Hi Dave, I'm traveling to Crete, Paros and Naxos in mid september. where would it be best to rent a boat out of all these destinations? or if you recommend several of the places.
Usually, a few shops and restaurants start to close down in the first or second week of October but there is still plenty open during the second half of October to keep travelers happy. What it will be like this year is not clear. I'm thinking that travel will be somewhat back to normal by July - but that's just a guess. Nothing is open yet beyond the very basics.
We 94 adults (from Seattle!) are going to Naxos the end of zspetember - we want the best spot on the beach to stay ? Is it possible to be on a beach and be near Naxos town ?
Iria Beach Art Hotel is my favorite beach hotel in Naxos. It's on a great stretch of beach with a few very good restaurants and a low-key beach club. It's a short bus ride to Naxos Town. Closer to Naxos Town (on St George's beach, walking distance to the ferry port and town) my favorites are Nissaki Beach Hotel and Kalergis Studios. You can see locations here: santorinidave.com/naxos-hotel-map Good luck.
There are always taxis at the port when a ferry arrives - just walk towards town and you'll see them by the bus station. (I have not used a pre-book taxi in Naxos.)
Excellent video! Efharisto Poly!
Love

Is a day trip from Naxos to Santanori feasible?
Hi Dave. Im going to Naxos mid-October, and are curious if all small shops, cafés and restaurants have open in Naxos town?

Good luck.
Do you know if it's possible to pre-book taxis in Naxos? It looks like they don't have Welcome Pickups there.

As a local i have to say that tourism has ruin the island and i speak in behalf of the younger generations that tourists are not welcome to the island
