Ever since gargitron came out, alot of nextbots has started using its hunting behavior and i gotta say, its terrifying
Imagine Gargitron with Munci and Happy's speed, now that's even more challenging af.

@@kenturesha9779 It's already fast as is tho, it doesn't need angy munci/happy levels of speed, remember it's progammed to toy and scare the player and keep them on edge.
What I love about this nextbot is that slows itself down to "toy" with you, giving you a false sense of security thinking that you can outrun it.

I like when it trolls the player
Short summary, they took gargitron, but added 2 more modes, ambush and rage, after 3 successful escapes, it will turn to rage mode. Ambush mode is where it turns off its sound and hides in a spot and waits for the player to make a mistake and come across them and will start chasing them. Pretty good improvements, and horrific ones too.

The AI seems to have improved but its kinda useless in big areas since its slow but only speeds up in its rage form. It definitely needs improvement but does show signs of progress!

You don't get it. Gargitron is faster than you. In big open area, you can barely get away with run + jump movements. But in maps with corridors, it has to slow down while turning on corners and it's your only way to get some distance from it. That's why that nextbot was created for closed maps.
This next bot AI also has a "toying" mode, which makes it so it intentionally slows down when near you, like in a messing with you kind of way to keep you on edge which might look like it's slow
In open areas like gm_construct, it's harder for it to hide, but it are faster than the player. Its traction is terrible, so if you can turn corners well enough at a high speed you can get away.
It would be really funny if Syghma programmed it such that if it sees the player but the player has its back turned to it, it silently creeps up behind the player and just stands there until the player turns around and sees it, upon which it enters a rage state and begins chasing

@@ugej Yeah, I know the rage mode was already a thing, 3:17 wasn’t really my point since it looked like he teleported behind him and instantly killed him rather than toying with him which was the original idea of the programmer who made this

it appears he also has an ambush mechanic, so he could be hiding in a corner just waiting for you to reach near this corner, so then it can catch you, it doesnt reach near you, it just waits you to just go face to face with it when turning around a corner

Terminus (the nextbot in the video) will enter enraged mode if you manage to escape its chase three times (it will also gain more speed during enraged). But, if you manage to escape enraged, he will become slower as if it’s tired

Gotta say, I like the old face better.
With this new face, it becomes discernible, it’s eyes, it’s mouth, all display clear features and even clear emotion.
The old face however didn’t have any of that, there’s no connection to human context and Gargitron, you had eyes sure, but they had no context to them, the new Gargitron has eyes that imply a sense of insanity, but with the old face there’s none of that, it’s eyes are featureless and completely vague.
So we should change the face but keep it's improved ai?

pretty sure that terminus's scream is a result of the player he's chasing having avoided him atleast 2 times, which will then trigger the scream making him faster and more aggressive

Keep in mind I'm pretty sure I remember something about this one having a kind of playful chase so if you're ever having it easy with this one, it could just be toying with you.
These machine knocks that Nextbot makes when chasing, sound the same as on the channel "I cant sleep"
Fun fact enraged mode will only appear after 3 times of avoiding chase mode so after you avoid it 3 times next time it’s gonna scream/make a lound sound and become a lot faster
the enraged version is legit the definition of "WHEN I SEE YOU, IT IS ON *SIGHT"*

sounds like terminus was in ambush mode (hides somewhere waiting for you to come across it but if you don't find it in time it'll start stalking you again)
I actually been on this map with a nextbot before the old ones have a habit of just jumping up to the window and killing you through the wall
