OceanOfTwilight i watch Once Upon A Time what other references are there besides the flashing back to others stories? i was just wondering cuz it would be kool to see more references from lost
the candy bar 'apollo' from lost makes an appearance. also you when the clock strikes 8:15? i think thats a reference to oceanic 815. also theres a ton of actors from lost who make an appearance on once.
For those who don't understand the third ending, there used to be a popular show in the 70s called The Bob Newhart Show which was followed by another show called Newhart that ended with Bob Newhart waking up as his character from the first show next to his wife from the first show telling her he just had the craziest dream (the dream being the second show). It was a genius way to tie the two shows together in the series finale, and the audience LOVED it.
This show is amazing, look the nature, look this excellent scene, excellent actors, the music makes it much drama and the person takes more attention. For me, this was and is the best one I've ever seen, I love their songs that fit in perfect situations, the actors are always excellent (Ben Linus, Desmond Hume, Jack, Kate, Sayid-really good, James, Clair, John- the best, Charles Wid., Man in black, Richard, Rose and anothers... and above all its history and composition of themes for each season. It is spectacular! those who did not see, I recommend.
I don't like survivor when its main principle is lying and backstabbing. I have enough of lying especially when my brother had practice of lying all the time and never know was he speaking true or lie.
Just watched the finale and I’m glad to have understood it correctly. I thought I was trippin at first. But two of the biggest clues for me were: Christian saying “there is no NOW here” to Jack, and Hurley & Ben giving each other props for being a great #1 and #2. This showed me they all died at different times and converged at one point in purgatory. One of the best written shows I’ve ever seen.
actually, it's segments like this and bloopers of the show that brings people back to reality and reminds them that it is just a tv show. a person really into this tv show can really get lost in it (no pun intended), because it was one of the best program on television -- ever.
You see Richard three times in one skit! Coming in the doors at 2:30, then sitting at a table with a girl at 2:45 wearing different clothes, then coming through the door again at 3:02 wearing different clothes AGAIN! You see him a few times afterword, but wearing the same clothes as the last appearance.
it wasn't a parallel universe, it was a purgatory of some sorts, after he and everyone else died, they stayed there until they were ready to move on. which is exactly what happens in the ending scene.
The ending was fine except for the fact that it left a bunch of unanswered questions about the island itself. The island had a new protector, the smoke monster was defeated, and we saw what happened with the rest of the survivors. Even if you took out all of the afterlife bits from the entire last season, you would still be left with a story that concluded just fine. So if all you took away from the ending was the afterlife bit, then you kinda missed the real ending as it relates to the characters and events on the island.
I can't tell what the last alternate ending is supposed to be, or which 'most famous TV show to ever air' the dream sequence plotline is from. Care to fill me in, someone?
As perfect as I thought the show was, I just hated how Jack died. I know they were recreating the opening scene from the pilot which I thought was cool, but he didn't deserve to die. He should have been able to live his life with Kate.
In that scenario I wouldn't have spent the last 3 minutes of a show I'd watched lovingly for 5.5 years going 'Oh god, they're not really going to do what I think they are, are they?' Imagine if you will, an S6E1 called 'Islands', where 1 group is Jack, Juliet, Sayid, Sun and Richard vs Jacob, and the other is Kate, Sawyer, Claire, Hurley, Jin & Ben vs MIB. Some members of Group 1 and all of Group 2 have FFs. The last 5 mins reveal that Gp 1 was killed by Jughead, those left of Gp2 can go home.
I think the only bit they knew from the beginning was that they would end with Jack closing his eye bookending the first shot where Jack's eye opens in the first episode. I didn't like the cheeseball way the ending added up to everyone who didn't die on the show lived whatever lives they lived (apparently not establishing and strong connections to anyone) and then spent some unknown time in "heaven's mud room" not remembering who they were until Jack was ready to go.
For a kick off it was all made up as they went after series 2. They just tried to keep as many plot holes out as possible as they did it. Ben Linus killed dharma by gassing them but yet hes taken to the temple as a boy to be saved by Kate and Sawyer... yet earlier as that same kid he was begging Richard to take him, only for Richard to tell him he had to be patient. Its that very plot hole that clearly tells people they hadnt a clue how they were going to truly end it or indeed knew where it was going from series 1. The show is brilliant but make no mistake they were tying themselves up in knots by series 4 with all the time travelling stuff,, having sawyer, miles, juliet and jin part of the dharma start of series 5 was ultimately the dumbest thing in hindsight, esp having them ultimately be the ones who caused the incident to begin with... so their past selves are the ones who press the button every 108 minutes bit somehow their future selves cant fathom the incident is basically what caused that plane to crash to begin with 😂😂. As I said.. you really have to suspend disbelief in series 5 onwards esp.. they totally tied themselves up and jumped the shark. But even then it was still a decent show and the ending was actually a good bookending as you put it.
In the second ending, Richard shoots Hurley from off-screen before he can see his good friend Jin. It's just hard to tell from the crappy editing. When the door opens, you see a POV of what Hurley sees. When Jin comes in the door, the POV is black, meaning Hurley is dead.
just finished this series and i don´t know what to do with my life anymore.
You can check out 'Once Upon a Time'. Made by the same people and theres like a million LOST references thrown in.
OceanOfTwilight i watch Once Upon A Time what other references are there besides the flashing back to others stories? i was just wondering cuz it would be kool to see more references from lost

