I just tapped on the front relay fuse on my blower motor and it came on. Thanks so much for the information. It was a big help.

Thank you so much for being concise and to the point! Had a lousy week when my A/C stopped cold! Followed you step by step and lastly tapped on blower and got it blowing!
    Thank you.

Great video, I wiggled the green and black wire and the blower started back up. I'm not sure if the blower wire needs replacing but it's working now. Thanks alot for the video

Thanks for the info! Turned out to be my resistor. Took only 30 minutes to diagnose ,pick up part and install.

Great video, I did all the stuff you recommended but still nothing. All my fuses and relays were good. Ended up being the resister switch for the blower motor . $18 dollar part. Thanks for your video

Good informative video but it needs an important correction. The power comes to the blower motor resistor on the blue wire but it then goes to the motor on the GREEN wire and the BLACK wire is the ground from the motor. This can easily be confirmed by disconnecting the connector going to the motor, then with the key on, use your test light to check the top connector (connected to the green wire). You will find it it has power going to it. The bottom one is the ground connected to the black wire

Great tip, thanks! I just replaced the blower motor and the new one wasn't working. Knocked the relay a few times and it started blowing.... not sure if the old motor was even broken now 🤣 but it did make weird noises before stopping completely. Great video anyway!

I'm afraid mine will be something else. Mine only has front HVAC so 1 relay, I can hear it engage with a click. Swapping for other relay no change. Fuse is OK. Fan wiring seems OK. Need to voltage test next at the fan connections. Fan case bump didn't affect it.
Pretty crazy, it just quit upon morning startup today. Not that I'm surprised, it is 18 years old and 163K miles.

Ok I replaced the Resister didn’t work I have not tried the relays . Now I tapped on the blower motors and he kicked right on so what would you think I should do moving forward to fix the problem so I don’t have to keep freaking tapping my blower motor with a wrench 😂

If your blower doesn’t work and the fuses all right had the blower a couple times with something hard it should work

Quick question. There is no fans at all in the front. I have tested the fuses and relay under the relay box and they test good. Voltage is going to the blower motor resister. However, no speeds work. How would I test if the resister is good?
    Rear fans work well.
Do I just check from each positions ground wire to hot? Because they all show around 13VDC....

My front blower motor does not work on the highest setting. I've changed the resistor, the control panel, tested and swapped the fuses, relays and still nothing. A mechanic said there is a separate fuse just for the highest speed but if there is I can't find it.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks

A vacuum leak or disconnected hose. If the rest of the heater system works normally you may need to pull up the carpet and check for problems with the ducts.

I checked the relay and it looks good, so is the fuse, replaced with other relay and other fuse just to double check, and it didn't solve the problem. I still don't have fulltime power to the resistor input. it's even weirder, it looks like the car think that the blower is already on even when it's off. I can see that cuz the A/C light is on each time I switch the key on. any ideas?

    • @charlenecoutu719
      @charlenecoutu719 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Did you ever solve your problem? I have no ground in the fuse box for the relay switch or a ground for the fuse Both relay and fuse are good. And no power to the resistor either.
Also have other electrical issues Horn and license plate light don't work either. I wonder about the fuse box itself?? Any thoughts?

The relay seems to be working on my 2005....all the levels work and im getting air the bottom hose is warm going through my firewall to the heater core i think it could be my heater core that's not working or is plugged..? any ideas would help

    • @LehewTech

Have you checked your coolant level? Low coolant is the most common cause of no heat. Best to check it after the engine has cooled down.
