He's right about Urkel. I remember his debut as Steve Urkel, and he was supposed to be on for only ONE episode; but he was so funny and lovable, they kept him. As for Ghostwriter, I used to watch it with my younger cousins. It was pretty good. Samuel Jackson played Mr. Jenkins; Jamal Jenkins' father, but he was only there for maybe a few episodes. After that, they recast and brought in another guy.
I can't explain it, but since stumbling across one of your videos a week ago, I haven't been able to stop watching them. You really know your stuff and helped me find lots of awesome new movies to watch. You're one of the only people I can just watch on youtube without getting bored (or embarrassed for them). You're cool, keep it up :]
i loved this in all honestly. You are a nice man and all these people that 'hate' your vids, do it because they dont have anything in their life to love. really cool stuff thanks for sharing!
Im going to Baltimore in the third week of July. I hope I see you and MJ there. Im really going to miss your old basement. It was so cool. I had a feeling your new basement is going to be way cooler. Thanks for continuing the videos.
Good luck on the acting career. I enjoy your views and commentary on the dvds. Keep up the good work and remember that haters are gonna hate, nevermind them.
I'm going to miss that room. There was a lot going on in there. It had so much life and personality to it. This channel has given me so much entertainment and memories in that room it feels like i'm moving out too. Seeing it so empty makes me feel a little empty inside. oh well. good luck in California.;)
WOW holy crap! I haven't heard anyone in my life that knew the Ghostwriter show except for 1 person anyway glad you enjoyed the show I use to come home from elementary school when I was a kid and always watch it
Glad you liked the American Pickers series! Ron and I are pickers just like Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, and we have been doing it all of our lives. Ron is "MOLE MAN" from the show. Did you like that episode? It was so exciting for Ron and I to get a spot on that show, as we have been doing the same thing that they do for years, and it was like they made a show about us! Ron is more of a hoarder though, if it wasn't for me selling half the stuff, he would pile it all up in his wierd tunnels!
You know what, please ignore the haters! Thank you for making these videos, they really are so informative and a great source for movie fans to check out new dvds to buy! I hope somewhere sees these and hooks you up with a job! get it!
awww man sad in a way end of an era of the old back ground weird seeing the room so bare well it will be great to have you back in a few months good luck with the move and witches brew :)
Great vids coolduder, the Disney World ride you mentioned is a great one! If I remember correctly it's called The Carousel of Progress and is located in the Magic Kingdom disney park. The theme song the man sings throughout it is speaking about a beautiful tomorrow. Your right that people overlook it, it is one of my faves as well!
oh my god, The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It looks awesome!!!! Stuck was really weird. I really want to see The Substitue. Great update, Shawn!!!!
yeah, originally he wasn't a recurring character, but he became such a star that you're right, people were literally tuning in just for Steve Urkel...I don't recall them wanting to rename the show, but I've seen commercials like "Back-to-Back Urkel", he was the forefront star of the show...
do you live by yourself or with your whole family. And if you are moving to Cali forever or just a couple of months, and if so what are you going to do when you're going to move back?
kinda ironic how ive been watching alot of family matters latly then watch this and you bring it up .. since im turning 16 alot of ironic stuff as been happning , my mom and i have a physyic thing going on .. long story hah
The Carosel of Progess IS a cool ride. I went on it too, but the rotating theater got stuck D:, But luckly, we got youtube, and i saw the whole show! Nice finds though nice finds!
WIth Family Matters, one thing I realized is the more and more I watched Nick@Nite airings, the more I preferred the first few seasons. I plan to buy the Substitute. movies but I've only seen the first two. I didn't even know they were out on a 4 pack DVD. That'll save a lot of time/money/effort if I can find it on Amazon. And good luck in California!
Ghost Writer was a cool show it went well with Eerie Indiana. I know another show that they only released the first season of and it was Who's The Boss. I think it said 2005 on the Bubble because that is when the actual movie was released because the bluray came out in 2006. I can't wait until I get my copy of Tromeo & Juliet to review. The Road was awesome! Good luck on the move, I hate moving especially packing the dvd's and moving them.
I have got to get family matters this weekend. I saw it tuesday but I didn't have the money :( Ghostwriters I used to watch that all the time I was a nerd that watched alot of PBS lol I was in about 5-6th grade and loved it for some reason.
@coolduder if im not mistaken i think a new one is coming on tonight. anyways hope your moving goes smoothly shawn. i have moved before and i know its alot of work.
I would really love to know where you found the Disney Parks dvd. Ive searched everywhere and cant find it, I live in Canada so maybe its in American stores only?
hey coolduder...good luck with ur acting career...dont listen to the hate mail...my boy was in hollywood for years and landed a a gig on" rescue me" he was on for a good 7 to 10 minutes...good start
hey dude, you may of said this in past videos i havnt got a chance to fully get around to it but i would like to know what would you say is your all time favorite movie and tv show?
@jack2breeze I hope his new house has a basement. That is a place for his dvd updates. If there is no basement, I don't know where he's going to do them. Well its up to him anyway. That will be his decision.
You should have MJ move with you guys! The wonders that Don and Murph could discover in L.A. are endless! lol but seriously good luck, and can't wait to see what you can come up with in L.A.
Leviathan rules! Peter Weller FTW! :) Lifeforce is good too - great dvd double pack. You have a monster collection!! Have you ever considered directing a movie?
Shawn, did you ever see that show, I think it was called Monsters? It used to be run in the mornings when I was about 5 or 6, and it was aerious horror that always featured a different monster. The episode I remeber the best involved this American Indian statue came to life, which seriously scared the crap out of me.
@coolduder... I just finished watching Kevin Costner in The New daughter.. OMG.. Did you watch it yet? Different for kevin costner and different kind of horror but it was ok just not to thrilled about ending.
I really liked Leviathan. It had good atmosphere, good acting (except the woman to who they communicate with through the television) and some scenes were really scary.
hey shawn watching this video reminded me of recently seeing the stephen king movie Dreamcatcher. That movie to me made no sense but i was wondering what you thought of it if youve seen it. if not i think you should take a look into it. Lemme know what you think.

