Thanks Tim for sharing. Been considering somethings like this as at 55, my knees don’t like tire changing on the garage floor either ! And with my new jack stands bought primarily for my KLR, I’m going to use them to balance my next tire change as you showed. Annnd, I have an 805 on the back. I like it as well. It’s a good price and does well off and on road. Thanks again Tim !
Thanks so much for putting in the time and effort to making the video. Especially useful part about the balancing. I wasn't sure what i was going to do after installing my tire. Thanks again.
Great video. I recently purchased the same stand but I haven't used it yet. Now I don't have to read the instructions. I also purchased the Tusk balance stand so your totorial was very helpful. Do you have a video on installation of a carb rejeting kit? I purchased a DynoJet kit and the instructions are brief. Thanks!
This looks like a good low cost solution for light tires, but I must admit that my NoMar has been a treat for the heavy tires on my LT. It is a pricey solution though.
Yes, This Tusk is definitely a budget option. The NoMar is a very nice piece of equipment. They are pricey, but over time, a NoMar would pay for itself both in $$ and less frustration if you do your own tire changes. Maybe someday :) - Thanks for watching.
Hi Mark, Yes I would. If the machine is made for, or has the appropriate adapters for motorcycle wheels, it should work fine. I have looked into these myself and someday I hope to have one in my shop. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
@@Tim2Wheels thanks for the reply. I was wondering the opposite coz i cant seem to find a video here on youtube about it, that maybe its not recommended on spoked wheels only for mag wheels.
Nice video. Just curious how tall you are. I have been looking at a couple stands and the other contender people complain is a bit short but without knowing how tall they are its just a big?
Thanks again for the video.. I’ll be changing my first set this spring/summer.. I really don’t like the stock tires my klr came with.. my question is do you have any experience/opinions on using balance beads instead of fixed weights for your tires.. I like the idea that they basically rebalance every time you ride and having a tube seems like you don’t have to worry about damage to your inner wheel.. any thoughts you have would be appreciated.. I like that you really try to be objective in your thoughts and opinions.. thanks again..
Hi, I don't have any experience with the beads or liquids for balancing wheels. I have always been curious about them. Maybe some of the other viewers can chime in with their comments. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
string twister - I did trade it. Can only support one bike and I needed something better suited for 2-up touring. I will miss her. Thanks for watching.
Yes indeed! Camera stopped and I didn't notice. I dislike tire changes enough, that I wasn't about to do it over just to get the footage :) Thanks for the comment and for watching.
EXCELLENT video, appreciate the thoroughness - tough to find that these days.

Thanks for the video! Gonna be changing the same tire on the same bike with the same stand👍
I’ve got an 805 to put on my KLR650, thanks for the video
I think you will really like it. I'm very happy with the 805.
Thanks for the comment and for watching.
Thanks Tim for another great KLR video. Your efforts are much appreciated and we are still watching. Have a good day from Tim in Northern Arizona.
Thanks for the comment Tim, and thanks for watching.

Hi Robert, I think you'll be happy with the Tusk products. I don't have a video on carb re-jeting - sorry.
Thanks for the comment and for watching.

would you recommend a tire changing machine to remove and install on a spoked wheels?

Just put a set on my KLR. is this prep for March moto madness
Having been to MMM in Tennessee, This 805 is a GREAT tire choice for the rides there. You will be so glad you chose them! Enjoy the rally!
Nice video. Just curious how tall you are. I have been looking at a couple stands and the other contender people complain is a bit short but without knowing how tall they are its just a big?
Hi, I am 6'4" so the stand is a bit shorter than I would like, but I'm used to that.
Thanks for the comment and for watching.

Nice video, did you sell your klr or trade it in?

Whoa horsey! Skipped a bit there at 9:12 eh?
Yes indeed!
