Hi Courtney, truthfully, I’ve watched this home tour twice already and just now getting to comment on it but so enjoyed it. I may even watch it again and again so many beautiful stories, details and moments.
Enjoyed the story behind the story of the home, the pieces and your precious family. I still can’t believe you never did projects like this before and were able to accomplish all of this!!! My dad was an industrial arts teacher and built a lot of our beautiful furniture for our home. Till this day I’m so disappointed I wasn’t able to learn his skills from him before he passed (such a regret now)
The hutch you have was very similar to my grandparents hutch. It was always such a beautiful piece that I admired growing up. I’m so glad you left the home true to its era. I still regret removing the old light fixtures from our home when we bought it and a stained glass window we had! What was I thinking? 😩 Anyway so glad you kept yours even though they aren’t necessarily your style they look so beautiful in your home. Can’t wait to I see the next projects unfold this year. You definitely put your heart and soul along with your crew into your gorgeous home and it shows.

I absolutely love Courtney! Her channel is one of my very favorites to watch on Utube, i get super excited every time she post a new video! I love supporting her. She's so very talented, i love her home and everything she's done with it. I'm A lover of anything old, especially antiques, and she has some amazing pieces. I just love the pocket doors you have in old American houses. We don’t have them much in England, I have a Victorian house and pocket doors would be just perfect between my dining room and the snug. But I can just imagine how much work and mess it would be to do them. I have serious pocket door envy!

And what a tour it is! Awesome home Courtney … and yes, you do have the gift … you are surely blessed to uncover all these finds! I think when you sell this home and see just how much you’ll make, as a result of all your work, it’ll boost your confidence! Proof is in the pudding. But being humble is a good quality, in itself.
And I think the word you’re looking for would be “inexpensive” … as opposed to cheap! 😊 There’s absolutely nothing cheap in your home!
I’m so glad I got to see the tour … it was worth the wait and did not disappoint.
So looking forward to that tin ceiling as you well know. Maybe the sponsor will give you a helping hand with some of the other rooms … i.e., kitchen/dining/living rooms and foyer! Okay … all the rooms 😂🤣😂 what can I say, I love tin ceilings.
I’m also looking forward to seeing what you do with the Master bedroom … some lovely rich colour (not too dark but not too pastel, would be nice).
Again, it was a great tour … you pulled it off amazingly well! You should be proud of all the work you’ve done. And that kitchen will be great when the cabinets are raised and built-in shelving underneath … it will really show off the height of the ceilings.
Thanks for sharing … the Christmas decor was perfect … all of it! I don’t know how many trees (what 9?) but it suits the home … even the one on the front porch! BTW … you didn’t show off your front porch and how pretty it turned out.
