This is his best song by far, he vents his frustration on how he tries to write real music but it never comes out as catchy as popular rap. But at the same time he loves his craft and would strive to make it something that could become popular. But will never leave his real music message.
It's crazy to think on days when I'm literally sitting here with my headphones on drinking. That a man that I never met could inspire me so much. I used to wait for every Friday to listen to the new freestyle. And here we are, a decade later, still hoping somehow, someway, I'll get that notification again. RIP you under-appreciated legend. I can never thank you for what you'll never know you've done
people say that you can remember someone's face after death for the rest of your life but the first thing to fade from memory is their voice, but no one will be able to forget THE KINGS voice, it is forever because of these songs and because of how they have touched each and everyone of us. We will not forget all of those times you have been there for us, for those times it was hard to live, and for those times everything was hard in general. When I found out this was his last freestyle Friday I cried. These songs were what got me through my freshman year of high school so I say thank you to THE KING once more. R.I.P man you will truly be missed

damn it's been 2 or 4 years since I found this song. I remember vibing to this on the bus ride home after a bad day. Helped make those bad times just a little less crappy. Even in 2021 I enjoy his music. RIP King
I can't tell you how many times I've come back to listen to this song. Pretty sure 100,000 or so of those views are from me alone to be honest. But who can blame me, it is E-Dub after all ;)
E-Dubble is up in heaven with Steve Irwin, Mr. Rogers, Jim Henson, Robin Williams, Bob Ross, and Harambe. He's up there because he taught us to never give up, and look for what little good there may be left. If you can't find the good, become it.
Yoo I tried to honor him, we did a party for him on his deathday, smokin weed and drinking with his music. I love him so much, I am a though man but I cried drunk whilest listening to "Changed my mind"
This song is the one of his that has helped me through the most. It's so hard even 3 years later to accept that he's gone. He was such a legendary genuine man who touched so many with his lyrics and captured us and our feelings and showed us we aren't alone.
Dear Evan, You've taught me many things in my short life. You taught me to love myself because I am all I have at the end of the day. You taught me to always fight back against things that don't make sense. You taught me to shut a mother fucker up if he's out of line, or if he's being disrespectful. But most of all, you taught me how to love music and appreciate it when its there for me and I need an outlet. No idea how much bullshit this life throws at me from all directions, but you also have no idea how much your music has impacted me and helped me through almost everything since I've found you years and years ago. All through middle school I always said I'd go to one of your concerts when I became an adult, but when I turned 18 you passed away after your trip in mexico 3 months later. I think we need to keep e-dub on the down low, I like being a little community that doesn't get hat and don't have people saying 'I love e dubble' even though they don't listen to him
Agreed, the people still listening to his songs today are the ones who truly enjoy his music, and I believe having a smaller amount of people who respect the music is much more valuable to that persons memory or impact then just having more people know.
1mil views..crazy. Drinking with my headphones on right now. RIP man. The 13th of Feb will be a truly E-dubble day for me. Nothing but you for the entire day. Thanks man.

I have never bought music in my entire life, but when i found E-dubble i bought all his songs. I feel bad for just downloading music from people like this, this guy is one of the best rappers ive ever heard and his not even driving around in a gold covered porche. RESPECT!
It's sad. I learned about this guy BECAUSE of a popular zombies player. And it was 2 days after he died. I love his music and I'm sad that I never got the chance to thank him for this music as it gave me encouragement and motivation to make my own music to my own taste. He is a legend and will live on as a legend.
This man helped so many people with his voice alone And i find beatiful that even after his death all of his fans reunites on those memories and thanks him for all he gave us The family you never knew loves you evan, keep it up in heaven
Still here in 24’ The legacy lives on long as someone is listening. Rest Well Edubble

