Nine year old me, school-bussed in twice a year from West Nyack on field trips would have GONE NUTS for ANY OF THIS back in the late-70’s!! I STILL loved this Museum back then, but, MAN HAS IT CHANGED!!
I always visit the Natural History Museum every so many years. Brings a lot of good childhood memories. I did hear about this new place opening and hopefully can check it out this summer. 😁
I will say that the fact that they made the insect section so incredibly interesting for something you can see at the local park... i stood looking at the insects walking for what seems like a while... BEAUTIFUL architect work also
Hi from New Zealand, We arrived in New York on Monday, haven't been here but went to museum of Broadway. Awesome. We're here until next Thursday, so might go here as well.
HEY thanks for another good video, Jon! I am making my return trek in about a week & was reviewing your videos for a little guidance. I'm not a big museum person, so will probably skip this one in favor of Highline, Rockefeller Center, a hike through central park & a hike to the top of the Statue of Liberty! Thank you, though. I hope to run into you in my travels, and who knows? Maybe I can give you some tips for a travel to California tour video! Hollywood, Disneyland, San Diego, Tijuana, here you & Team Adriana come!! Oh yah....plus 1.
Wow. This looks really good. I plan to go in a couple of weeks. Havent been to any museums since pandemic except once in January ( The Met... I Missed it so much) Cant wait for the Insect area. It looks so awesome. I teach Pre K and we are on our Butterfly/Insect unit. The immersive area looks really good too. Im going to show this video to my kids tomorrow. Theyll be begging their parents to go! LOL Thanks for the info!
Hey Jon, not to toot our horn, but our Public Museum in Milwaukee has a Butterfly exhubit too where you can stand anongst all the butterflies in rheir exhibit. We also gave a live insects exhibit too. In case you're ever in the area. 😉
We were there in the beginning of April but I don’t think the new wing was open yet. Regardless, we had a great time and maybe got to see about 1/4 of the museum. Wish we could have visited the next day. Tip: Go to the side entrance; less wait time.
Love love love your videos!! Thank you for all you do for your fans! Can you please give us an update on Ben?? I love him and I'm sure lots of others, not just me, are concerned about him.... xoxox
This looks really cool, but does the entrance interfere with the atrium entrance from Central Park West with the free-Standing barosaurus skeleton where the equestrian statue was recently removed?
Hi John! Thank you so much for the amazing video! I just have a question, don't know if you can clarify it. How do I buy additional tickets for the Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium and the Invisible Worlds immersive experience? Is it in the day I go? Because I already have a City Pass that includes general admission... Thank you once again! :)
Eeeeeeeek Insect exhibit NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I went to a butterfly exhibit at the gardens near me, staff examine your person in a little vestibule before leaving to make sure no hitch hikers

Hi Jon ! Even though I'm not a fan of insects I'm open minded, so I would love to check out this new attraction in NYC.
You're not alone, Jose. I freak at large winged insects! So that's a pass for me.
Thanks for checking this out, i miss these things about NYC
Today we had our school field trip to this place and it was to me worth it, there was sm cool things! I think I might go there for my summer break
Looks great! Thanks for posting.

Going for my birthday in July, cant wait!!!!
Thanks for this wonderful recommendation. This is my first visit to NYC and the first attraction I visited this one and 2nd is Summit 😊😊
I'm definitely going here, thanks for the suggestion.
Nice! I live mere steps away, so this looks like a great place to go when friends or family visit.
Great video! Thanks!
It's a masterpiece.

The design screams Antoni Gaudí, the great Spanish architect.
Totally agree
Always interesting thumbs up

But I think i might be most interested in butterflies and the worlds immersive experience
Wow, looks really cool!

