I've got two xj650s, an '82 and an '83, both in storage but always in the back of my mind. YICS, shaft drive, high powerband, and pure potential make me want to get to work. Thanks for your videos. After my current project, I may have to revisit a classic.
awesome build , only just recently, found this build, awesome work sir, is that turbo carbon sealed as standard , or did you have to change it out,, fookin LOVE the sound of this machine,, hats off
@@DoctormotorcycleToo brah I got one sitting in my garage I brought for 2 hundred dollars a mechanics dream lol. Sweet running bike after a major tune up and 4 in 1 exhaust got me thinking about that turbo lol
Man i am rebuilding my carbs rn, and now I am worried about my jetting. Idk how i will do it or who to take it to or what to even do about it, any guidance?
Just got a 92 nighthawk 750. Ive ridden 10+ years, but xoulsnt beat the price. When you look at cb750 builds there's a huge gap by the 4 carbs and its a 4-1 exhuast already, if you inverted the exhuast to run over the engine and to a turbo under the seat right into the 4 carbs could it be hidden away for a "classic style modern power" build? I'd love to pick your brain! This is my 6th bike I'm building. **got it under 1k, goals to build a beast under 2k as a scrapyard build**
For sure, I can help offer my experience w/turbo's over on patreon, that's what I started it for. My how-to turbo video will answer a ton of your questions, it's over 40 minutes long. Even includes jetting this bike from scratch w/HSR42. www.patreon.com/doctormotorcycle
Hey Jimmy I recently found your channel I have a 79 xs1100 that I would like turbo just like this plan on reaching out on ur patreon look forward to working with you. Awesome build btw
Fuck i miss my xj650 bobber i had a yz450 front end on which makes a mean as rake and shorten rear shocks , with x2 2into 1 no baffles and build my own forward controls.
