i feel like hes underestimating voodoo doll, the power level isnt insane but having a neutral hard removal means it will probably end up in some decks, mages can just ping, (making it assassinate) and you can combine it with whirlwind effects in warrior, or defile
Yeah, it's basically a mage assassinate that can target untarget-able minions. Pretty good in area (as a mage). Also great with warrior and warlock (kill the large minion if you can activate it that turn). Good points.
I think its also good in rogue with backstab. 3 mana kill a minion and combo for 2
This will be in druid decks who lack hard removal. Wrath it and draw a card too
Why would you waste a Backstab on your own Minion? Rogue has Sap and Vilespine Slayer they don't need more single target removal.
Because its a cheaper removal, I mean thats like saying mage doesnt need Meteor cause they have sheep and fireball. Sometimes you cant even target the Minion with spells. Sometimes you use all your removal cause the enemy plays around it.

Or, full on Combo hunter with Young Dragonhawks. With Tundra Rhino, plus 3 buffed Young Dragonhawks and a Timber Wolf, you've got a 33 damage, 9 mana combo that only takes 4 card slots in a deck. With Tolvir Wardens to fetch the smaller minions, and Stitched Trakers to find pieces easier, all you'd need is some ways to survive the early game and tricks to survive the later stages as well. (Quick Edit, 2 Timber Wolves would give 44 damage total.)

I have to disagree on Voodoo Doll (12:34). For Mage, this is basically an Assassinate, with the added flexibility of playing it as a Corruption-like effect. 5 Mana "Destroy a minion." is PRETTY strong. 5 Mana "Destroy a minion and summon a Water Elemental" is VERY strong.
5 mana destroy a minion that cannot be targeted by hero power or spells is ridiculous
I agree. Also means it can destroy divine shield minions that poisonous cannot, like Stoneskin Basilisk which Kripp said he'd pick over Voodoo Doll.
Any low cost removal card is considered very strong. Specially the ones that let you chose any minion target.

Eli Morigeau Does Mage NEED Assassinate though? Granted you get upside after frostlich until it rotates out, but I'm not seeing the deck that prefers this over a piece of spell removal.

Odd mage would use this for sure as outside polymorph and meteor mage has a hard time removing big bodies. I could also see it as a 1 of in other mage decks as well although granted poly-morphing something is generally going to be better.
Eli Morigeau I completely forgot about the all odd cards hero power gimmick. I question whether mage is even the best to do that.
Anthony Landrum I agree its hard to say if that will be a viable archetype, however a 2 damage ping from the start of the game without playing a card is no joke. Also mage got a pretty decent support card in black cat which is by no means game breaking but it is at quite a high power level. It will be difficult to say exactly what will happen but I think overall a neutral minion at 3 mana that any class can use as a removal option is just to promising to say its bad and wont see play. Warlock also loves this and it could help cube since mistress of mixtures is rotating and warlock may want good defile activators. It might take some time for it to find a home but I certainly think it will be encountered on ladder from time to time during its standard cycle.
I think you missed the possible interactions with this new misterious challenger. Play it you get redemption. It dies it and it gets resurrected immediately and pulls another redemption. It gets killed again and it pulls getaway kodo, so you can play it again which pulls another getaway kodo. I'm not sure if it's worth to play other secrets. But that's actually not too bad.

About the Duskbat...The card text just says your hero needs to take damage, it doesn't say it needs to come from your cards (like spellstone) so this is guaranteed to proc on turn 5 if you tap first

Whoa Kripp, chill on the Voodoo Doll underestimation. It's neutral removal. Put it in Warlock, combo it with Dark Pact, and you have a better, cheaper Siphon Soul that ignores “Can’t be targeted by spells or hero powers.”

Voodoo Doll not good? For Arena perhaps, yeah.
As far as constructed goes, I think it's quite decent; a removal for Mage (who pretty much get an Assassinate OR a better Vilespine Slayer, if they are already using DK Jaina) for Warrior it can be combo'ed with its plethora of pingers and it's the "Execute it can run" in Odd-only Warrior. It basically turns any Pinger into an Execute/Vilespine Slayer, depending on the situation.

