My son who is 35 now loved them. He could out rap everyone on their songs. He has been in a rock/metal band for years but he still tells everyone that Bone Thugs and Harmony are the best. He actually went and saw them perform last September, he was like his 15-year-old self again.
I learned how to fast rap because of these guys then got better when I started listening to tech n9ne.
I'm 41, and I feel exactly the same way. I actually saw them again a couple of years ago, and got them all to sign my shirt. They seemed dumb founded that a guy like me was singing along and had been a fan for 25 years.

Reason why I love and am a huge fan of BTNH because I spent a lot of time grounded no TV no radio no nothing weeks long stuck in my room. My daughter's and I love BTNH. I fell in love with these guys back when they were blowing up and my middle daughter has seen then live twice. I'm 56 now and still rock BTNH.
I remember when this came out, it was super popular. It was one of only a couple rap albums I owned then. I hadn’t yet been able to expand my brain to really understand most of the genre but this one and waterfalls by TLC hit me like a couple of bricks. I also lost several people I cared about right then. I remember the MTV music awards they gave an award posthumously to Notorious BIG and his mom accepted the award. Then everyone kept making references to ‘seeing you at the crossroads’. I really liked the way they rap - the cadence of the words and just sort of a distinctive sound to me.
I still have this album on my iTunes.

This was actually a remix done a while after the original came out on their E 1999 Eternal album. It wound up winning a Grammy for them! Still my favorite rap/hip-hop group of all time. Been jamming to them since around '94 I think, When Creepin' On Ah Come Up came out. They're the only group that can say they rapped with both Biggie and Tupac, as well as tons of other artists like Mariah Carey, Phil Collins, Big Pun, etc.

One of the members of Bone Thugs, Wish Bone, is named Charles. He also had an uncle Charles that passed away. That's what that part of the song is referring to.

The one line I remember from this song is, "And How I'm Gonna Miss My Uncle Joe". In the music video, Uncle Joe is the elderly man playing checkers, whose life was taken by The Angel Of Death. In the music video, they inserted video footage of the late Easy-E, on the way to the top of the mountain with all of the other dead spirits, as The Angel Of Death leads them off to Heaven.
