I went to the Pen Show on Friday. It’s definitely not as crowded as a Saturday. Wow!!! You purchased some really beautiful pens. Love love the lavender pen holder!!! I’m waiting for the Nodal from Mayfair to be made. I love the shape of his pens, they’re different. Thank you for sharing your haul and especially thanks for the videos with the interviews of the pen makers. Everyone was super nice.
@@darlenewashington9570 Glad you were able to go to the show. It’s a fun experience indeed. You are going to love that pen from Mayfair, it’s so pretty! Thanks for watching and helping out my channel by commenting 💜
I understand what you meant in the video. I avoid crowded places, too. I am glad people were so warm and friendly; that definitely helped. The vendor was so sweet, giving him a good discount; the pen is gorgeous! Wow! All your pens are stunning! Love the colors!
@@cheesim It certainly can be difficult to navigate events like this but it ended up being a wonderful experience. Thanks for the compliment and thanks for watching!
When I bought my MagnaCarta 650 at DC, I inked it and made sure it wrote because I have read stories where there are problems. I was told only to use Sailor, Monteblanc, or Waterman in the Mag 650. I bought a Navahlar Vacations Quebec and it did not write out of the box so I took it back for them to tune. It then wrote with their ink but not waterman. I ended up having Gina Salerino tune it at my expense and it writes like I expected to out of the box (at my expense). Vendors that tuned after sale offered a lot more value to the buyer than those who just tossed a jowo nib on and sent you on your way. Edison Pens, Kanilea, Leonardo were examples of vendors who tuned to your satisfaction before ever leaving with the pen. I am sure there were others. It is disappointing to hear stories about Magna Carta, Navhalar, and Visconti nibs being defective out of the box. So disappointing.
@@TumescentPuma I 1000% agree. I will be sending my pen out to be fixed at my expense. I totally should have wrote with it at the show. I did with all the others, so it’s a bummer I didn’t Check this one when I bought it. Lesson learned indeed. I do primarily write with Sailor inks but for now just so I could use it, I put a different nib on it. It is what makes certain makers stand out to me. Do they tune their nibs? What is their customer service etc. So many horror stories I read after the fact🤦🏻♀️ Why do I always have to learn the hard way🤣🤣😂 Oh well, it’s a rather minor issue in the scheme of life and thankfully a fixable one. Thanks for watching!
@@TumescentPuma Let’s say my customer service experience was less than expected . I don’t want to bash. I understand there can be human error in production. So it will be easier for me to just spend the $ to have it fixed in the States. I would rather deal with it that way, than the stressors of it getting lost overseas.
@@plannermumsy Sorry to hear Magna Carta refused to stand behind their products. Pen enthusiasts should know this and buy from a reputable seller that will take the pen back for issues.

Does Leonardo/salvatore make custom pens for anyone or is there a process that can be shared to get one made?
