I think the world had given up hope for live action manga adaptations before this came out and now...this is a new age. This is the dawn...OF THE GREAT PIRATE ERA!
As a lifelong One Piece fan since it's release, gotta agree. I havent even watched the live action series yet and can already tell they put lotsa thought and love into it! Will 100% watch it😁🏴☠️
This song really touches me and connects me to the character of Nami. Makes me realize how broken she is and how she reforming from past experiences and losses. I see her like I see everyone who has experienced loss and grief.
I listened to this song before giving the live action a chance. When I did and I got to episode 7, the instrumentals to this song gave me chills. Aurora is very talented but I definitely think this song is one of her more special ones.

I really like how just like the manga/anime, Inaki (live action Luffy) can portray how ANGRY Luffy gets when you mess with his friends. At first he called them his crew but now they're all his friends. Wonderful adaptation
I love that the song gets at the heart of original message of Arlong Park. You can’t do everything on your own. It’s impossible to live without finding people you can rely on and you should ask for help when you need it. Nami tried to be in full control and save the village herself but it was too much for her. It wasn’t until she finally gave up control of the situation and bet on her friends that she was able to escape her lifelong nightmare. At the same time Luffy wouldn’t make it very long on the seas by himself. Without a cook, a navigator, other strong fighters and even liars, he would die early on. Luffy needs Nami and rest of his crew as much as Nami needs Luffy. Luffy even says as much himself. “I can't navigate, I can't use a sword, I can't cook, I can't even lie. I know that I need others to HELP me if I want to keep on living!”

I dont know how many times I've listened to this song since the series was released, but I get so incredibly emotional and teary eyed each and every time. This song is a master piece truly!
This song matches her story. I am pleasantly surpised. I been watchin da anime and readin the manga since i was a child. And honestly, it never quite occured to me how deeply Nami was written. Probably one of the deepest anime personalities out there I have heard about. Folks simply dont give her enough credit. Nami isnt greedy. Greed implies bein selfish. But Nami only wanted all that money all her life to buy the freedom of her village. Of her loved ones. Of her friends. Of her sister. She wasn't able to protect her mother cuz Bellemaire refused to deny her adoptive children as her own. Nobody knows better what it means to be family than Nami. Blood dont matter. History dont matter how u found one another. She did everything for her family/village in the face of death and pain, desperately tryin to buy them free from Arlong. Even tho she was a child at that time. And all this time her heart suffered, thinkin her village abandoned her, she still tried to love them and free them. Despite being shunned by everyone and having lost her mother, she continues keepin a strong heart in the face of loneliness and pain to free the very people who gave her a cold shoulder. She hid her loneliness behind pretending to be selfish and money-greedy. She hid her love by pretending to be apathetic. All for the people she loves. Have u ever been shunned from people or the world? This pain will turn ya stonecold and make u become selfish and distrustin. It will make u lose hope in humanity and trust. There is only so much the human heart can bear after all. Only few get to keep their humanity in the face of this pain. Only truly strong hearts get to do that. And while being just an invented anime character, Nami treasured her love for others more than any other treasure out there. Even if it meant sacrificing herself and her dreams. I'm glad I'm not alone, Nami is truly a great character. Maybe, the second best well written character after Sanji.
