Also love the current quilts you are working on, and will be looking forward to seeing them finished. I felt sorry for you having to go to work when you looked like you were tired. Whenever I do not feel like I can pick up my stitching...I hear your voice saying...just pick it up and put a few stitches in. And I do...and then the next day...I do it again.. and before I know it...I am back to stitching again. So thank you for that!
Love the Abbey Rose yule tide sampler.. I too need to stitch my birds and hive.. my blocks will be finished today.. so happy with our quilt.. I was also wondering about the cherries am almost convinced no just do the bees..we'll see... .

You can use dress makers transfer papers. And place the transfer paper on top of your appliqué then put the appliqué place paper on top of that and draw on the lines. The dress makers transfer paper come in all kinds of colors in the package. Or you can tape your placement paper on a window and the your appliqué on top of that and you should be able to still see the design to transfer it. Hope that helps

I think the skep looks good the way it is because it would look like an older and used by the bees skeps. Just something to think about. There are cherries that are like a yellow/peach tone I think they are grown in Washington. I've seen them in the grocery store. I found a nice thrift store find like a square bowl on a stand the kind you'd seen in an old painting with fruit. So I'm going to paint it with black chaulk paint and display some summer pin pillows in it. I just finish stitching a pinker punkin & quilting free chart pumpkins, corn and chicks. She has a cute bee one too and so many other nice patterns too. I'm stitching into fall from my wips and a few bee things for August. Have a nice week. Bonnie... Always fun to see what you’ve been working on!! I’ve decided to put down Miss Baxter’s House until I finish Deer Heart by Kathy Barrick. It seems to be working. I’m making great progress and I already have a frame for it. I love the beehive quilt. I personally love the stitching on the beehive. I like that it’s not perfect but looks natural. I don’t believe beehives are made in factories😊😊 Anyway, the border is going to be beautiful! Can’t wait to see if finished!!!!

It’s not on the beach but less than 5 min and we are on a large canal that we kayak on or take our pontoon boat out on, but today I worked on Sweet Tomato by the Scarlett House. I bring several smalls to work on so in case I get bored, I have options! Hope you are suffering too badly with the heat🥵 where you are. Good reason to stay in and stitch - if you have a day off🤩

I’m awaiting the return of my Yuletide on Thistle Hill from the framer. I splurged and sent three pieces to Total Framing, one being Yuletide, and they should be back any day now. I’m with you on the whole garden thing. Out West it is hard to grow things during the summer. I have large pots that my husband has wired our irrigation system into. Currently only chives survives. We did have lettuces which cane back last spring so I’m hesitant to disturb those pots. I just don’t use herbs as much as I should with the watering they take. We have flowering perennials in ground but things in pots always die if we go out in our trailer. I have physical issues which do not make bending and stooping, as it takes to plant things, a pleasant experience. I do better stitching flowers! lol I’m plugging away on my WIPs and it looks like you are too! 😊🧵🪡✂️♥️

Good morning, Lisa. I was visiting with you this morning while on the front porch stitching. We've been having some gorgeous weather, not to hot or humid. I love all the stitching but the quilt top is stunning. Go to the stitch in! It's a little scary to go to that stuff by yourself (especially for me) but once I'm there it quickly turns into a fun event.
