Made this for the first time. Followed this recipe to the letter. Tasted fantastic. Only difference was, at the end mine looked a lot paler than yours. Nothing that a pinch of orange colouring couldn't fix. Will be doing more of your recipes, and really looking forward to doing so
This maybe a bit long winded but please bare me. I used to live in Dublin but moved outside (about 30 miles) 17yrs ago. Where I lived in Dublin there was an Indian takeaway that made the best butter chicken I had ever tasted. It was so delicious that I asked where the chef that made it had moved to, and they told me. Luckily enough he was in driving distance so my longing for his creation was still alive. Then I moved. And it took me up until this evening 19/07/2020 to find that exquisite taste I have missed and longed for so much. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for uploading your video. You are an absolute genius and I will be forever grateful. Thank you Syed, thank you so much ♥️
Bit late to the show. Can you substitute coconut milk powder for coconut powder? I know that milk powder is used as a thickener, in the main; milk powder seems easier to get hold of. Thanks
Curious. Did you ever get an answer to this question? I just bought coconut milk powder, which is what I thought I was supposed to buy. Desiccated seems to be just shredded coconut meat, which he said you CAN use, but you should use POWDER. Is powder referring to the coconut milk powder, or a powdered version of the meat?
@@ItsNot4Everyone I didn't to be honest. Using coconut milk powder seems to be ok. From what I've read elsewhere, desiccated coconut obviously feels very 'grainy' in the mouth, so I should imagine it would spoil the enjoyment of this recipe. I've stuck to coconut milk powder, as it is easier to get
Single cream is a richer version of milk. you can buy a single cream from any supermarket. there is two types. single or double. don't use double cream.

What is single cream? I’ve never seen it :)

I think it’s around 20% butterfat cream
Needs fenugreek
you don't add fenugreek on butter chicken
Britishian Food I thought it was. Maybe for makhani?
