Reminds me of "north Scottsdale" 50 years ago -- lots of horse properties and small developments. I'm talking about north of Shea being "north Scottsdale". Yes, as a kid we used to dove hunt just north of Shea.

My Friend Lives Lives a Short Distance over on Bethany Home Rd.She Has Horse Property And Adopts Mustangs and Burros and Trains them so they End Up In Nice Homes . I Help Her Work Them When I Visit February Through April . All Her Surrounding Neighbors Have Horses. Love My Visits . I Also Have Property Over In The Kingman Area Witch I Use For Camping a couple months in winters also. I Love AZ
We have been in Waddell for 2 years, after living in Peoria for 28 years. Love it out here. Have a beautiful view of the White Tank mountains out my bedroom window and have a big backyard but we also have a big pool out there too
how often do you find snakes and scorpions in your house?

Waddell Is My Winter Snow Bird Town For the Past few Years. My Daily Walks Go Right By That Post Office. And That Little General Store Has KILLER Breakfast Burritos ! Right On Man !!

I used to live in the west valley. That area might look like it's "in the country" but it's not. The whole west valley used to be nothing but farms as far as the eye could see. I watched the cookie cutter houses go up over night. That area will be nothing but houses and traffic jams in no time at all. There used to be so many little "country stores" that are now nowhere close to any open country. If you look in the back ground closely, close to the start of the video, you will see the loop 303. That used to be a two lane country road in the middle of nowhere. Now it's a freeway.
my family lived in queen creek back when it was still chandler in the early 90s. My grandpa had 20 some acres and now its nothing but houses I remember it vividly
They Are Building More And More .A Lot Of The Farms Have Sold Out to Developers. I Have Noticed The Traffic Increase Every Visit Since 2016. I Myself Like Quiet, Traffic Wise . Luke Is A Bummer For Noise when I'm Filming Videos , But the Busy Traffic where it was once Not Makes Me Kinda Sad.

Folks are pretty cheap paying out that way..though. I'm used to farm work and love the animals and open range work..dame🤨 $10 bones a hour is a slap in the face..

I actually live down the street from the Out West General Store. You should of got some Thrifty ice cream or tried their nutella milkshake. We generally love the sounds of the jets from Luke AFB.....it's the sound of freedom. Love all of your videos exploring AZ Sup. Keep up the good work.

Love the General Store! Used to be a big deal to take my daughter and her friends there to get hay. They loved getting the Thrifty Ice-cream. Then my grand kids. Great memories.

I'm 5 min from there off ove olive. There is a frys on Greenway and cotton about 10 min from that store lol. Its a cool little store with good fast food for sure.

@@OfficialBigSuper Totally. I am researching AZ as my possible destination for my next move. Loved the Verde Valley and am researching the Flagstaff area as well. That notorious desert heat in Southern Arizona is what keeps me hesitant from totally taking the commitment plunge into the Phoenix/Mesa metro areas...lol.
Big Super I have 5 generations in the State of Arizona, cost of living in Waddell is high, you have acreage and irrigation, however there are many sub divisions now in Waddell, little tid-bit Waddell is part of Peoria. Enjoyed seeing Waddell through someone else perspective

You know the train sound in the beginning of eminems 8 mile. The sound of the jets coming out of Luke Air Force is that same thing to me. I don't live in that side of town anymore. But the sound of the jets is what i miss. When i hear a jet it gives me the feeling of home.
It looks really country out there, Soop. I thought being close to Luke AFB it might be too noisy. But, then again it might not be that bad if you have lived near the airport or the flight pattern of it. Nice tip there Soop! 👊👊👊✌
It is country out this way. Once you get to Perryville Road is when it starts to get a little more country with older homes and small ranches. Then it kind of changes when you get to Verrado.

My sister used to work at the general store😂 they weirdly have really good food and the best ice cream. It’s perfect to stop at when you are riding horses around the neighborhood.
It’s so weird to see the new developments popping up where it used to be all desert.

Y'all waddell is beautiful and the stores are only 15 minutes away. Moved to goodyear in 06 went to highschool with all the waddell kids. It's awesome lots of memories out there

@@MichaelP-ke1tm in my neighborhood we call those types the Alice Kravitz . They'd call the cops if people even worked on their own cars in the neighborhood with no HOA . Their kids are all wound up the same fucking paranoid way.

I'm a landscaper and do some yards in Waddell, its a nice area.
We now have a Safeway, Mc Donald's, Taco Bell, about to build a Safeway gas station and even a Sushi restaurant now on Peoria and Cottonwood! As well way more house then back then.
They are also building Warehouse and manufacturing plants all down the Southern part of the 303.
This video was such a cool find! I currently live in surprise and was house hunting in Waddell buy ended up buying in buckeye. Iim also a volunteer for the conservancy at the white tanks. t was so cool to see the places I frequent show up in this video.
el mirage had these jets all day long flying over ,saw one crash one time .never got used to that noise

My parents built a new house on 181st ave and olive in 2006. Hasn't changed much around there but I like it a lot! I heard it's going to be annexed by either Glendale or Surprise very soon.
Hey Big Sup, respect for your genuine cool style and creative film making. LA boy here, but lived in Phoenix way back when. Those houses are actually too big, unless one has a large family. You know LA, small 2 bdr houses in OK neighborhoods going for 600K. You could handle a network news gig. Regards, JP

Waddell is really nice and the views of the White Tanks are amazing, but there's literally no services out there. No supermarkets, gas, stores you need etc.
10 years ago you came intpo a bar you watch everyone either leave or escort you out. Now everyone has a camera.💞😊

If you drove north on Cotton for 5-10 minutes you would have seen a Frys, Walmart super center, several new car dealerships,
and A bunch of satellite stores. Waddell is not isolated and just secluded enough to offer a good quality way of life.

Nice thing about Phoenix, they allow progress. Not like Albuquerque that wants to stay behind and put in strict zoning regulations.

That kitchen is the exact kitchen layout my parents have. Dad built a house in rio verde. U should check rio verde atea out. Its just past Scottsdale heading in the north east direction

I lived in Waddell AZ 1st time I ever lived in a nice neighborhood I live by the 303 where they built the new wallmart that place will grow before u know it crazy because my dad use to hunt out there and if u are walking in the desert out there be careful because there are still rattlesnakes out there there was a Mojave rattler not to far from our house once in the desert by the neighborhood that could have easily made it to someone’s house also if u have cats and there outside cats they will become the coyotes meal I was walking my dog once at night by the desert and couldn’t c in the desert and all of a sudden I start hearing that sounded like a pack of coyotes doing some kind of yelping howling we were out of there very fast like but I was prepared if they would have attacked us

You passed the Wat Promticom in Waddell. In the 90’s they had the monk murders. They had several monks that were killed. I knew one named Sam. He was friends with my friends mom. I went to high school with the murderer that was let go😫
It's getting built out that way. Homes,strip malls and stores.
Your videos encouraged me to go see beautiful Arizona.... So I selected Sedona but rented a room in cotton wood (10 minutes away) I never experienced racism like I did there. I stayed in my room for almost 3 days. Very uncomfortable vibes and they can kiss my @ss! Never going back.
