Proctor winning a close battle under immense pressure, while still being the caddy all 4 rounds for Eveliina is bananas. Like who else caddy for hours before playing his own round right after and winning? Crazy props to Proctorious!
ANSWER: The international player pay less because they have to pay for the association in their own country. If you claim Finland you have to pay for Finland then get your PDGA
Couldn’t disagree more on 17. I was there all weekend and saw many players lose 2-4 strokes on 17 and 18. 18 makes sense it’s just difficult. But 17, you can mess that up by missing the putt on the elevated basket and it rolls down that hill and gives you a 40 footer uphill on an elevated basket. 17 and 18 are perfect final 2 holes.
What I hope they do next year on live coverage is have the running thread of playoff spots and season standings like they do every other major sports. But I really hope they keep working to make the playoffs mean something more than just an extra points grab. Need the product to be better/more relatable/marketable
When talking about baskets I agree more with Hunter on time to implement. Say testing takes 1 month to conduct, compile a report and send to the manufacturers. Then you have slightly less time to design a new basket. From an engineering standpoint say it takes 1 months to design a new basket (maybe more than just the chain design is wrong). As a manufacturer you then want to run the same tests they will run to ensure your basket will pass. After you run your tests you have to ship it to get official tested, another month. You’ll want to factor in a few weeks of redesign in case something is caught that you didn’t intend. Only then can you send the design to your manufacturer to start producing baskets assuming you don’t do them in house. Factor in shipping time from a likely overseas supplier and you’ve got well over the 3 months to get a new production style basket. Clearly this can be done sooner if there are only minor changes like chain pattern but something like pole diameter or material could affect the entire design.
I was so happy to see this LEGENDARY final 18 holes, particularly the last 9 holes!!! Props to James Proctor, although I wanted Paul to win. Best major tourney I've seen since the throw- in at World's by James Conrad
If I'm Proctor, I would've liked to know that I only needed a bogey after Goose went OB on 18. He could have laid up his third to the gap and jump putted a layup for the drop in win. Easier said than done from an armchair player like myself though.
Members located outside of the U.S. and Canada (international members) may also pay a fee required by their national organization. In other instances, members may be located in a country developing its PDGA membership infrastructure. These circumstances are reflected in their PDGA member dues.
I think Proctor started hole 18 going for the birdie. He pulled a big drive over and got a kick to the center of the fairway. I bet at that point his caddy told him to play it safe rather than running for the island and he played the rest of the hole for par.
I see the different baskets that catch slightly differently the same as the oil patterns for pro bowling. Different oil patterns require a different bowl to get the strike and they just need to know how to bowl for that location's pattern. Same with the baskets. You know what basket is coming up, prepare for that basket. Standardizing on a single basket makes putting easier and you guys are always saying they need to make it more difficult.
Well first off we need to make baskets smaller. Golfs hole is 2 ball widths so we need to make the basket 2 discs widths wide. Then the future of disc golf is the slopes of the greens. This is huge. What comes to mind was European open with the new course
I was ready to start defending Luke Taylor until you read the stats out. He’s solid and a great dude off the course too. One of my favorites on the rise still.
I think it's funny that Hunter and Trevor cannot fathom how a Pro can play a tournament without knowing exactly where they're at and then proceed to tell stories about how some of the best rounds they ever played were when they didn't know where they were at.
I’m one of those people who wanted to see Paige shank her hole 1 drive. She lost my respect after her “Unsub from Tour Life” bs. She says Uli is her friend but then publicly tells everyone to unsub from his podcast. What a friend!
17 would be better with improved camera work. I lost count of how many times commentary saw the upshor over the shoulder and said, "Oh it's parked," then the crew gets up there and it's a 40 ft death putt. An elavated cam or a drone shot that can see the 2nd throw and the hole becomes interesting imo
The Proctologist could have heard “just play for par” and thought he was out of it, assuming a chase card player put down a fire round. Play for par could mean, “don’t risk losing a tie for podium” or something. With that in mind, he also could’ve not thought anything. If you play never knowing where you are at, you get used to not thinking about it. Not knowing the situation and deferring to a caddie keeps your head focused on an objective, and not an outcome. Objective “get par” is much easier than “seal the victory”
Definitely disagree on the baskets. I don't think it's gimmicky to have different baskets on different courses. That's what we all do everyday if you travel and play new courses. Ive personally liked the prodigy baskets whenever ive ran into them. If they want to create new standards, I'm okay with that, there should be something to go off of what is acceptable. I think limiting it to 1 manufacturer is a mistake though, and i agree it makes more sense to give them time after they test otherwise they are affecting the sales of the manufacturers which are still the biggest sponsors of the events. And I hate the idea of making the baskets smaller it will make aces and throw in less common and make putting worse to watch. Plus I hate the idea of the pros playing a different game then amatuers and casuals. I think the baskets are in a good place from what I see every day.
@@zacharyglen8534Do you know the actual meaning of that word? Like someone already commented, the actual meaning of Proctologist is "butt doctor". WebMD says it a little better: "Proctologists are doctors who specialize in colon and rectal issues." I don't think Proctor would like to be called that (although I think he has a great sence of humor and doesn't take himself too seriously).
That's funny because I thought about what if I won this tournament and had to deny jumping in the water because I can't swim. Obviously this is theoretical I'm never going to even play this event but that would 100% be in my head if I was in contention. No way I can jump in that water though I'd have to be the one that lets everyone down.
Niklas started calling him that on an episode of skins last season…..also the nick name “proctologist” is no bueno and hope does not gain any momentum.
I mean I built a whole putting machine amd made a video to test for spitouts. Why don't they model that? Pretty easy to scale that and make a decision on what's the best.
I don’t think the blonde guy understands how many baskets need to be changed out with whatever they decide is new standard. Ppl assume stuff happens magically overnight I guess?
Do all of you guys DIS or talk about Paul for a fleeting second????? I love watching your channel, but I am getting fed up with the dissing of P.M.!!!!! Paul McBeth spends his money and time bringing DG to other countries and did you turn a blind eye to the NYC course he prompted? Not to mention that if Paul McBeth never existed or decided not to play DG l???? If that happened, there wouldn't be YOU GUYS, there wouldn't be astronomical payouts, and Disc Golf would be what it was in the 90's, 1 out of 1000 people would know what disc golf was! Please guys, stop the hating! Other than that issue, you guys ars awesome and I look forward to your newest TH-cam videos

