The Eye of Vecna looks to be the most expensive card in the pack right this moment - TCGplayer market price is 8.39 USD. Fighter Class is around 4.82 USD market price. (listings are lower though, high three dollar range?) Plate Armor is MP 1.56 (but has listings for 28 cents) Eccentric Apprentice is sub 50 cents. Grim Wanderer is around 90 cents. The rest are commons, which are all sub a dollar (and likely to go down, same with the uncommons.)
"Hulking bugbear?" That's the nicest thing someone who wasn't actually talking to me but was addressing a theoretical online audience has ever said to me.
Xanathar's goldfish appears to be named "Sylgar." Also it looks like there's somebody whose job it is to hold the cards up to the sides of the fishbowl so that Sylgar can see them. Delightful.
Now you're making me feel my age for different reasons. I was at a D&D themed escape room at GenCon one year and was the only participant who was able to solve one of the puzzles because I was the only one who knew that thac0 wasn't a random jumble of letters/numbers.
According to a brief Scryfall search, Worm was in fact a pre-existing creature type. There aren't many, only 8 previous cards, but it did exist! The most famous of them is probably Reef Worm, the one that dies and makes a bigger creature token, which then dies and makes an even bigger creature token.
A couple years after release, the most valuable card in the pack is Fighter Class at $4.80. It seems to be a very popular card in Commander, specifically equipment-heavy Voltron commanders like Wyleth, Soul of Steel, Bruenor Battlehammer, or Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist paired with Rograkh, Son of Rhogahh.
On the one hand, its great to see Graham no longer misattributing the editing to Cori when its actually Matt doing the editing, but sad to see Matt still not getting a shout out. Shout out to Matt for the editing! ~Myrph
@@LRRMTGI figured that would probably be the case, it just amused me the first time I noticed and then I couldn't stop checking! In all honesty big shout out to you for acknowledging the work of the editors!
Just beat a guy on Arena tonight with 4 of those owl bears on the battlefield at once. It was a rough 3 games but I got there in the end with black/white control. Gotta love traditional draft.
Eye of Vecna also comes down a turn early, and goes off the turn you play it. In commander I’d rather run Eye of Vecna than Phyrexian Arena (and plan to in mono white).
@GamerBear For sure. I mean in mono black I would still run this over the Arena, but there are indeed many better black card draw options and generally wouldn’t want either. Maybe if it was a Vilis deck? Probably unnecessary still.
Setting a reminder on my phone to look up the valuation of these cards after the paper release next week. Cuz Graham told me not to worry about it and I'm super curious
I just got 7/2 with UW Boardstall with Mordenkeinen, hes pretty OP in limited, 3 Turns on the board and your oppo is basically done. his tokens ground out purple wurm twice, and i countered it twice. well tommorrow it's going down in real life for the prerelease, wish me luck and good pulls.
Oooh, new content! We love to see it. And as a DnD fan, it's an especially exciting set. Would love me some Full Plate Bird Bear Owlbears, let me tell you. A lot of chonk! To the point that I feel like, just picking value in your colors, you might inadvertently end up in 5 mana tribal in this set. Owlbear looks real solid. 4/4 for 5 with draw 1 and additonal positive ability? Yes. Sign me up for that. Love me an Azure Drake.
Not sure why the levels are so hot on this one. Thanks for understanding!
Notice this post right after I posted my audio thoughts! Ope!
Not sure why the Grahams are so hot on this one, literally no one understands!
It's because of that rare
Mic said "might I have a red level papa? as a treat?"
Blame the nat 1.

10:17 State your first name, your last name, and occupation..
"Lizardman, "Lizardman, and uuhh.. lizard man."

