I've been with them since 2017 and gone through years of disappointment after disappointment, with some of it being downright shady. Seeing them win is overwhelming. I know very well how hard they worked, always having to be better dancers and better singers than everyone else and still being ignored. They're finally getting the attention they should have gotten years ago and seeing them happy creates such warm feelings and some tears. The upside of all that struggle is that they are exceptionally skilled and, maybe more importantly, it's created a bond within the group of the kind you usually only see among soldiers who have been in battle together. Thanks to their new contracts they'll be together for many more years. Going their separate ways would be too cruel.
I'm so happy to see that they resigned. It really seems like girl group in kpop have a very fast turn over and it's very disheartening to see. One of the reasons why I love DC so much is because their bond, hard work and constant drive is so apparent! I'm so happy to have found them and they deserve all the love and recognition possible!
Huang Sooyeon is Dreamcatcher Company's Performance Director and, along with her dance crew, performs as a backup dancer when Dreamcatcher needs them. For this comeback they weren't needed, so she's in France on vacation with her choreo team. You can usually recognize her because she has long red hair and so far she's never changed the color. She wanted to be an Idol but was eliminated on the survival show Produce 101, and then joined Dreamcatcher Company around the time of Deja Vu. The sudden uptick in the quality and intricacy of Dreamcatcher's choreo at that time was due to her.
FUN FACT: Dreamcatcher renewed their contracts last year during the European tour well ahead of their 6th anniversary, which they celebrated earlier this year. The fact that they re-signed well before the expiration of their contracts says a lot abt how much they care abt the company and each other. Not a lot of groups re-sign after their contracts expire, much less the entire group re-signing--that's pretty unheard of. The only other group I can think of where all the original members re-signed is Twice.
@@BexaReacts What I really like abt them is that they genuinely look like they really r a family and really care abt each other on and off camera and it's not easy to stay together for as long as they have already no matter how close they seem. I hope they stay together for a very long time. 😊

Actually Hwang Sooyeon and Kim Keeyeoun are on tour with Red Velvet at this moment in Europe.