“Billy bob jim running a c tier out in Blacksburg” 😂
This tournament was the best one I’ve watched in recent memory. Actual competitive final round, maple hill is great, and a clutch ending for proctor

Thank you guys! Way to give Paul McBeth props!
Niklas been calling him proctorius for a while now.

“Candace Burridge” isn’t it Cadence Burge?
Konner is the real MVP for getting this up during the 24 hour livestream
That's right! Conner makes every TH-cam video Foundation does worth it! If Conner wasn't there, I wouldn't watch a single Foundation video

In Finland the required competition license is 62€ including pdga membership.
If the caddy can guide you with what to do without telling you the scores then it's fine
Hunter hit the tiba-tiba-timba-lake with Trevor 😂

At this point i would love to see Proctor go "Jim Everret" on these guys. Table flip and everything.
I guess the Jerry's kids never heard of Notorious B.I.G.
love the manufacturer's cup
Perhaps one of the best 18th holes on tour, honestly.
Honestly the recent run has been good. MVP the best, but fox run and toboggan are both solid finishers.

Guys- Even in what I saw it said the PDGA /DGPT will be using players as testers. Apparently obviously the ones at the PT Championship.
I was ready to start defending Luke Taylor until you read the stats out.
He’s solid and a great dude off the course too.
One of my favorites on the rise still.
James Proctor is my favorite pro and I am so stoked.
Proctorious = Proctor + victorious
Proctology + adventurous
Correct indeed
That makes sense. Proctorious is the EVOLUTION of Proctologist. 🤯
No shit 😂
I think it's funny that Hunter and Trevor cannot fathom how a Pro can play a tournament without knowing exactly where they're at and then proceed to tell stories about how some of the best rounds they ever played were when they didn't know where they were at.
Because its not the same thing. You need to know where you stand to make the most informed decision
No one doesn't know where they're at, especially going down the stretch when they're in contention. The ones saying that are full of shit.
23:00 mpo starts

Did you guys skip grip locked 264? Maybe I'm missing something.

Paige has been a bitter loser ever since her game has declined. Possibly/probably before that too but I dont care enough to be informed.

He should have laid up for an intentional bogie after seeing gossage throw OB
Nope! Not a chance! That doesn't happen at the elite level

tone poles are the best
How about this stat! SIX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS to TWO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS......WTF GUYS
What does a pro pgda player get that an am player doesnt for the extra $25? Nothing. PDGA is a rip off.
JAMES PROCTOR
Trevor, put your money where your mouth is and develop an approved basket. Should be available to order at Foundation from Feb 2025.
Proctorious is much better than the proctologist.
Proctorious doesn’t mean anything though. He got the name proctologist because he picks apart courses. I just like that it has some meaning.
Nah fr since wayy back, like 05 at least

Pretty sure they’re playing off “victorious” not “notorious” like Brodie started.

You'll have to be a fast learner
Bro it’s all eyes on you. You won’t drown. You could take a day before the tournament to learn floating and flapping back to shore
Does Trevor know they don’t speak Spanish in Portugal?
I met proctor at dglo last year and called him the proctologist. He kinda laughed about it but I don't think he likes it