I’m here for Graham trying to emphasize the difference between worm & wurm 🤣🤣
I greatly appreciate the care with which the emojis were selected during the price breakdown.
This.
"That's for Guests" LMAO! Graham, I keep finding you all over the internet, and I hope you know you're a god damn treat and a legend.
The "OK, buddy" after Grim Wanderer's flavor text killed me.
“The world is my owlbear.” *flashes back to an owlbear dishing out a TPK because the bard tried to seduce it.*. Yeah, yeah, that scans.
Oh my gosh he just YEETED that dice and it absolutely made my day 🤣
Friendship ended with bird warlock. Now bird bear is Graham’s best friend

To be fair even people who played with thaco often don't know how to calculate it by heart. Most use the table and write it down instead
Please tell me that Owlbear is going into Bear Force One, Graham.
Its not a 2/2 for 2 or a 4/4 for 4 (which is two 2/2s for 2 stapled together) so it can't ! Its also not a Forebearers Blade, which is four bears!
this just made me very excited for the inevitable nickname episode, where, once again, a lot of answers is going to be "this is already a nickname"

Really happy to hear the response been positive; this series has been delightful!
I need that Xanathar goldfish art on a playmat.
"The world is your owlbear" - ancient Wood Elf proverb
0:38 Going a little Dave’s Spokesman there, aren’t we Stark?
With every crack-a-pack, the Spokesman becomes stronger, until, one day, there shall be no more Graham, only the spokesman shall remain.
Absolutely loving the crack-a-pack vids!
Now stop touching my great axe, it's for guests.
No Graham, don't throw that die away! You already rolled the 1 out which means it's primed to roll something else next time!
Oh that feel of rolling a nat 1 on a fresh D20, and just yetting that thing into the abyss. We've all been there Graham :D
It wasn't the die's fault :(
Yetting is now the official past tense of yeet. lol
@@ablotupontheearth7513 I prefer 'yote'
I can't believe a magic card costs as much as two swords. That's gotta be, like, ten gold!
Classes look good so far!
Just want to say I appreciate the effort of finding emojis for every card for a bit that was on screen for two seconds.
7:01 I'm here for the content of Graham being here for this content
Love the throw of the prerelease kit right at the start!
Graham: We'll say that's why it's so expensive to equip
Someone from WotC: Got it in one Stark
First time watching , I'm a big sports card guy but you are convincing me. Had a good laugh as well 🤣
I... I don't know what to say. I respect the person that took their time to match emojis to each individual card. Wow.

ye that makes sense, card seems sweet. Tutor a thing, make your deck work smoother, get some combat-based removal maybe.
Best one yet. Keep them coming.
“There foil on both sides so you know they are going to stay straight”…
Shots fired at wotc 😂
And Thank You Graham (and LRR team) for providing such wonderful content for us to all enjoy
I'm just happy they brought back the tower-style prerelease boxes.
Well, it is on flavor for D&D. Dice Towers are often used in D&D sessions, and seeing as how these prerelease packs come with d20's, it makes sense.
Audio is fairly off in this episode, but loved the actual content!
Excellent, as always.
Graham rolled a 1 and threw the die away. 😃 I'm stopping now to like and comment. That was great! Thank you.
13:10 oh man, Graham really channeling Jacob with this joke
Yes, Magic has both Worms and Wurms. No Wyrms as yet, but I'm hopeful. Less hopeful for Wirms, Werms or Warms, but the night is young.
On the one hand, its great to see Graham no longer misattributing the editing to Cori when its actually Matt doing the editing, but sad to see Matt still not getting a shout out.
Shout out to Matt for the editing! ~Myrph
The thing is, I don’t *know* when I’m recording which of them will edit. They trade off.
@@LRRMTGI figured that would probably be the case, it just amused me the first time I noticed and then I couldn't stop checking! In all honesty big shout out to you for acknowledging the work of the editors!