i know how you feel i just finished it, i cant stop crying
Watch Pretty Little Liars, Once Upon A Time or Vampire Diaries :)
There should be another series of when Hugo was the new Jacob with Ben Linus on his side like Richard
With all the reboots out there......you would think this idea would happen
Clearly this is not the same thing, but when he guest starred on How I Met Your Mother as "The Blitz", the Lost references where amazing!
Make it a sitcom
If it were a sitcom then i wouldnt be able to take LOST seriously ever again lol
Khalid Mills Separate show, dude
I love how Jack just gets right down to business as soon as he sits down and says "onion rings" with 100% certainty

They have since done the same thing with Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle. Its was great.
I never had seen one episode of either show but I've herd about the ending and it was ingenious...
@@brotherchrisrco1125 I watched it as a kid on Nick at Night.
This may be one of the most famous final shows and all of television... And you think you have to explain it??
@@AdamTAndersTrue, but the Malcolm in the Middle / Breaking Bad one was a joke. The Bob Newhart one was actually a legitimate ending to the show.
if only I could wake up to Evangeline Lilly in my bed lol
Fingers crossed
Dont be gross🤮
i love this cast so much lol
Wow Hurley,s hair should get its own paycheck its so epic.
it did. sorta, he had it insured for like a gazillion bucks

