DONGER!!!! I couldnt help but smile a little at this video. All I remember is those crisp lofty ollies...everyone has their favorite trick...anytime im skating the streets i make it a point to crack an ollie any time I pass people. I feel it's my duty as a 40yr disciple to spread the gospel of the church of 'skatin'...this quarantine is PERFECT for slappy sessions....
i did a slappy on a medium red curb and i was so happy , it took along time but i got it , now im trying the taller curbs but my front truck is just getting on there haha im not giving up though
Just started learning BS slappies this week. Still don't have it quite down yet though. He's right about sticking, for sure - I got tossed hard a few times from rough ledges.
Its actually pretty convenient especially on low based curbs... back in the days they were doing this but with feeble instead of fifty fifty, which is pretty hard but nice to watch...
wow ken lieu... haven t heard this name since the hocus pocus days... I use to nickname the kunfu kid with no disrespect... that was back in the days... am still in awe for the stuffs he did back then...
try doing slappy nose or crooked grinds. its way easier getting on to the curb. you can even just smash the front truck into the nosegrind and then put ur back truck down for 50 50's
these are my full specs however Processor: 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-3920XM (8MB Cache, up to 4.1GHz Overclocked*), Memory: 32GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz,Hard drive: 1.5TB SSD RAID 0 (3x 512GB SATA 6Gb/s SSD), Video Card: Dual 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 675M - SLI® Enabled, Wireless: Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO for Gaming & Video and Bluetooth 4.0 and it was a lot of money...aaaaaaaaaaah, but like I said one hell of a machine
industriområden är helt ok också. Jag jobbar på ett sånt "siliconvalley" ställe med massa kontor. Här har vi sånna vita nyare curbs ibland som är mkt halare.
I got your solution mate. find a granite stone to make that curb grindable. And then wax it, grind it again with the stone and wax it again. I tell you after a week you''ll be grinding that shit
So audio editing? I wonder what the Hell you're doing. You said "custom computer built for audio and video editing". What DAC are you using? What amp are you rocking? What headphones are paired with your computer? Are you using a tube amp or are you using a straight up solid state like you should be?
sounds nice better then your last comment, nice to know someone takes pride in what he does...I'm in the fortunate situation, to not have to worry about the prices on the agreed overpriced alienware m18x, but it's a hell of a machine....my alienware is fully custumized but on a higher price tag, I wish not talk about...it was ridiculous....oops I fully enjoy it thou every day....thx for your friendlyness
It's nice to see that Donger still has that long ass rat-tail, but honestly, you get a guy with one of the biggest snaps ever in skateboarding to teach a no-pop trick like a slappy?
TheBlakus420 do you skateboard? you mite not like it but it's way harder and sicker than you think! any chump can fs 5050. very, very few can fs slappy anything. let alone like this!
hey , I have been trying! YanntheMan but the hardest part is to stick the back truck! After I stick the front one. How do I come up with the back truck ? so hard!
Hangar Living yeh man i still have that problem you can push your nose forwards and up and your back truck on like in a 50-50 on a high ledge or just slam and on you hit the kerb push your leg in like a power slide hope this helps and all the best man :) it kills your trucks though so i dont do it often ;)
"Custom computer built for audio and video editing complete with a 5.1 surround sound system with an equalizer". What? I'll be the first to admit I don't know shit about video editing but.. audio editing? What kind of audio editing are you doing that requires a freaking equalizer? You're doing it wrong. When you edit audio, you want a FLAT frequency response. All you really need is pair of good studio monitors. You only need a subwoofer if your monitors are severely attenuated in the bass range.
I only got an alienware m18x with i7-3920XM and 32GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz + a Harman/Kardon DPR 1005 A/V Receiver and Paradigm Monitor v.4 Series Speaker System, yh, so that's probably the flat sound system you are on about....damn, all my money spend on that useless crap....now I have to go and buy a new sound system, so yh...guess I'm having problems....have a nice day buddy
We sessioned a curb in the 80s for 4 straight years ... it really wore down after all that grinding.

Good job dude keep it up!
I loved watching dongers video parts back in the 90s, was always amazed on how high he could do his tricks
The man! Finally some new Donger footage!
It's considered a slappy because to get into the 5050, you kinda "slap" the board into the curb. You can slappy into any grind.
Thanks Kien had bs ones for a year now I’m about to try the fs slappy
0:49 middle age hasn't mellowed out Donger's pop, damn....0o
the fact that the curb is slanted helps a lot i cant find those anywhere with a nice curve to it. best slappy spot.
Just started learning BS slappies this week. Still don't have it quite down yet though. He's right about sticking, for sure - I got tossed hard a few times from rough ledges.
Hahahaha! Get off your computer and try it! That's exactly what I am going to do now :)
So, 7 years later, whatsup about skate?
This is a trick that looks easy but definitely is dangerous and difficult
Skate tapes 12 can you do it
Dude he was the first real skater I saw in tv jumping over thrash cans in my childhood he literally introduce me in skateboarding

Its actually pretty convenient especially on low based curbs... back in the days they were doing this but with feeble instead of fifty fifty, which is pretty hard but nice to watch...

He look familiar, is he the guy that ollie over an oil drum somewhere around the eighties or even nineties? Vividly remember his long pony tail..?
isn't it basicly a kickturn on to the curb then kickturn off

Wait so they pick the guy that can ollie over 4' chain link fences to teach us slappy's...
Ironic, isn't it? 😁
The only way I can do slappy grinds is a get a really long wooden board and do the slappy motion on the wood board
Learned super quick!

Sweden lacks in painted curbs. Almost all curbs are super coarse too. Gotta go buy a box of wax I guess.
det finns ju lackade 45 graders curbs i garage o skit
antar att du inte bor i sthlm?
Nepp

Unlike 50-50, there is no Ollie involved w/ thus trick. Yeah Donger, Balance in the World of Chaos son!
