Someone asked this but either YT is hiding the comment or it was deleted so I will answer it here. Q: Does this work with ironwolves? A: Yes it does! An ironwolf's coat is still able to be edited and changed, even when other parts of their customization become locked, so you can do this with an ironwolf just like you can with a regular wolf.
I did this once by accident. I didn't know she was KK until partway through. I've managed to find two KK NPCs. The first took a long time of the entire map's dispersals, second time I found one in the first set of dispersals (what luck!).
Its a good idea to get a KK and kk wolf but they can have only Kk pups (just like you said) amd thise are black and i prefer gray 😂 But i will try it when the saga will come out
Actually a lot of runts don't have KK coats. I've had a lot of runts and they were never a KK. I actually don't get a lot of KK wolves. You can only get a pup who has a KK coat by having two parents who have genetic black coats or one of the parents already has a KK coat. My wolf, Clara, had a mate who had a KK coat and so Gray(one of the runts) had a KK coat because of that. But Ive had a lot of runts who turned out to have gray genetics or who had regular Kk genetics and didn't have a KK.
my Kk wolf with Kk mate (i've checked MULTIPLE times + still have the save if you want me to check again) had a kk pup a few years back when actual pure white pup existed.
KK does not give any sort of perks or benefits to a wolf. This is mainly just a guide for people who want to make a KK wolf for the fun of it! A very small percentage of wolves with the lethal black gene survive to adulthood (if they even survive to birth) so it's mainly seen as a "rare" and unique thing to get a KK wolf ingame. Additionally, having a KK x kk pairing leads to litters that are entirely Kk (non-lethal black), aka all black litters with high disease resistance. KK x kk pairs can make it much easier to farm for the black unlockable/NPC coats.
All NPC wolves (dispersals, rivals, etc) are completely randomly generated with each new game so there are none who are always guaranteed to be KK. Genetically black NPC wolves have the same tiny chance as the player wolf to randomly be generated as KK instead of Kk, but you will only be able to check by courting them, then looking at the bottom of their tab in your pack stats menu.

I am not suggesting in the video that all runts are KK! I am saying that most KK pups tend to be runts.

I had two blackfires with KK and never realized until recently, I've also noticed a lot of my wolves are KK on accident
Doing a white but, genetically KK wolf could make for a cool albino oc if all your pups are then black.
I need this game on steam..its been years since i played it...
Well funny story
It is on steam for $20!!
My mate is KK
I still don’t understand what perks KK/ lethal black coat gives you.

Are there any NPC KK wolves, and of yes, can you somehow know which ones are them?
