I made up a story,, dont take it serous ...during predebut seventeen mingyu and wonwoo were really close, wonwoo always cling to mingyu and mingyu started develop feelings for wonwoo but wonwoo is genius except in love so he dont understand mingyu..after debut mingyu decided to forget his feeling ..as for wonwoo he start getting jealous and start to realize his feelings for mingyu..but they are bothhave their pride especially wonwoo ..he is always panic when fans ship them..so he act like he didnt want it..but not really. Mingyu on the other hand wait for wonwoo to show it..also mingyu is sometimes angry when wonwoo talk abt past but never really mention their time\moment
Yes, I also agree with you, it's just my opinion, don't take it seriously, predebut, they two were really close, wonwoo don't like skinship and interaction between men but he's ok with mingyu, but after debut, fans noticed both of them and their interaction, Wonwoo don't like kind of this and he doesn't like being shipped, that's why he made boundaries between members, especially mingyu, and he's introvert and quiet boy, he likes isolation from the people,he likes being alone, after time passed, he's more quiet than he used to be. He wants to look cool and don't wanna express his feelings mostly sad ones. He doesn't like crying in front of people. He put a mask that he's strong enough to endure this struggles. For him and mingyu, I think there may be something between them during predebut. But they didn't know what it was because they were too young at that time and most of the teenager boys don't like calling gay. After debut, they're more mature than the past and they know what they are doing. Especially,wonwoo, he set boundaries around him and everything is happening in his mind. That's the process that every introvert faces with, at least one.
I don't ship these 2 (actually, I don't ship kpop idols together at all and I'm not hating-Bc don't get me wrong, they do look cute together. I just don't ship.) But I watch ship videos bc I like to see their friendship :3