I love how you explain stuff. "You can take Corey Feldman like right out of the Goonies". He never ages. I love Corey Feldman.
Ghost Writer! OMG! I loved that show. It was amazing! You have one hell of a movie collection.
OMG! I LOVED Ghostwriter when I was a kid. Never thought they would put it out on DVD.
i loved this in all honestly. You are a nice man and all these people that 'hate' your vids, do it because they dont have anything in their life to love. really cool stuff thanks for sharing!
Wow, you're moving to California? Big change. Anyways, good luck moving and hope the opportunities you seek in California come in your favor.
Keep up the good work and remember that haters are gonna hate, nevermind them.
perfect strangers is one of my alltime favorite sitcoms
Man you are such a positive guy, you find something positive to say about some pretty bad movies, I have to hand it to you. Awesome attitude!
Hope you have an excellent summer, my friend. Good for you for pursuing your dreams - most people are far too afraid!
I'm going to miss that room. There was a lot going on in there. It had so much life and personality to it. This channel has given me so much entertainment and memories in that room it feels like i'm moving out too. Seeing it so empty makes me feel a little empty inside. oh well.

Wow, crazy seeing your basement empty like that. Good luck on the move. Can't wait to see your new setup once you get settled in.
I really enjoyed this. As a film enthusiast I love finding out about films i've never heard of. Amazing show :)

Dude! An Around the Town roadtrip style movie? That is going to be so rad! I can't wait!
WOW holy crap! I haven't heard anyone in my life that knew the Ghostwriter show except for 1 person anyway glad you enjoyed the show I use to come home from elementary school when I was a kid and always watch it
I remember "Ghost Writer!" But they were all reruns when I watched them... Great collection. I am a big movie buff too.
Glad you liked the American Pickers series! Ron and I are pickers just like Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, and we have been doing it all of our lives. Ron is "MOLE MAN" from the show. The New Blu-ray that you purchased "City of the Living Dead" is Lucio Fulci's movie. One of my favorites. I need to pick that one up for Blu-ray.
@jack2breeze I hope his new house has a basement. That is a place for his dvd updates. If there is no basement, I don't know where he's going to do them. Well its up to him anyway. That will be his decision.

Leviathan: excellent sci-fi, peter weller is really good.

Wow ghostwriter! I totally forgot about that.
They did release Jason of Star Command. I got it at best buy about a year ago.
Are you moving by or yourself? Or is your family moving with you as well?
No Minstrel Killer? :-(
hey shawn watching this video reminded me of recently seeing the stephen king movie Dreamcatcher. That movie to me made no sense but i was wondering what you thought of it if youve seen it. if not i think you should take a look into it. Lemme know what you think.
you should ship one of those boxes full of dvds and blu-rays to me. That sounds like a great idea actually
@coolduder do you know why full moon stopped making films?
This is my favourite one of your videos because june the 14th is my birthday
