    Diagnosed with GBS this past December. Have been recovering since January, I think. So, about 6 months now. Feel way better than I did 6 months ago. I can run again. I have returned to jiu jitsu and can roll for 30-45 minutes and feel pretty good. Still have a lot of sensory issues and sometimes misplace my feet. It's weird. Keep strong, folks. Scary stuff.

      @@NoEggCraig Hi Craig! I didn't expect to get a response from you. Thank you for the well wishes. I'd say I'm 90%+ back to normal. Still some weakness in feet and hands. I still struggle to play my guitar. But I'm hopeful that will come back soon. Either way, I'm thankful for where I am now. Your videos have really been helpful to me. When I was struggling emotionally with all this you helped give me hope. Thank you, Sir! You have, and are, doing a good thing here.

    My case progressed for 9 months until I had a diagnosis and started treatment. I’m on my 23rd month of recovery. I can move.. not at 100% but my illness got worse before there was any recovery for the first 5 months, I still get sore feet but it doesn’t last long. Stay strong!! It gets to your mind too when you feel like there’s no progress.. 1mm a day

    I have GBS for 10 months now and it is better,but its kind of spreading through.First it attacked my legs,and thats how I first ended up in the hospital.It spreded till my knees,my arms, whole back,my shoulders,and my chin muscles.Its starting to spread up my knees and hips now.I'm a bit scared but I hope it won't spread through my whole body.A doctor told me I will have to do surgery for my hips if it spreads through my whole hips and it does scare me.Thanks for the story/video!I hope you recovered!

    arul kartik I can't reply directly to your comment because of your google+ settings, but I personally went through I believe 7 IVIG treatments in the span of roughly 6 weeks before I started to notice a difference, but everybody is different, and generally speaking the longer between onset of symptoms and actual treatment, the longer it will take for treatment to start working. I have experienced numbness, tingling, weakness and sensitivity to pain. I don't see why you can't be sexually active! But ask your doctor just to be sure. Make sure you get enough sleep to recover, stay positive and surround yourself with positive people, drink lots of water, and be consistent with your physical therapy. But what has helped me the most besides medical treatment was actually going vegan. I am now medication free because of veganism and have actually been improving even faster since going vegan. My neurologist is always shocked at my recovery whenever I see her, and she just tells me to keep doing what I'm doing because it's working! If you're interested I already have quite a few what I eat in a day videos on my channel as well as many recipe videos. Give them a watch and let me know if you have any more questions!

      Craig my brother's wife has CIDP and I think you could give us pointers as how to better fight this. We are doing most of what you stated in your videos but are unsure of certain treatments. My brother has face book and we will try and contact you via that media. I think after a short conversation with you we would be able to better combat this better than what we are doing now. We have already modified her diet and she gets IVIG's along with prednisone. It has been slow progress and it seem like we hit a brick wall. Thanks for all your videos and all the best.

      No Egg Craig. Dear sir, My brother wife has been diagnosed with gbs after doing NCV test by neurologist.dhe got treated with 5 IVIG treatment for 5days and she come back to home with improvement and started slightly walking with support but almost a month passed she felt weakness and lesser improvement and a bit reversed lesser movements of walking and in hands. We also hire after that physiotherapist for exercises daily. This one grade decrease in movements even getting good improvements started after IVIG treatment cause concern for us.Hoevever she experienced chest infection not very high as due to cold weather and winter season during that period. However she is recovering very slowly.Neurologist puts her on steroids and other medications.This type of reverse improvement can be due to chest infection or it can be a part of healing process of gbs. Also MRI reports of brain and spine done before IVIG treatment done was normal.pl. confirm this is to concern or not? and whether we should do what we are doing as normal for gbs treatment

    Hey there. How many MG did you start on with prednisone and was it based on your weight. Also, after how long did you start seeing results? Were you on IVIG and prednisone at same time? I think in one of your videos I believe you said you were.

    • @NoEggCraig
      @NoEggCraig  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      depaulguy1984 60mg. it wasn't based on weight as far as I know. I was on pred and IVIG at the same time so it was hard to tell exactly when the Prednisone started kicking in.

      Nope, I used to get it weekly, then once every 2 weeks, then 3, then 4 until I went every 6 weeks and then my neurologist decided that I didn't need it anymore and I've been medication free for almost 9 months now and I'm still improving every single day because of lifestyle changes, mainly by going vegan.

    • @NoEggCraig
      @NoEggCraig  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends how bad it got, I'm not 100% recovered, but even still I competed in a my first triathlon last summer and can squat, deadlift and bench over my bodyweight and I also climbed a mountain all by myself 2 years ago! And back in 2012 I was using either a wheelchair or forearm crutches to get around!
