  • We take the Golden Circle Tour on our port call in Reykjavik, Iceland.
It was great. We booked it online through Gray Line Iceland. It was €68 ($73 US).
It lasted about 7 hours. We visited 3 of Iceland's most famous sights:
Gullfoss Waterfalls, Geysir Hot Springs and Thingvellir National Park.
This was recorded in August 2022.

We are spending time in Reykjavik next month before a cruise and are doing this tour...it looks great, glad we chose it! The scenery is gorgeous and I'd love to see the Icelandic horses...maybe not so much the poop!

Was to Iceland on a repositioning cruise a number of years ago and we only saw Reykavik and some geysers.

We found that Iceland is much more picturesque in the north near Akureryi. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

Happy Father's Day Gareth! Well done vlog. Such a beautiful waterfall and love the geysirs footage! I'm so glad you guys finally got your luggage. Was this the first time you guys have experienced having an airline lose your luggage? I would love to see a vlog on how you deal with that situation. If it ever happened to us, I wouldn't want to let it upset us so much that it ruined our cruise. I know you can buy some new clothes on the ship, but they don't have everything..like undergarments right?

You are correct. They didn’t sell underwear or socks. We bought very expensive underwear and socks in Port in Cobh. We stripped down to our birthday suits, put on robes, and went down to the self-serve laundromats and washed all our clothes a couple of times. We definitely didn’t let it ruin our cruise. Princess was very good about giving us $250 to buy essentials in the gift shops. Also, someone in the gift shop gave us jackets. How to go from the cruise terminal to reach Grayline bus tour to golden circle?
Which pick up point we need to choose?
    Thank you

It depends on which dock your ship is at. On our cruise. We had to take a shuttle bus over to another dock where all the tour buses were. They gave us directions on board. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.

Not sure how much they covered on the tour but thingvellir is important because it’s where the first independent Icelandic law was set forth. I believe it was every year or every few years the thing (law keepers) would stand on a large rock with the whole population around and recite the law from. Memory-including any new laws that had been adopted since the previous recitation. therefore thingvellir national park imortalizes that important piece of Icelandic history. I wonder if the rock everyone was standing on was the rock where the Althing took place? Possibly. Also interesting factoid-in ancient Iceland while the law setting was down to just a few wealthier citizens, anyone could make a complaint or suggest a law or punishment, but it was up to the citizens themselves to uphold the law and the punishments. Meaning someone could be sentenced to have their hand cut off for example but it was up to the persons community to actually follow through. Most likely banishment was more prevalent then any corporal punishment though.

It's a soundtrack we created and use in many of our videos. Probably should have gone with something else. Thank you for your comments and thank you for subscribing to our channel.
