I absolutely love it, thanks for this great review. I also have this EcoFlowMax and it lasted well beyond the 2 weeks we were out in the woods training soldiers. It only decreased to 82% battery life, and I was so impressed!! For a Veteran like myself, who’s stuck out in the field about 6 times per year, it’s well worth the investment!! It charges everything that I need to sustain myself, without draining my car battery.

One thing that sold me on this was that it will charge, when using an AC plug in, from empty to full in around 1.5 hours, or from empty to 80% in an hour. I could see that being handy in the field, boondocking, having to run a generator for just that short time to charge it up. Great for CPAP machines. I believe that is significantly less time than their competition.

Can you really start car with it without battery damage? If capacity is 1800watts.. at 12volts .. that's 150amps. But cars can take 500-800 cranking amps to start.....has anyone tried? Is there a protective cut off? Or will it allow any load?

You can probably power something needing 1800 watts on this for about 2 minutes before the battery runs down and the unit shuts off, so that statement is misleading.

I have used my River Pro to run my full size refrigerator for 4 + hours without the extra battery. The x-Boost worked well. It should be used in emergency uses only for refrigerators.
