I've never left a theater with so much emotion as "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." The incredible ending, then he walks up to the gates, and they open for him, with that sad, haunting music that lets you know this isn't real. It's a fairy tale. It's a happy ending that should have been and never was. None lived happily ever after. However, Quentin gave us the happy we all wanted and the world needed. I cried and felt so happy at the same time. Very strange emotions of loss and fulfillment. Brilliant!.

When I watch this movie, being 72, I see more than the younger crowd. The movie may be confusing and even distasteful. But I carry my memory of these days, so I can fill in the spaces which could be there. And in my world there is a lot more than you can possible know about and see in this movie. So if you don't like it, for any reason, it could be because you don't have that frame of reference and our paradigm have completely changed. Young people my youth days are so much different then today 2020, and you are forgiven that your opinion of the movie is negative. Feel sad for those people under say 40 and I would never want to be young again. Checking out soon and I am comfortable about that.