I think it's still the top after 20 years.
The survivor ending is fab. It's so awesome! I am a major fan of survivor and lost
I don't like survivor when its main principle is lying and backstabbing. I have enough of lying especially when my brother had practice of lying all the time and never know was he speaking true or lie.
My favourite scene was the one with Ben and Danielle talking about Alex. Ben's expressions in that scene would make anyone teary.
As soon as they said "Hurley's in a diner", I knew it would be the Soprano's ending.
Just watched the finale and I’m glad to have understood it correctly. I thought I was trippin at first. These are better than the actual finale!
I love how they constantly take the piss out of the ending.
Dude, check again in the diner, THREE TIMES RICHARD ALPERT !!!
Lost was actually created in my dream, im dreaming right now the whole world is a dream.
I AM THE TOTALITY OF EXISTENCE!
How can I be 100 % sure am I dreaming or not?
actually, it's segments like this and bloopers of the show that brings people back to reality and reminds them that it is just a tv show. a person really into this tv show can really get lost in it (no pun intended), because it was one of the best program on television -- ever.
LOL Sayid to Michael..."Where the hell have you been?"
Kid Jacob showing up behind Jimmy killed me.
Word dude wtf are they thinking.. LOST is the best tv show ever!!!!!!!!
You see Richard three times in one skit! finished all 6 seasons in 2 weeks...don't know what to do now
LOL the sopranos ending was awesome, they had jin try to park OMG LOL
Lmao, "The writers knew all along."
BULL
SHIT
XD
OH YEAH, WELL I'LL SEE YOU IN ANOTHER LIFE, BROTHER!!!
Lost writers: "We knew how the show would end the whole time! We just didn't know which ending to choose from!"
Seems legit 😏
each of these was better than the actual ending lol
RIP Bob Newhart!!
Best series ever
omgggg I think I just died and went to heaven!!!
This is the best thing ever!
I just finished watching lost!
it wasn't a parallel universe, it was a purgatory of some sorts, after he and everyone else died, they stayed there until they were ready to move on. which is exactly what happens in the ending scene.
I have only seen the first episode of LOST and want to see more, but this was actually pretty funny, survivor and LOST together, that was great XD
You guys need to loosen up. This is hilarious.
IT'S BOB FUCKIN NEWHART!!!! 😂😂😂
haha same here, blasted through series this summer, just finished, need to catch up on all of this stuff.
Dude, you got some... Arnzt on you..
THIS gave me closure.
That Sopranos spoof ending would have made an even better and more logical finale than the one we got.
snozzlehead92 No, the one we got made perfect sense
what show is this called i know it's about lost
Lost was a great show with a cop out ending. Seriously, the ending is "they all died and went to heaven the end".
*****
Enjoying it is purely subjective. Therefore there is no required "capability" to enjoying it.
I enjoyed the ending even though I almost cried ok well I did
The ending was fine except for the fact that it left a bunch of unanswered questions about the island itself. Well obviously they all died. Everyone dies. That wasn't exactly the point of the flash-sideways world, though.
I see so many people talk shit about the ending but never give an example of an endinh for the show that could've been good.
jacob child in background!!!!
The Newhart ending really made it great!
What's the song in the background at 3:10
Come Sail Away, by Styx
"i don't know what your capable of"
I like these better than the way it ended.
1:38 the interview
PS the same video in much better quality is on the Jimmy Kimmel Live channel.
Nah, I have to disagree. It was great how he died. Because then Kate said "It is so good to finally see you again" which made it even more emotional.
Loved the nod to the Sopranos!!!
i love the sopranos ending
I couldn't hear 'Come sail Away' without of Cartman's voice
LOL JIN LOL LOL LOL
still more informative than the actual ending
i don't care!!! i loved lost even though sometimes it made nos sense at all but until today i haven't found one show that catches me like lost did
oh god the Sopranos ending
that Rev. Jeff Probst dude
I don't get the last on @ 6:22. Can someone explain, please?
From which shows are these taken from?? anyone knows? cuz they had them copied right?
I can't tell what the last alternate ending is supposed to be, or which 'most famous TV show to ever air' the dream sequence plotline is from. Care to fill me in, someone?
lol sayid- former torturter
LOLED at the sopranoes homages
what was the third one?
I Wanna Know That Too
As perfect as I thought the show was, I just hated how Jack died. I know they were recreating the opening scene from the pilot which I thought was cool, but he didn't deserve to die. He should have been able to live his life with Kate.
can someone give me an explanation of the second ending. I thought it was sopranos but It felt like an Eric Andre skit
Oh my god this is amazing
I loveeeeeeeeeeeee LOST SMMMMMMMMMMM
This is classic
The first one is nice
What was the third one meant to be?
They can do it well enough themselves :)
The beginning looks like a survivor setup, why?
0:57 I can see why.
the sopranos LOST ending hahahaha classic!
The third ending is the most genius one imho
LOL the kid Jacob

Is the last one Dallas?
Markus Forsberg Markus Forsberg @Markus Forsberg 1 was survivor 2 was sopranos i dont know 3 maybe dallas ? Anyone help me out ?
+jarethozb07 Newhart
He died on the island from all the radiation saving the island in real life. He lived on in the parallel universe.
pffff after watching first 5 episodes of season 1 i already suspected how it will end
I actually liked the survivor one. It made me laugh.
Why it gotta be Jin as the bad driver? 😒
OMG they did a spoof of The Sopranos ending!! LOL
the first alternate was fun
I think the only bit they knew from the beginning was that they would end with Jack closing his eye bookending the first shot where Jack's eye opens in the first episode.

All three endings were still better than the original, at least in my opinion.

first one was the best
