Is it just me, or do studios like Paramount & Warner Bros. don’t feel like major studios anymore, especially since they’ve been bought by studios that aren’t as big as them.
Shari Redstone is the daughter of Sumner Redstone (who was National Amusements' CEO until his death in 2020). Sumner bought Viacom in 1986, turning it into one of the world's biggest media conglomerates. National Amusements under him bought Paramount Communications (then-parent of Paramount Pictures) in 1994.
Actually this was a Warner Bros management decision while the animation was done by DePatie Freleng. They wanted someone more popular (besides Bugs who they retired from appearing in new shorts) as Speedy's new foe to replace Sylvester. Enter Daffy. Friz Freleng did the 1st one then the rest of the DFE era Daffy and Speedy shorts were directed by Robert McKimson. Then briefly at Format Films by Rudy Laveria then Alex Lovy in the Seven Arts era.

@@tennojiberri This is my wishful thinking that i had since thr 2000's, WB should have made either movie or TV shows based on Sonic the Hedgehog and other Sega IPs, possibly a fully animated Sonic movie in response to Mario movie. In fact, WB and Sega have partnered several times rather be WB's former subsidiary, Time Warner Cable, partnering with Sega for Sega channel, Sega publishing some games based on WB IPs like Samurai Jack and Matrix, Sonic getting a crossover with OK K.O., Cartoon Network airing Sonic Boom and recently Sonic will parner with DC Comics in 2025.
How am I just now hearing about ‘Skydance’?
Good question, they’re good
And also They are buying National Amusements as well!

Warner, Paramount and Disney is becoming a shell of their former selves
Any chance of a Part 2 of your Looney Tunes portrayal for how the movie industry did in the second half of 2024?
Well, that was Weird but Paramount Recently bought Skydance Media.
other way around
It looks like Paramount is partnering with Skydance Media for movies, so yeah.
That's alright. I never understood that part of that video until a recent rewatch anyway.
This better at least save from the studio from how it's been a ghost of its former self, despite being unlikely

To me, I think that sentiment applies to Paramount. At least Warner still has the biggest film library in the world to benefit them.
@@tvs6607and now they own the entire MGM library even their post 1986 films ironically
This is so accurate 😂
This is so accurate!!! #skydance #skydancemedia #paramount #paramountglobal #skydanceparamountmerger
Remember when that one person at paramount was just like," Will mwver work with sky dance." Oh yes you will.
Oh, Boy. I knew it would be Accurate.
Well David Ellison practically wants to make Paramount the new Sony (movies & technology giant)
Because that works out so well for Sony. ::sarcasm::
Oh, and let's not even begin to talk about their unofficial new logo...
Graphic design is their passion.
@@tvs6607 Indeed.

Who's Shari Redstone, again? I'm kind of in the dark.

Hey at least it'll be beneficial to everyone.....I hope
I can never understand why Daffy feuding with Speedy Gonzales was considered an idea to whoever was in charge of Seven Arts then.

Shari Redstone = David Zaslav
Skydance = Sega
Paramount = Warner Bros.
