I ended up going to grad school in MN and settling in MN and after living in a number of places, I thought I wanted to live in other parts of the country and world, I realized I missed the Midwest. It’s not the weather I missed, it was the people. Love WI, IA, ND, SD and Minnesotans. ND and WI by far ( other than MN people) are my favorites. In grad school I experienced my longest MN goodbyes from my ND buddy. Literally , I would be trying to leave at 1 or 2 AM and I would get out of there by 6 AM. Nuts. I always explain to people, living in the south there are churches everywhere ( I spent some time in MS) in WI it is bars everywhere. In the middle of nowhere, there’s a bar. Haha. Good people, truly decent people come from the Midwest. That’s not to say decent people aren’t in other places, the South has good people too and all over the place, there are just a higher percentage of them in the Midwest in my experience. In fact last time though Wisconsin even though my mom is not from Wisconsin She filled up/stopped mainly in the smaller Kwik trips two or three times due to how they had less tourist people at them as they were a little bit off the main Highway 14 for travel in the small towns. Love ya Charlie. Hey tell your folks I says Hi.
As a NYer w a WI mother in law, the key to not taking food neither of you wants is "oh, I wish I could, but I'm not going right home. I don't want it to spoil in the hot car." Only works in the summer.
When a lived in San Diego my co- workers used to ask me to say "bagel" all the time. They said my accent was cute, and I was in denial that I had an accent being from Minnesota. Bag ... I get it now! Lmao! 😂

You're the best Charles bringing Midwest humor to all us. Tell your folks I says hi. 🎉❤
Great show, and that end had me start to tear up a bit. Charlie is a hell of a man for doing that at the end of his comedy show. He does, in fact, keep er movin.
Oh my gosh, I'm so excited about this hey! Way to go Charlie!
thank you Caitlin!
As if the show wasn’t perfection, the auction to benefit local charities at the end was such a kind gesture. Watch the video until the end. So cute & what a terrific show. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I just love that one lady laughing her arse off and its contagious. 😂
As an eastcoaster, this is soo good!! Not gonna lie some jokes went over my head but not many. This is such a great special, better than many on Netflix! ❤❤❤😊
So good! I’m homesick for Wisconsin and this was just what the doctor ordered ❤
Glad it didn't disappoint! Where's home?
@@CharlieBerens Madison ❤️ We are living in Santa Fe, NM and are hoping life brings us back. We also spend some of our summers in Jacksonport. Love those woods!!!
His YT short "Midwestern with a LA Uber Driver" was gold
As a Yooper who visited Wisconsin regularly for many years, Charlie is so spot on in this special 😂
Saw you in a target commercial today and wanted to say congrats on your success. I always found your content great and it's awesome to see how far you've come. Keep it up and congratulations!
Hubby and I are watching this. I have not seen Hubby laugh so hard, and he has never been to the Midwest. Thank you very much for bringing the laughs to our living room tonight, and tell yur folks I saz hi.
As a nebraska blooded Iowan, I fucking LIVE for this kind of humor
I'm a US West Coast city person and I LOVE his jokes. We all know and love some Midwesterners. It's a little rough listening since nearly all the jokes were from videos he already gave us.
He is giving it all away for free.
From TH-cam to the stage you are Gold! As a middle of nowhere Nebraska native myself I GET the midwest and I dig your comedy, my favorite is still Midwest meets East Coast, You have a gift Charlie, the world is your stage, thank you for the laughs so far and I believe you are going places, keep er movin! ❤
We discovered the lovable and relatable genius of Charlie Behrens while we were on a travel nursing contract in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. We love to watch his videos and listen to his stories! He makes me miss WI every day! Can't wait to go back!
A real pleasure to watch this. Charlie on top of his game as he truly deserves. Can't wait for more, and hopefully Philadelphia will get a taste on his next (first?) tour. Cheers, mate. You're on top of the world...
Edit: After the "hitting the deer" story you should pull an Oprah: "And that deer we turned into jerky, and if you look under your seats tonight, you will find a small box with pieces of that deer jerky!!!"
Charlie is an A list comedian in my opinion. Bravo!
Thanks!
Thank you for putting this out for free! Have a good day there
This was HILARIOUS!!!!!! I'm a native Midwesterner and my husband isn't, and he laughed especially hard at the 'bag' pronunciation. He always gives me a hard time about it and I have no idea I'm pronouncing it any differently!! I'm sad we weren't able to go to the La Crosse shows, I hope you do another tour soon!
