When it comes to coolant color, I agree with the video that the color is not important. The only important thing is the content/additives. When I discovered a leak in my 2007 Toyota Sienna on a Sunday morning, I opened the owner's manual and went do the parts store and picked an aftermarket coolant called (Valvoline Zerex for Toyota) I just wanted to buy the coolant that matches what is mentioned in the manual, which doesn't say anything about color, it just happened that it was a matching color.
Thanks for sharing and whatever you're comfortable with! Also if you have a leak, adding coolant won't fix it. Have your radiator and water pump checked out.
@@hardlymovingpro I wanted first to trace the leak source, few drops on the floor for a day then nothing. After a couple of top offs, I found it. It was the upper right side of the radiator. That's why it was hard to trace, So, I ordered a Denso radiator from Rock Auto and all is good now.
I like AutoZone universal coolant because it is silicate free. Less chance of blowing a head gasket in an older car where you don't know it's history. I'm probably wrong but my 2 cents added to the conversation.
Believe today's OAT coolant is both borate and silicate free. In the older coolants those anti corrosion additives would fall out of solution resulting on coolant sludge hence the need to do coolant change and flushes.
Great tip,I have put more than half a million miles on the synthetic Walmart oil and use it in all my small 4 stroke engines. Good inexpensive stuff.

I'd agree but people want the manufacturer's matching color scheme. Different colors is a big scam ... IMHO.
My Ford takes gold but I like the Dex cool orange color. It's easy to see the level from outside.