This card costs 1 the first time you use it, and 2 for the rest.
So at 1 mana, this card is basically a worse swashburgler.
At 3 mana, it is literally burgle.
And you can still generate off the extra value of echo if you have more mana that you wish to spend.
I think this will make it, atleast a bit more balanced?

Shuffle 15 1 mana 3/2 raptors + 3 5 mana 11/11s that each shuffle 15 more raptors into your deck
Plus that minion that gives 1 mana minions poisonous, quest hunter looks genuinely quite powerful
King's Bane needs itself+lifesteal+deadly+deadly+random pirate= 6+ cards (gets resupplied by 3-1 kobolds)
Spectral Cutlass needs itself + deadly + deadly = 3 cards (actually one oil is enough 5atk/2cards)
You can incorp. spectral in deathrattle deck, thief or spell deck more easily (hallucination, burgle, undercity huskler, swash)
Worgen abomination - probably a control warrior card. Synergizes with bloodrazor since you can hold a charge of the weapon on turn 7 and activate the deathrattle
Also it's the easiest classe to reapply 1 damage to all minions, especially considering the warrior deathknight
I think Echo will be meta defining. Druid isn't particularly weak in constructed right now, but it is definitely not top tier. But slap some echo cars into your deck along with khun and aviana, and you're looking at 5 echo minions for the cost of 1 card and 5 mana, and the possiblity to cast some spells. Ramp druids will surely benefit from the new effect.

What do you mean about Voodoo Doll, I can see it being great for Mage. It's a 5-mana "Kill anything even through spell immune" if you ping it after playing it. In that example it's like Mage having something better than Assassinate in arena that's huge.

You play mistewraith in miracle rogue as a 1 of to compliment your echo spell. You can conceal it instead of your gadget if need be and it acts as a second big minion win condition to Edwin. More resilient to AoE that the old 3 drop 2/2 for that slot under conceal. That’s about the best case for it I think. Not a special card but it fills a specific role for that deck. More options is always better. In arena it looks amazing with synergy and trash without. Very high role
Why do i feel like no one thinks about the combo of the new priest legendary: “Lady in the white” together with those card that switch attack and damage when in hand. It makes all of those minions REALLY strong. Like a 3 mana 6/6 rush, or an 8 mana 8/8 divine shield, rush.

I assume that unstable evolution will be changed to an 'echo' card as well (just like old cards that had the same effect have been updated to 'poisonous' ). If so, then Mistwraith could be an extremely strong play in shaman decks.
Voodoo doll and Defile seems pretty nuts to me Kripp, not to mention N'zoth is being rotated so just 1 in a deck is probably a good clear to carry for a surprise. Can only see Voodoo Doll working with Warlock bc the board clears hit everything/minion sacrifice or maybe Hunter for the Rush mechanic.

Dire Frenzy also can go onto DK beast. Imagine 6/6 (boar+hawk) with charge and windfury. Or duskbreaker and charge. Or even stealth minions.
Just imagine having Dollmaster Dorian on the board and then you are able to drop the new 7 mana 6/6 that draws 3 cards. For paladin you could put a tirion, a lifestealing charger and a rush minion on the board while also drawing those 3 into your hand. PRETTY GOOD
Voodoo doll is very good for druid. You can use wrath with that to draw a card and remove a big minion
just imagine you have pick pocket you have preparation in opening hand and PP is 1 card, so you can fill your hand with 10 cards -> vancleef growing mechanic
and dire frenzy on this 2/1 rush minion and hyena op as well
Voodoo Doll looks like it'll be great with Frost Lich Jaina.
If it comes down to it, you can tap on five then play the duskbat.