Speaking as someone with an unreasonable love for polymorph spells, the Eccentric Apprentice makes me feel very seen.
"WIELDING a Greataxe... is a lot more difficult." It's a big ask, for a big axe.
I really like the way you do this compared to every other channel, stopping on each card and giving me time to look at it
"The world is your owlbear?" What a missed opportunity to reference Flumphs.
"What's the difference between this guy and a flumph. One's a spineless bag of gas, and the other's a flumph" - Chris Perkins
I think the flavor with the hawk is that the hawk FINDS the dungeon and the other creature actually GOES IN
Okay fine I guess that makes more sense
Thank you so much for mentioning THACO
I believe Worms were a creature type previously, mostly tokens made by Worm Harvest and Creakwood Liege
Glad to see this series has been received so well
When Graham said feather fall, I was hoping the next card would be feather fall, also don't forget wyrms.
OH, WORM?
SHOUT OUT TO THOSE GOOD WORM FRIENDS 🐌
13:10 - My headcanon is now that you're using the handle of the greataxe as, like, a shoehorn to get your platemail on easier.
Pick of the draft is *FIGHTER CLASS* if early, or, if late, *Owlbear* or *Precipitous Drop* depending on drafted colors.
Glab there has been a good response to these videos! I'm loving them, great way to start my morning!
Haha cool name
It's stupid how excited I am for this with no one to play with. :(
I haven't played magic in a long while but this set looks fun as heck
Love the 'price list'. That was great.
i am engaged with this content. more pls
I don’t know much about D&D but Graham’s reactions are awesome for anyone.
Also, I have enjoyed this series of videos from beginning to end! Please keep doing them!
You'd definitely wheel greataxe, and it becomes almost equitable with levels in fighter
Eye of Vecna also comes down a turn early, and goes off the turn you play it.

I'd take the Fighter class and hope to wheel the armor or the axe and build an equipment deck in white/red
You Find the Villain's Lair nickname for the nickname episode can be Cancels and Catalogs
I'd love to see crack a pack with other hosts. Not that Graham is bad or anything, but I love all of LRR and they're personalities
Grim Wanderer is just the best card. So funny and solid too. lol
I did all the boring TH-cam things, be course you guys are great.
Graham you were so close to full Dave's spokesmen
Only Worm (not Wurm) I can think of off the top of my head is Reef Worm
I need those basic lands
Thank you for this video.
Audio sounds a little grainy this episode but still as fun as ever!
Oh boy, here I go engaging with this content again!
You can add Owlbear to your upgrade Bear Commander.
Would love to see a chaos draft with these once its possible
Thank you for noticing I’ve been working out. I don’t know if I’m “hulking” yet, but you’re very kind nonetheless.
wyurms descend from elder dragons who had their wings ripped off during the elder dragon war... worms are just giant garden worms...
When the Zombie Ogre appeared and he said Zombogre, I thought of Zogres from RuneScape.
I think Grahams comment is the first time I've heard of THAC0 in...21 years? THAC0s old..xD
I wonder if Scaled Herbalist will be…fine.
The hawk is scouting for the dungeon and the other creature is venturing into it. Duh
You’re delightful! Nice shirt...
You have the beginnings of a Boros equipment deck in there
I just got 7/2 with UW Boardstall with Mordenkeinen, hes pretty OP in limited, 3 Turns on the board and your oppo is basically done. his tokens ground out purple wurm twice, and i countered it twice. well tommorrow it's going down in real life for the prerelease, wish me luck and good pulls.
Appreciate the AFR ASMR
Bear Force One has a new ally, and his name is OWLBEAR
owlbear isn’t even a bear lmao
0:30 No Graham, you're delightful :P
The Eye of Vecna can also go in monowhite, unless Phyrexian Arena
That was a pretty bonkers pack for sealed!
Oh!! You get all three dungeon tokens? That's a relief
AHH where do I get a Kaldheim shirt like that?? Ive been looking.
1 down, 5 more packs to go?
Lmfao a fumble, clearly a cursed dice 🎲
I love any multi use card, just like the older buyback or cast again from Graveyard cards

damn I gotta get me one of these packs. Also love D&D so bonus.
Yes but is the owlbear going into bear for one?
The audio on this is a little... boxy? Something is up
Is the goblin from Price of Loyalty the same one from Enthralling Victor?
