one of the best song of lataji and no one will ever will be able to sing like her for years years years to come...its my challange. the art of singing if you here properly you will find a huge difference between her and all new commers after lataji. Its my dream to meet her personally but i am not sure whether i will be able to meet her.....

When ever I listen this song tears come in my dry eyes. One of my class fellow sung this song in Farewell party in 1990. We were the students of final years in department of sociology. KARACHI University. We were in silent love with each other.

+Fahad Amir Fully agree that an important aspect of old songs that is 'poetry' does not exist any more. Hindi songs introduced the beautiful verses and words written in hindi language to those whose mother tongue was not hindi. Music directors and singers first did justice to the poetry in their effort and then show cased their musical and singing talents.Not any more, the beats based western music is don't necessarily require good lyrics or singing to produce the popular foot tapping effect. Sad the pure , simple poetic language has become irrelevant in aping the beat based western music . Not against western music , classic harmonies were also welcome in bollywood.
True Indian Sangeet = song + dance + singing has taken a back seat, gone are the days when film makers and music directors used film songs to unlock the magic of Indian music from the lockers of classes to masses.Keep listening !

We wish Lata ji the best of health and the best of times for all those melodious lines she has bequeathed to us and hopefully, she would in future continue to. Lata Mangeshkar is much more than a singer of lines or songs, she is a Goddess incarnate in voice control and delivery, who has often outperformed the competition and even herself!