Bogshaper / Dollmaster Dorian synergy is very interesting. Potential deck defining shaman deck with elemental minion synergy and freeze spell synergy. Not sure about viability, but seems like a fun deck to try out.
I feel like Mistwraith judgment could be misguided. I don’t think it’s always a good (or even possible) play to remove a 4 mana 3/5 from the board on turn 4. Its effect is continuous and with the echo taunt minion, you could have game by turn 6/7 if the opponent can’t respond.
Silver Sword in arena is probably trash. The only situation this card is good is if you’re already winning the board. But if you’re already winning the board, who gives a shit about +1/+1? If you’re losing or even in a 15-15 health scenario, there’s no fucking way I’m equipping this shit on turn 8.
Pick Pocket is REALLY good in arena. If you’re in a slightly losing board state as rouge, you play Pick Pocket to steal a card from your opponents class for an answer. If you don’t get it the first try, you get another. Repeat until you have something you’re satisfied with, use the rest of your mana efficiently and play the card on next turn if you’re not dead yet. Good comeback potential.
Worgen Abomination is a GREAT card. Card let’s you trade shitty minions for better minions and score the kills with the 2 extra damage. End of turn effects are normally fairly powerful in the game and have to be dealt with before spiraling out of control.
Deathweb Spider is insane against aggro decks. If ur able to damage yourself (blood witch/ 1 drop / hero power) you essentially gain 4 health, make a favorable trade against a small minion, and gain 4 life. Shitty players might not deal with this card first by hitting face for their initial attacks, granting this card lifesteal lol.
In wild, splitergraft would be another part of some aviana kun combo.
Worgen Abomination + my (favorite card of all time) Flame Leviathan for the fun!
What we need to know is if the minion shuffled by frenzy will keep its other buffs too. If it does, this card is instantly viable.

Splinter dream combo. Splinter onto an Arcane Tyrant and then play Ultimate Infestation turn 10. Draw Five, Deal Five, Armor Five and get a 15/15 Split between two cards.
The rushing switch cards can be very good with Lady In White
Dire Frenzy is what I needed to finally make my Hunter Quest deck viable! :D

Sick combo: play The Darkness, wait for it to activate, play Splintergraft into activated Darkness. There you go, 10 mana 10/10 Darkness. Balanced

kripp! mage ping + voodoo doll = 5 mana polymorph + ping sheep (doesn't silence the minion). That's pretty good.

With the puppet and Jaina DK activated..you can kill a minion and create an elementary for 5 mana it's quite well. But keeping a 3 drop minion for that..yeah maybe it doesn't worth
Dire Frenzy + Hunting Mastiff = three 2 mana 5/4 rush echo beasts you can easily flood the board with.

Totally agree with Kripp. Glass knight is a solid card, and it isnt part of a degenerate deck. Hopefully other classes get more quality cards like this.

Harvard University so you want to run 2 happy ghouls and 2 voodoo doctors in your deck, play the happy ghoul (3/3stats ) when you have 7 mana, expect it to survive 1 turn ,then splintergraft it on the 8 mana turn OR when you have 10 mana , play the happy ghoul for free with a voodoo doctor and immediately splintergraft it and then play it ????? Either way it is too much hassle for a 10/10 that does absolutely nothing. You will be wasting 2 turns setting up a minion which can be easily silenced or hard removed by a control deck and aggro decks would run you over long before you even complete half of the steps. So no , I don't see how it can work out. Arcane tyrant is a better target since some druid decks already run them and they can be easily activated

do you think bog shaper with doll master dorian and malygos is too unlikely? cause i could see the goal being having bog shaper last a turn then playing or drawing from bog shaper doll master into drawing malygos spamming spells and if you get the shaman spell stone and put three copies of maly being a fun meme deck
He misread the power of Pick Pocket. Compare it to Arcane Intellect. 3 mana, draw 2. Sprint is 7 mana, draw 4. It's 1 more mana to draw the same amount of cards, but the cards are random from your opponent's class. You're not pushing yourself to fatigue, and you can get serious answers to what your opponent is playing off of cards like this. Swashburglar was an insanely powerful card specifically because of this effect.
Turn 10 or later, Volcanosaur + Dire Frenzy would be pretty powerful.
Gilnean Royal Guard could have been more. Like when you play it as 3/8 it gets taunt and when you play it as 8/3 it has rush. Both versions have divine shield. This would make the card much more usable.

Voodoo doll makes mage stronger in arena. It's effectively an assassinate (a solid arena card) being added to mage, but instead it's more versatile. 5 mana play the doll and ping.

The only way to play splintergraft is either to use a mountain giant so it costs 2 less for +2/+2, or heal, play a happy ghoul, and then splintergraft it to get a free 10/10. Yeah, it sucks.