Dear Evan,
You've taught me many things in my short life. The hands go up, but they always come down
That's the sad truth when you're living for the crowd
The show's been over, but you still wanna bow
You really should hang it up but you're just too proud
The beat's too low, and the vocal's too loud
Even in the booth you've been havin' little doubts
You put your headphones on and drink 'till you pass out
Praying for a drought help you shake your dark cloud
[Bridge]
I've not even been around the block
Not even once but I look out the door
The corner's right there, the coast is clear
My eyes are open but I'm hating the chore
No reason to stop now there's nothing but pop clowns
So put your money down put your neck on the table
You feeling so hot now, you're calling the shots now
Switch things up, you gotta shake that label
erse 1]
Call it what you want, call it what you gotta
It's a struggle in the booth to make the truth sound hotter
Make you feel proper make you feel just right
And it's some insecurities just to help you sleep at night
So fall back if you don't feel me. I don't even feel me!
Sometimes I think that I do this shit to try and heal me
Maybe be appealing maybe grow a fan base
But honestly I only make this music for my own sake
You want my own take? Here's my two cents
I don't need your recognition just a record with depth
An intense one that just lets me just vent
One that knows when I'm happy or I wanna get bent
And guess what homeboy? that's all I ever need
Introspection over beats and a party for the fiend
A CD full of a songs and a mic for me to speak into
If music speaks to you please take heed:
Think about it, write it down, find someone who you can teach it to
I'm not preachin' dude, I'm just trying to cleanse
A lyrical colonic, shake the demons in my head
Sometimes you've gotta purge yourself to make it out of bed
[Hook]
The hands go up, but they always come down
That's the sad truth when you're living for the crowd
The show's been over, but you still wanna bow
You really should hang it up but you're just too proud
The beat's too low, and the vocal's too loud
Even in the booth you've been havin' little doubts
You put headphones on and drink 'till you pass out
Praying for a drought help you shake your dark cloud
Verse 2]
Inspiration don't come cheap these days
So I go the opposite direction tryin' to keep this faith
No religion, but hip hop has given me the opportunity
To put a hundred percent into something that is true to me
And Usually my muses show up so I start sippin'
Allow me to gas myself so I stop trippin
And overthinking and analyzing everything I do
So I can find out what life looks easier for you
How the hell did I develop all of this social anxiety
And fuck a zoloft! I roll off and get high
With these bottles and beers, trying to forget those years
I don't need a script doctor, but let's just say cheers
And tip that, say sip sip sippin' on the jazzers
And when your people join you , then you know it's going to be magic
But when you're on a vision quest, they say that it's a hazard
But trust me, I would never let it turn to something tragic
There's been to many kids lost in my home town
Must be something in the water shed, 'cuz I know now
Suicidal teens ain't born, they're bred
So give them something to hope for instead of pullin' the thread
Unravellin' all of their dreams at the seams
I believe in doing for self, but it's nice having a team
That's why I self medicate just to help meditate
Introspection is arrestin' when you can't catch a break

[Breakdown / Verse 3]
The 16s we rip 'em, the pen's scribbles explicit
Mic booth is a closet until the studio's finished
Gaurenteed that when we get legit I'm going to miss it
But until then we circle the rag and stay on the mission
A hotbed of ideas, our pens are best friends
I've driven through carpal tunnel, that's hell but the road ends
We've blazing our own path, we work as our own staff
No paychecks get cut, but fuck we'll get past
I stay sipping the bourbon and even though it's a weakness
I need it to find the freedom to make real what I keep dreamin
I mean it, I promise I can surely keep my seams sewn up
As long as I only have to pretend to be a grown up
These headphones are worn, the paint's starting to fade
High's starting to clip, lows starting to wane
But no need to worry, the musics gonna get made
And even when we pass out, wake up to a new day like
*bwwwooaaaahhh*
Thanks!
I have never bought music in my entire life, but when i found E-dubble i bought all his songs. I feel bad for just downloading music from people like this, this guy is one of the best rappers ive ever heard and his not even driving around in a gold covered porche. RESPECT!
Im still here and some of you guys are too.
It's sad. I learned about this guy BECAUSE of a popular zombies player. And it was 2 days after he died. I love his music and I'm sad that I never got the chance to thank him for this music as it gave me encouragement and motivation to make my own music to my own taste. He is a legend and will live on as a legend.
His words continue to ring true... (2021)
(2024)
This man helped so many people with his voice alone
And i find beatiful that even after his death all of his fans reunites on those memories and thanks him for all he gave us
The family you never knew loves you evan, keep it up in heaven
RIP E-dubble ❤️❤️❤️
dont make me cry now
A true legend. When I'm down this is always a good song for me, thank you e-dubble, rest in peace man.
