Yoooooo!!!! I’ve seen other videos on the Reloop Flux, but the details they missed, you hit them and made me understand it so much better, thanks Ratsy! I just picked up the Reloop Flux and I’m going to use it with a set of SL-DZ1200’s and a DJX700 mixer from Behringer for free and hopefully cd or sd card timecode. Really nice review!
@@djkit I finally got my sl-dz1200’s to work! Thanks for your expertise! Now I just need to work setting details so I can run them properly on Serato etc.
@@tuneroneffI’m really enjoying it! But I may be investing in an S5 to mess with cue buttons, but I’m glad I got the Reloop Flux working for both Serato and Rekordbox.
I have an old SL box that I use with my ancient 12 inch Mac! I gave up a long time ago because my gear was “obsolete”. When I pick this up, I’ll “modern” again! Thanks for the details on it!
Well …you definitely need to update your Serato because the boxes new firmware runs off the new version of Serato. So it’s not like you can run this with scratch live. Lol plus your computer OS can’t be old too. But your mixer and turntable can be old though. You just need line inputs on your mixer and phono or line out on your turntable or CDJ
Great review, takes me back in time +10 years ago when dealing with all these cables when you have to plug a dvs box in a cramped DJ booth was horrible,😅
I know i’m being cheeky but i wonder if they’ll stretch it to active 4 channel. So that the really really tight gits can use everything with the 4 deck mode. I have a discontinued mixars quattro with time code cd’s and vinyl, but it would open the door to gettin nice vintage mixers for 4 channel mixing
Just got this to replace my SL3. The only let down was that I have to press a button on the interface to switch to pass through. On the SL3 it was done in the software.
Just picked up the reloop flux for my rane62 and turntables to run dvs. Been a total nightmare! Reloop is playing back really distorted and not playing vinyl when in through mode. Turntables play fine when pugged straight into the mixer. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don’t want to go backward and get serato 2.5 just to use my mixer.
Every blue moon I get invited to something that involves serato, I try to avoid it, but this looks like a solutions instead of buying a controller, can this this thing stay connected to power without a laptop so I can use the passtroughs?
This thing is very well built. I been using it for a few months now and i do like it. However, I wish Reloop can upgrade it to support djay pro. It works with djay pro but the movements of the knobs on the external mixer doesn't show the movements in djay pro
Yes, Mojaxx said it works in his video review. He shows it in the video. I bought one today to use with my iPad, MasterSounds Radius 4 and my Technics SL-1200 MK2s.
@@DJChrisArgueta i bought one a few days later, rarely use it but works well. It was just the slight delay i kept getting that i had to figure out, by opening up the app before plugging in the device.
This is the reason why Ive gone back to Virtual DJ after using Serato for 6 years gigging. Its too restrictive costing you more money and limiting choices. £400 to buy a bit of kit because Serato decided to declassify hardware. VDJ is compatible with everything including Rane SLs and never declassify hardware.
Word up, serato is turning in to Apple 🍎 in that they're a retailer now and don't care about legacy equipment. And then there's the piddly effects and feature limitation based on hardware or subscription is total BS
My Denon DS1 Serato box works fine but I also haven’t upgraded to the newest version of Serato. Do you know what’s the latest version of Serato I can use the DS1 with?
The latest one works great. 3.x ...,6..or something like that. i think its the latest. Dont like too much the sound of the ds1, but it works ok for clubs. I like the sound of the reloop elite. :D. Well, the only downside is that you dont have post fader effects, better to get a cheap serato enabled mixer, than the reloop flux. Mixars or numark will do fine.
@@TransformMc Hi, for what i know, you can use the internal traktor FX on your real vinyl, on the mic (live input), or into a phone or cd input, but as a send/ return for external effects i believe not.
Not true. Horses for courses. If you use Serato and have a badass analogue mixer you might need one of these. IMO reloop rocks for doing this. Modular is better for the environment. Better for creativity. Burn thousands on new kit. Fill your tech graveyard with perfectly good kit that got phased out by money makers.
@@cholly4288 Hi, you got a point, but how many analog mixer users are? ... i think not too many and for the cost... I say that thinking about the average dj :D. If we think about the environment, bettter to get a SL or a ds1, there are plenty and very cheap. But i fully understand what you mean, really.
@@GroundBeatDe you'd be shocked how many club venues i go to that don't have serato clubkit compatible mixers; saves me lugging my controller everywhere. just ordered one.
@@coryverses Hi, i use the "old" ds1 for the same purpose :D. That was the first thing i posted here, sort of (Unlock, backup). :D. But my point is... for 400€ ..uf, i really preffer a small serato mixer and carry it.
I would love to see a video showing this interfacing with other dvs softwares like rekordbox ect!
Dude this is huge, thanks for the breakdown. I was really curious about what this this really does. Awesome bro

Still have my Rane 68 and Mohave OSX. Original platform of Scratch live and SL boxes with my Rane MP-2016 rotary. Still a great Original DVS made

Everything in Serato works the same with this box? You can still record?

Is this soundcard recognized by Rekordbox?????

Can you use this with just the flux + laptop/ipad + mixer? And do the work of the turntables/cdjs on the laptop/ipad?
Why theres no RCA cable or power cable in the box ?

how old is that macbook pro you're using and what version of Serato is that?
Can you use stems with it

Does it work with Ventura 13.14.1 ?
