Back in 1998 I used to goto Allston/Brighton/Brookline (Coolidge Corner alot) when I was young and looking to date. @8:02 Everyone at BlueMoon Smoke shop knows me "The guy in the Red Mustang who comes from Wakefield" (they were the only shop that carried the coils for my wax/shatter vape)
I lived in Boston from the late '80s to the early 2000's. On May 30th, 1992, a friend of my roomate (Michael Cartier) murdered a Mass Art student (Kristen Lardner). At the end of her work shift from Marty's Liquors (corner of Commonwealth and Harvard), Cartier (who had just left his work shift from Bunratty's on Harvard Ave.) approached her from behind and shot her in the head right there in front of the pedestrians. When she fell, he shot her a few more times. He then ran into an alley to his apartment nearby; then ended his own life. The girl's father wrote a book about it ---"The Stalking of Kristen." There still exists a painted over stain on the sidewalk after all these years.
Interesting to talk about Kristen. In 1997 I was living in Brighton at that time, that's next to Allston. I was playing in a club In Allston, Had a few drinks. Two girls approach me, liked my songs.Talk for a while, Asked me to walk with them close to their apart. It was Freaking cold outside street almost empty, winter time, When out of the blue one of them show me the exact spot where one of her girlfriend was shot few years ago. I thought, this girl was too drunk or nuts? But her face was full of anger then caressing the ground spoke softly to Kristen. She said she used to avoid to come here. Few days later, I started to investigate & I was told the whole story. (Tim Boston)
