Those who believe that Evolving Skies BBs are being minuplated are those that don't have any. They missed out on the gains, are salty, and are spreading FUD to try to get in on a lower price. The amount left for sale is pretty thin and it won't take much to move the price up. This set has been highly sought after since it released and is already considered one of the best modern sets by many. Imagine the value once more time passes.
Please for the love of all that is holy. If you work and are under, 30 contribute up to the employers 401k match then open up a Roth IRA and put money into an S&P 500 ETF or mutual fund. Hold to it and you will be happy in 10, 20, 30 years... it can be $100 a month... just do it... don't sell if it drops.

Then you invest $1,000 a month when you make even MORE money. This is why people need to stop wasting their money on fast food and coffee. people seem to fail to remember there is still live breaks happpening. You may not see a box worth 500, but to the guy selling 36 packs for 15 a pack, that price is acceptable. He will sell 6 packs a day and rip open a few a month. This is across every single set. there will be less today than yesterday till there is almost none left. it will never end.

Wish i got a few booster boxes. I focused on evolving skies etbs and 3 pack blisters, arceus V boxes , zard UPC's and celebrations. In 2021 i wasnt experianced enough and it seemed etbs had potential to double in a year or 2 and seemed BB's didnt. Ive done well, but could have been much better. Lesson learned.

Idk man even if those ppl bought and sold ES between each other lost $30 per transaction but the market price would raise $70 due to those sales and they’re holding a ton of ES they only have to do those “fake” or “wash” sales a handful of times and in the end the profits outweigh the cost for them so I don’t believe it’s fairy dust, it’s plausible for sure. Ive already made memories with my modern horizons boxes. Every time insee them they hreak my heart. Miss my x from the time. And i love to keep that memory. Thats wht this all about. Things we buy today. When we get older we get to remember back in time. When i look at a regrowth. It brings me back to the 90s etc. Force of nature reminds me of an old friend that passed away 5 years ago.
If you have 1000 boxes and you fake the sales and waste money but rise price on product it's still going to be a worthwhile investment for the people doing it. You don't even need to cancel the sales.

The game piece argument for continued reprints of Evolving Skies is missing the point. The set already has multiple printings, making the market abundant with cheap and playable cards. Genuine desire for the high rarity cards is what is keeping the price high, and at the same time the people cracking for those few high rarity cards puts all of their undesired bulk back into the market. It’s a win-win.

I keep telling ppl pokemon is a long game not an overnight flip and dip. Then the actual data comes out and they'll adjust and approve the reprint run. And so on and so on until an amount of time goes by and it's no longer in the window. That's according to a couple videos I've seen on YT that discuss print runs and why some sets get so many and others get so few.

In Australia most products sold out on the first day and all that is left are the poster collections. It is all on Facebook for prices that no one will pay. It's kind of sad. I really hope there's a reprint so much for that reason as well. Just seems I can't find a clear answer online if it will happen. I'm dying to find out!

Exactly. It is so simple that most miss it. Sealed Pokemon has always yielded a return long term, but most are so short-sighted that they easily miss the gains. Then, they try to explain the rapid value increase on high demand products with excuses such as what Rudy is talking about.

Listen. I know there’s “no way” to predict what boxes go crazy. I didn’t predict evolutions. I sold a few kanto power boxes. And ETBs. Sold more than I kept. And I regret that. But for boxes like evoking skies, if you didn’t see the writing on the wall, maybe you were new at the time or just didn’t understand the demand. I remember when it restocked in single boosters at a grocery store near me and I bought all of them. Every single one in the store at 3.99. I picked up 2 cases worth of loose boxes when they were 140. God. Best set ever.

Chilling Reign and Fusion Strike were hyped and fomo'd by 2 content creators (1 even stated he was probably creating fomo) which made them jump. After 1 of the 2 CCs made their fomo video on Chilling Reign, that box was up $10 and then never looked back. Then FS followed suit. The price chart show this. I was buying CR at $90/box then after the 1st video, the next time I was able to buy CR, the $box was about $105 but kept going up to the $145 mark then leveled off as the PC still have inventory.
He's referring to the crowd of people that believe all cards should be cheap. They get mad at expensive cards when they have to buy them and these people believe Rudy is conspiring behind the scenes to inflate prices. Though, these same people get mad when they pull cards with low value lol. You can't have it both ways! I try to get atleast 1 case per set..and just sit back. Literally as simple as that. You can even downscale that to a box per set if you want..it’s a simple game 🤦 even if there’s a ton printed..people open and life happens. Not everyone buying day 1 keeps them sealed.

Exactly. It is so simple that most miss it. Sealed Pokemon has always yielded a return long term, but most are so short-sighted that they easily miss the gains. Then, they try to explain the rapid value increase on high demand products with excuses such as what Rudy is talking about.
Agree with both of you. People have short attention spans and want instant wins. Buy cards with money you don’t need right now. Sit back and enjoy the ride. I agree when people say nothing is guaranteed but the history is there..chances are all of these sets will rise in value at some point. People just love to complain when they miss out.

Listen. I know there’s “no way” to predict what boxes go crazy. I didn’t predict evolutions. I sold a few kanto power boxes. And ETBs. Sold more than I kept. And I regret that. But for boxes like evoking skies, if you didn’t see the writing on the wall, maybe you were new at the time or just didn’t understand the demand. I remember when it restocked in single boosters at a grocery store near me and I bought all of them. Every single one in the store at 3.99. I picked up 2 cases worth of loose boxes when they were 140. God. Best set ever.
i just purchased 50 sleeved boosters last week and this this week it all goes up haha.

Chilling Reign and Fusion Strike were hyped and fomo'd by 2 content creators (1 even stated he was probably creating fomo) which made them jump. After 1 of the 2 CCs made their fomo video on Chilling Reign, that box was up $10 and then never looked back. Then FS followed suit. The price chart show this. I was buying CR at $90/box then after the 1st video, the next time I was able to buy CR, the $box was about $105 but kept going up to the $145 mark then leveled off as the PC still have inventory.

They get mad at expensive cards when they have to buy them and these people believe Rudy is conspiring behind the scenes to inflate prices. Though, these same people get mad when they pull cards with low value lol. You can't have it both ways! They want cards to be cheap when they buy them but they want cards to be worth a lot when they pull/sell them.
