Such gorgeous snowmen. I can honestly say that I have never heard of tobacco sticks. I wish I had just a touch of your thought process when you create such beautiful projects. Thank you Lisa.
I’m from Kentucky and we have raised tobacco most all of our lives and what the stick is used for is that when the tobacco is grown and gotten bigger you chop the tobacco down and then you put your tobacco sticks down then there’s a sharp pointed spear that you put on the top of the sticks and you slap the tobacco onto the stick then you haul it all in and house it in the barn and when it’s dried / cured we strip it off of the stalk and bail it and then when it’s all done you take it all to the tobacco warehouse and tobacco company’s come in and bid on it and buy it and that’s where cigarettes , cigar’s and any tobacco products come from . It’s actually a very hard job but the money comes in handy to pay your bills and things .
Love all your lovely creative ideas ❤TYSMFS! Tips..once u get your assembly line put glue in a small bowl so u do not have to keep 😢squeezing bottle. Just apply with finger or brush! Also paint bottom and sides of all wood slices in one go, then glue on cork and paint tops!🎉....grandkids love these❤and you!
They are adorable. Another option for snow is to mix white craft paint with baking soda. I use this often. Mix as much and as thick as you need. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here :)
Que belleza, me encantaron. Yo no tengo madera pero puede ser con los envases tetrapak y para el sombrero tapas se me ocurre 🤔 gracias por la idea. Un abrazo
How adorable is he? Great tutorial, easy peezy! Loving the primitive crafts more and more thanks to you. What’s great is that you don’t have to be fussy or precise, that’s the beauty of primitive art. So understated but you get the gist of what it is.Thanks so much for bringing it to our attention.
AGAIN???? The ideas you come up with are amazing and so different. These are adorable, going to make some for my daughters country themed tree❤️❤️ Thank you so much for sharing your creative ideas and God bless.

Tobacco sticks are long sticks they use to hang big tobacco leaves on for them to dry. They are just sticks and they get aged and folks like to use them in crafts
Snowmen & snowladies are my weakness I just love them Need to head downstairs to the workshop before he does a cleanup & chuck out. What is Tobacco stick is it easy to come by? Take care.
I'm 74 and my family had a small crop of tobacco every year. One summer I was visiting when they were harvesting. My cousins and I put the leaves on the sticks. I much prefer using the sticks for snowmen. These are so charming. I have made something similar, but your version is the best I have seen. These are definitely on my to do list! What do you charge for these?
Love all your projects Lisa, I’ll be making these cos I like them so much and my grandsons can join in if they wish. I have never heard of tobacco sticks though. Are they a different sort of wood??? I have a feeling that😅 my house this year or next year is going to be filled with snowmen made out of all sorts of items. Thanks for the inspiration. TFShave a week filled with blessings.
It figures. I get rid of a box of corks because I didn’t know what to do with them. Lol what’s a tobacco stick? I’m from the north. Is it to hold up the plant?

I love these. I actually had to look up tobacco sticks and I sure wish I could find some. But being in Ohio I highly doubt it! Thanks Lisa 😍🎄☃️
A lot of tobacco was raised in Ohio you may put a request on Facebook or Craigslist and you should be able to find some
@@karenzepeta6473 Thanks
Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. If you don’t find tobacco sticks, you could use a 1x2 firm stripping.

Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. It is used in hanging tobacco to dry. Most old barns will contain some😉

Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. I don’t know of anyone who has fond memories of working in tobacco😉
@@ourshabbycottage8553 Well, I was 12. My cousins and I actually didn't work too long, but we still were proud we could help.
These are so adorable. Thank you so much for sharing. Your such a blessing! How do you price them?
Just $5 each.
Hi Lisa I have tried to find the video segment of Tongue Depressor Snoman.I watch on Utube on mobile phone and Roku. Thanks
I couldn’t find it either so I did it again in my last video of the hangtag tree ❤️🙂
Love all your projects Lisa, I’ll be making these cos I like them so much and my grandsons can join in if they wish. I have never heard of tobacco sticks though. Are they a different sort of wood??? Lol thank you sweet friend. They are maybe close to the material of old barn lumber.
Oh my goodness, how adorable! Did you say you use burnt umber for the nose?
Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. I used burnt orange but you can add brown to orange to get this.
Those snowmen are so cute! Can you estimate the size of the wood rounds? 2 to 3 inches? It’s hard to tell how big anything is on camera.
Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. They are about 1-1/2 inches round.
I think if you put a few in a old wooden bowl that would look nice
That is a good idea!
It figures. I get rid of a box of corks because I didn’t know what to do with them. Lol what’s a tobacco stick? I’m from the north. Is it to hold up the plant?
I don't know what they are either, lol. I'm from Colorado 😆
Tobacco dries while hanging from a stick.
Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. Anna is correct. I get rid of things all the time and then regret it but we can’t keep everything🙂
I don’t know what Tobacco sticks are? Guess I will have to look them up too
Me either 🤔
When tobacco is picked from the field it is hung on the stick to dry.
Anna is correct😉
What are tobacco sticks
They are used by tobacco farmers😊❤️
Tobacco sticks?
They’re used by tobacco farmers❤️😊
What in the world is a tobacco stick?
A stick that tobacco picked from the field is hung from to dry.
@@itsannasimon3080 Thank you for replying. I live on the western plains. That is what I thought you were using in the video, I just wasn't sure. 💕
Anna is correct❤️😉
I like what you do but I just can’t handle your whinny voice. Sometimes it’s worse than others
❤️
🤍🤍🤍. Now I need me some barn lumber 🤍🤍🤍
