The best video I’ve watched. I made these many years ago & now that I’m much older I’ve decided to make some for each of the ladies in my Sunday school class as a Christmas “happy”.
Great tutorial!!! You Explain everything you do very well. I personally find it easier to crochet across the top for my foundation row. I actually do a 1 single crochet on the 1st dot, chain 1, 1 single crochet on the next dot, chain 1 single crochet all the way across the top and then I can go right into crocheting the rest of the top like you did for the top of the towel.
Love this pattern . I would like a printed pattern if available. Thanks. Years ago I made these and cut them in half and poked holes in them. This way is so much better. Thanks!
Hi Sylvia! I am so happy I found your video tutorial!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I did want to ask you if it is necessary to double up your yarn for the blanket stitch. I use 100% cotton yarn and it is not so easy to use doubled up😂 Have you ever done a towel using an awl to make holes and start your rows that way? If so, can you make a video using that method?
I can’t touch microfiber towels. They don’t absorb, they stick to your hang nails. I only use 100% cotton when I do my towels. I do them very differently than this. My bridge row is different. I’m going to try one your way right now. thanks for the tutorial. Every crochet class I took said there’s no knots in crocheting. you always weave in, up down up. over 40 years of crocheting and I’ve never made a knot
My first time watching you. Great tutorial ! I’m not trying to be rude, but one ?... Why would you go through all that work on a cheap Dollar Store towel? Every time you wash it it gets thinner and less absorbent... I can see it on a a thicker, nicer towel.... what am I missing ?🤔☺️
Best step by step tutorial for a beginner I have ever seen.
I love your work you are a great wonderful teacher good job God bless you always 😊 thank you
Thank you 😊
❤thank you for a simple way to do the tops .❤ God bless stay safe

Thanks for such a great tutorial. I’m a beginner and some of the others were a little difficult to follow. I was able to follow this right through. 😀
Love it great in detail but I would love the pattern how can I get it🙏
I didn’t have a button handy so just made a magic circle button, works perfectly.
Oh that's a great idea!
Do ypu have a written pattern for this towel toppern please?
Thanks
Good morning love your video but please could you tell us about what ply you use to crochet kay
Size 4, worsted weight yarn :) thank you
Thank you for this tutorial!
Your very welcome
Have you ever used cotton yarn on these?
Yes I have, the problem is cotton shrinks some so I prefer acrylic on these.
Great tutorial!!! Ty
Thank you! 💗

I love this tutorial. I’m new to crocheting and I think this will be a great beginners project for me. Sylvia what kind of yarn did you use?
Hello, I just use regular size 4 acrylic yarn for this :) thank you very much for watching.
Life With Sylvia okay thank you so much! I appreciate your prompt response.
No problem at all.
Do you have a written pattern you could share please
Why do you use double yarn 🧶
You need a bright light. Good tutorial.
Yes I do lol, thank you
A quilter's ruler is fantastic for marking the dots.
Like better when cut in half. Get a pair that way. Good tutorial otherwise.
I also cut mine in half
Playing it slower gives u a lovely drawl
Sound like you’ve had a bucket of bourbon 😅
Lol
Too fast on the decreasing 😏

It’s a nice thrifty hand made gift.
Just start crocheting with single crochet in the holes. Don't need this extra step.
What holes? The sewing needle is creating the holes.
The corners on my towels always dog ear! What is the problem?
It may be your tension try and loosen up a bit :)