Hey Barr and chat, what are new places to visit in nyc this Memorial Day weekend? I’m going there tomorrow.
Another date idea!
Be a cool one
Omg did I just see Shilohinnyc 😃
One of the biggest attractions in NYC is Jon ❤! And yes it’s worth it!!
@Maotou Totally agree 😂😅😊
Sheesh!! This is amazing!
Love the new addition
Thanks for the inspo.
Wow! what an amazing place……
Nice video, b nice to know how much the extra admissions are
It depends on your ticket if Nj ny ct resident or not. Why I didn’t list it
I love the vivarium

That looks crazy
Can we visit just the atrium without a ticket? I'd love to visit it!! thanks, amazing video @HereBeBarr
Hmmm i'm not sure.. I think you can't, but maybe if you wait in line and walk in you can see it?
I wonder how it compares to the frost museum in maimi
Damn! I got physically triggered by that mosquito buzz! Literally waved my hands around!
We were there in the beginning of April but I don’t think the new wing was open yet. Regardless, we had a great time and maybe got to see about 1/4 of the museum. Wish we could have visited the next day. Tip: Go to the side entrance; less wait time.
Do u have any videos on the Hamptons
atrium looks like it's from the Land Of The Lost tv series
It's very cool.
The science finally is telling us to make up for all the fun you missed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Love love love your videos!! Thank you for all you do for your fans! Can you please give us an update on Ben?? I love him and I'm sure lots of others, not just me, are concerned about him.... xoxox
Check the community tab on my channel for a Ben update!
@@HereBeBarr thanks so much 🙂
Insectarium sound a little icky and a little cool! The PERFECT combo lol
also, the atrium kinda reminds me of that time I tried to make merengue haha
hahha
how much time would you say it takes to see the museum?
kinda reminds me of the city museum in st. louis
Watched with friend thumb up
I watch all your videos from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 Who is your camera man ?
This looks really cool, but does the entrance interfere with the atrium entrance from Central Park West with the free-Standing barosaurus skeleton where the equestrian statue was recently removed?
Nice video but why are you wispering? Can the butterflies hear you?
how much time do you recommend me to stay there as a single traveler? Science lover btw :)
Hi John! Thank you so much for the amazing video! I just have a question, don't know if you can clarify it. How do I buy additional tickets for the Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium and the Invisible Worlds immersive experience? Is it in the day I go? Not sure w city passes. Visit their website. I know you can add it day you buy
Oh my God where is Dr. Zaius and Taylor. Do they have the Statue of Liberty buried on the Beach?
@Mike Goldstein Whoa, does anybody remember this great movie?😂😅😊
Awesome tour! As members of TMNH does this cost extra?
Not sure 🤔 have to check your benefits
As a New Yorker: Guggenheim inspired, extra charges, really more to know about insects? 😂 Otherwise nice new spot 😀
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Rise NY - is it worth the price? It seems to be similar in terms of the immersive experince.
I don't think comparable. This is one of the premiere science/learning centers in the USA. That's very touristy, but could be fun for kids of course.
It is at 81 street museum of natural history right?
Yes
I am from Thailand , Do you like Thailand ? Welcome to Bangkok Thailand
Would love to go to new york one day and if I do I would 100% go there and also keep up the videos you are an amazing youtuber and should not stop
I really would like to bring Lucy to this museum
Wow! Wish I could go there.
wow. that looks like a giant cave.
Atrium and insectarium were fantastic for all ages! Invisible Worlds was disappointing to me and not worth the $6 unless you have young kids.
6:42 that was just weird.
lol the electric slide/cupid shuffle?
wheres da pizza?
not in this one haha.
@Marjen Sales At Bleecker Street Pizza 😅😂😊
Every things will be charged.
Another comment: I didn’t go to the glider center but I went somewhere else
It looks like the set of planet o the apes
公石
Sorry but charging additionally for everything is just ridiculous
Id love to go if everything wasnt an admission PLUS PAY PER ATTRACTION. My god is science and education only for the rich?
I can't visit NYC with my family until they get crime and the crazy protesters under control.
You’ll be fine
Eeeeeeeek Insect exhibit NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, I went to a butterfly exhibit at the gardens near me, staff examine your person in a little vestibule before leaving to make sure no hitch hikers
Meh, I would rather go walk in Central Park.
Hottest? i doubt it
Some one here can help me?
fake pseudo experience of nature, like Disneyland's castle or Las Vegas' fake Europe. try going behind the museum to Central Park. Bah, humbug!
i wouldn't compare this to Vegas or Disneyland. This is one of the top science museums in the world.
Thank you for helping me find my new buckets...🪣🪣🪣🪣🪣👍
It finally opened? Was just at the museum a couple months ago.
