have your moment :D "puts head in food mixer"
Damn, I'd have loved to have been the class clown, those kids were gods. I was more of the class shrub myself.
@coreo881 Yeah, whereas alot of males are completely SMASHING IT when it comes to intelligence
Why aren't the women from SNL in this? like Kristen Wiig, she's the funniest, or at least Tina Fey

I respect all of the funny, intelligent women on the planet. I really do. But unfortunately a lot of your other representatives aren't that bright.
If you think that I've got a tip for the future for you: Don't watch videos that are called "girls who do comedy" *rolls eyes*
