Not sure how this ended up in my algorithm but, look - This feeling you're describing most likely comes from the intertia of your world evolving. You were a kid once, your world was small - you become an adult, your world gets relatively larger - but this is where we tend to fall behind in our ambitions. Were caught, trapped, in our (as you said) first world problems, the endless chasm of choice, the weir of responsibility and societal expectations.... You've got to scale the universe proportionally as you grow. Learn, experience, understand. These are the tenets of what I'm trying to tell you. Your sense of wonder is tied to the upper limits of your internal atmosphere. Keep growing - our true place of belonging is in the stars anyway.
The way you describe adulthood is the way I would describe my adolescence. Maybe you feel empty because you've been in your comfort zone for too long, and are seeking joy in the things the teenage you would've enjoyed? When have you tried something outside your comfort zone that adult you has always wanted to try? Idk, I couldn't sit through this entire video lol. But I hope you realize that your childhood wad probably not as rosy and full of fun as you picture, and as an adult you're freer than you know. Good luck man

I feel in a similar way, like if i have to wear a mask all day until i get home, and then i can remove it and be my selft, a have been working for 1 year, got a promotion, got my driver's license, bought my 1st bike, now that i list it isn't a few thing but at the same time i don't feel that is much, sometimes i feel that I'm falling behind, and it is scary
As you probably already know, you're not alone with how you feel. It's funny listening to how you speak about growing up, it sounds so similar to long conversations in the night with my best friend and how much we would reminisce. I also miss being a kid, I'm not sure if there's any way in really preparing someone for how life tends to make us feel once our childhood ends and how much larger our world gets when we enter "the real world." I think for me, I still don't know what truly makes me proud of myself and as result, I've felt very aimless in my life since the end of high school, despite all my hard work. I have nothing to be proud of yet and for much of the time I feel like I'm just going through the motions of what I'm supposed to be doing in life instead of what I actually could be happy doing. It's good to remember it's a marathon, not a race, and that anything's possible while we're still alive. I hope to never completely give up that spirit of being a kid, as I think that is a lot of what keeps us who we are inside.
@@talkingwetnoodles since you clearly play L4D, I can recommend Killing Floor 2, you can play it solo, download hundreds of workshop map and there is an endless mode. But I don´t see any problems with sticking L4D, depends on how badly you need something new xD
Growing up is a bit of a necessary slap on the cheek. Does it suck?, definitely. But also can be eye revealing and beautiful in its own way. Change and growing up doesn't have to be all bad or worse, some are late bloomers (hi,lmao) others keep blooming. Do I miss some stuff I used to do pre COVID for example?, hell yeah. But I also learned to appreciate my time and explore stuff I never thought I would, and that came to happen she me growing up. Do I miss playing Monster Hunter 3 with the 4some that teach me how to play? Hell yeah. But life happens, I probably won't see them ever again. I do appreciate the memories (In case you guys read this, hi, it's me Basher from MH 3 tri in the Wii) Nowadays I try things I never thoughts before, and while I do have to thinks other worries, I try not to be too overcome by it. I am adult,I can dress (reasonably) however tf I want for example
if i would be a total asshole i would troll you and say "yo i remember you, we haven't played in years how about we play again after all these years" but i guess i wont cause i know how it feels like when you play with your internet friends one day and dont realize this might be your last day
yeah you can dress however you want as an ADULT but what of you hit your 40's and you still want dress like a TEENAGER? cus im forced to be dressed very basic as a teenager and i dont like that, i got no cash to buy my own clothes myself and when i hit my twenties its gonna be too late to y know dress up, get some chicks and go out skate