There’s a big blizzard outside right now here in Appleton, so I fired up the grill, threw on a few brats, and stood outside watching the snow blow with a beer in my hand. I’m a Wisco boy through and through…
How did I miss this??? My sides hurt, I needed this!
Charlie, I really cannot say this enough, you are hilarious!!! My entire family knows you and although we weren't there for the show, after watching it on TH-cam, I feel like I was actually there. Charlie, thank you. Thank you for being the voice of the Midwest. I never realized how similar we all are, I didn't even know that 'Ope' was in my dictionary until I found you that's how bad it was. But now, I am more educated about the Midwest, as well as the amazing folks who live in it. Also, gotta say, I am just a tiiiiiny bit disappointed that Myles didn't make an appearance. Bellied Up has to be one of if not my absolute favorite podcast! Huh, this comment is getting a little long... Welp, I s'pose.
im from Newfounland Canada, which has a very different culture to the rest of Canada, exhibit a) is that this is the most relatable video ive EVER seen on the internet, everything from the oddly similar dialect and accent, to the over-hospitality hospitality, i was dying of laughter thru it all👍👍
Newfies are the best! It's the Wisconsin of Canada. I was there on a work trip and was waiting for the guy next to me to run low on his beer before I offered to buy him one. Didn't want to inconvenience his drinking schedule. We still talk to this day!
Can't wait to watch this!!
hope you like it!
That theater is gorgeous, dayum
Charlie, watching you makes me feel damn proud to be from Iowa, with a father growing up in Minnesota don’t cha know….. thank you for being YOU!
Oh cripes well thank you for being you. Was he a vikings fan?
I live in Omaha born and raised love Charlie.
Greetings from NZ! Brings back great memories of my four years living in Wisconsin! Miss the jerky, football and meat raffles....we already have the four hour good bye!
Watching this while hungry was an amazing decision. Thanks for the amazing laughs
Coming back to this almost a year later, hungry again. I love Charlie
I went to one of your shows and I don't know if my family has ever laughed as hard as we did there
This was hilarious! Just killing it the whole time. I’m already quoting jokes from this special.
Can't wait!!!
thank you! hope ya like it!
@@CharlieBerens I liked it so much! I've already watched it twice!
Great special, Charlie! I sent it to a friend of mine who's relocating to Michigan. I have to prepare her for Midwestern Nice. Tells your folks I says hi.
Too excited! Thanks for all the laughs Charlie!
you bet Chris more to come!
Midwest flashbacks! So good 🎉
I was suppose to go to your performance in Marshfield on NOv. 9th. Instead I got a ticket to visit the throne on a regular basis if you know what I mean. So I am here trying to assuage my sad feelings at missing your show. I made my hubby go and so he had a real good time with his daughter and daughter in law and it all turned out good. Love ya Charlie. Hey tell your folks I says Hi.
LOL - you came for the Vikings EARLY in your set 🤣 (but you had every right to)
Been watching since the old Manitowoc minute days, great to see another special from you. Keep er movin!
As a NYer w a WI mother in law, the key to not taking food neither of you wants is "oh, I wish I could, but I'm not going right home. I don't want it to spoil in the hot car." Only works in the summer.
Great special! We love you here in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. Tell your family we says hi, and watch out for deer!
Thank you so much! Tell the folks in Sturtevant I says hi
The end made me literally sob Charlie is the best ever 😭❤️
His accidental gun shooting story was one of most hilarious ones I have ever heard.
When a lived in San Diego my co- workers used to ask me to say "bagel" all the time. They said my accent was cute, and I was in denial that I had an accent being from Minnesota. Bag ... I get it now! Lmao! 😂
There's something about this man from a certain part of the USA speaking about life that gets to me. You've got an ability to always infuse humour into what your saying, by virtue of what your saying or just by your energy. Keep it up mate!
(P.S it seems like a Midwest goodbye is something that we've got over here in rural England as well!)
Thanks for sharing your great sense of humor and your human kindness 😊 ❤️ 💜 😀
This was awesome Charlie, so happy you had this opportunity and fingers crossed there's more to come!!
This is the most midwestern comedy hour I've ever heard 😂😂
My grandpa is a born and raised Washingtonian but has all the mannerisms of a Midwesterner. The whole Midwest goodbye was so real with that man.
Love how you make us proud to be from Wisco! Again!
