SNSD, Big Bang, 2NE1, Super Junior (Sr), SHINee, After School, Brown Eyed Girls, Sistar, T-Ara, 4 Minute, Wonder Girls, Beast (ba2st), were the ones who made a certain set of synths and frequency ranges a popular sound. I feel like we started to discover sub 300hz ranges with gen 3 - or maybe just our expectations with audio fidelity improved over time. I think I would put Girls’ Day songs in gen 3 however.

2nd gen is when I first started listening to Kpop! Definitely had a different vibe back then! For one, they didn't feel the need to throw a hip hop verse into every song.

The 5-member TVXQ was the first Kpop boy band I stanned. I was heartbroken when Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun left. So glad to see a song from those days besides Mirotic get some love.

On the opposite, my impression is still strong when I see the cut about DBSK - "mirotic". (I know the event about changing the name of that SM boy group, but to me, I still prefer the old name DBSK.) Since then, I have fallen in love with Hallyu, falling in love with 3 big giant entertainment for their idol groups at the 2nd generation. Thanks to the KBS world channel, I got to know more outside the stage., know more idols, both in group-sub-unit, and solo-ish. And sometimes, with the Mnet countdown, I get to know more idols from other entertainment companies. -> About MBLAQ and SS501... they faded fast... I still do not see 2AM. I know 2AM specialist is about ballad but should we count 2AM as the 2nd generation too??? thank you for doing the video. I wait for the second part. Fighting!
